Anybody that supports VDM is either not too smart or not too educated. In all this Femi Falana gave VDM an option of apology. In the 48 laws of power, law number 5 is very explicit and sunnict ; your reputation is everything, guard it with your life. VDM opened his wide mouth to call-out a whole Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) with over 50 years of hardwork and defence of the human rights of people without concrete proof and believes that there will be no consequence, then he must be joking. As an Ekiti Man that Femi Falana is, I trust him to take action so that the loud mouthed VDM will start to know that at least be responsible with his mouth. |

It's indeed a shame and a pity for Nigeria through Edo State to be witnessing this today. Only Almighty God will Judge this presumed victory. Edo people have categorically said they would reject the APC but viola ! You can see this now. Imagine a whole Governor that can't articulate his own thought in an understandable manner to TV presenters, investors and the wider public becoming a first citizen in a historical and strategic state like Edo. emkz:I like your matured response and usually read your objective articles on Nairaland, however I can say categorically that the feedback I got from Edo yesterday was that the PDP results were manipulated significantly. Like you also pointed out it's better Edo people resist such impositions because if Edo people really wanted to show Obaseki their stuff, the sympathy votes should have gone to LP and not APC. A party that moved all it's arsenal to Edo just to get a Gubernatorial Victory. Haba ! Edo people are not known to take the worst from the best. I carefully read this write-up / article depicting winners and vanquished in Edo Guber elections. This result the author analysed is an obviously disputed result. Save yourself the long epistle sir and wait for the courts. Even a person without sight, hearing and smell in Edo State will tell you that presumed winner was imposed on them. Reuben Abati (PhD) said it clearly & prophetically on the morning show last week that after the Edo Gubernatorial elections there would be a lot of court litigations. A lot of people came for Reuben Abati (PhD) saying he is was a prophet of doom. This election was a bare-faced ridicule. Hmmm. |

With the devaluation of the Naira, any transaction done in FX will look like an exponential increase in volume. Nigeria has an intelligent and brilliant set up. If we are to calculate "real growth", let the calculation be done in dollars and compared to last year's export value. We can't keep deceiving gullible people specifically to make Government look good. A ton of Gold last year was $60 million in FY 2022 and price remains marginally the same in FY 2023. However in naira equivalent. In 2022 Gold was N42B @ N900 - $1 and 2023 Year ended @ N1400-$1 =N78B. Same amount in dollars but devaluation of the Naira makes it look like a significant growth. Prof. Chukwuma Soludo noted this same "farce" when he noted the FAAC allocation that comes to States in FX ($) equivalent compared to what his predecessor earned during the Jonathan/Obj years in dollar($) equivalent was far more valuable. Mr. Peter Obi seems to underestimate his Political value to the scheme of things and is not playing his game optimally. The South East region and Peter Obi would have a very big opportunity to ascending the Presidency if Peter Obi plays his politics smartly. With the voting pattern revealed in the last election, a Peter Obi would be a better sell than an Atiku based on age and youth appeal. Peter Obi didn't have a solid structure in 2023 but has a better and wider reach through his Obidents movement. If I were in Peter Obi's shoes, Internal Party Politics of LP would be resolved swiftly and he will move to Edo state to ensure total victory for his candidate in Edo. Peter Obi should stop behaving like a political neophyte and move to Edo State as the two major gladiator seem to be daggers drawn on each other's neck. In life, guard your integrity with everything. Law no 5 in the 48 laws of Power written by Robert Greene states that "so much depends on your reputation". People of Igbo extraction and Anambarians don't know the value of the asset they have in the person of Prof. Chukwuma Soludo. His reputation, exposure and integrity gives validity to the projects he embarks on as Governor of Anambra State. I totally support this project. Anambra people & the SE should come together with a consensus on the Security of the region. Without security nobody will risk his life to visit this well articulated tourist attraction. The Southeast has been marginalized from the scheme of things - agreed ! However, the economy and progress of the region will not be magnified if they scare away investors and tourist as a result of insecurity. 2027, will present the best opportunity for the south east to shoot a direct shot for the Presidency of Nigeria as consensus is building around the southern presidency in 2027.
