Nigeria is not well structured. What are these clerics (muslins or christians) doing at d corridor of power. Why are we wasting money on what is supposed to be private affairs. The sane way the mad people in government glorify thugs and touts and make them millionaires overnight. Big INSULTS.

PoliticsRe: Doyin Okupe Offers N1million To Anyone That Can List 10 Achievements Of Buhari by lapo(m): 11:03am On Jan 28, 2015
No one should blame Buhari for jailing the corrupt leaders while he was the head of state. No jail sentence should be too long for looters of our common wealth. The other day at a rally I heard President Jonathan emphasising 309 years sentence and I shook my head for him. Elsewhere looters treasuries are executed. Children, babies and mothers die needlessly in hospitals just because some mindless, greedy people have carted away the resources that could otherwise have been used to provide the basic health care. When the expenses scandal broke out in the UK, there was no sacred cow. Some MPs went to jail for fiddling an amount as small as 69pence. Why was Jonathan talking like that. Is he saying we have had a dream country under his watch, when corruption happens under his nose. We cannot afford to carry in the sane old way. A change, most fundamentally, must happen. Something, definitely, must give.

Praise them. That's investigative journalism. Some people don't want this war to end because they smile to their banks everyday.

PoliticsAs Bode George Goes To Jail by lapo(op): 10:18am On Nov 02, 2009
As Bode George Goes To Jail
The landmark judgment in the trial of Chief Bode George is an indication that the judiciary can save the country from imminent collapse. More importantly, it can wrestle the country from the grip of the PDP's unbridled desire to turn the country into a one-party state. Many kudos to the judiciary. It is important to remember here that a good number of PDP state governors and other office holders have lost their positions through various tribunal and court actions. The latest being the sacking of Senator Iyiola Omisore. An Appeal court has ordered a fresh election in his senatorial district. So his latest travail serves him double 'wahala'. It is good that we are beginning to see a clear separation of powers of the tiers of government. This is healthy for both our political and economic developments.
As deputy chairman of the South West PDP, Chief George was larger than life. He was the Face of PDP. He possessed the hat trick to 'create' political office holders.
So his supporters are thinking the establishment made a sacrificial lamb of him. They may not be far from the truth going by the speech of President Obama while visiting Ghana. 'No business wants to invest in a place where the government skims 20 percent off the top, or the head of the port authority is corrupt.' he had said. The Yaradua's administration needed to prove to Mr Obama that his anti corruption drive is real. Bode George came handy. May be we can expect Obama to visit Nigeria soon.

All said, let me wrap it up by saying to the members of the bench 'keep it up'

The Atlas Cove Jetty attack was the most politically insensitive action of the so called militants. They'd better started to MEND their ways.

This seems to me another way of siphoning cash unless there is absolute transparency in the process. The Nigerian public will like to how the federal government arrived at this decision. Again the Nigerian public would like to ask if this kind of monetary enticement would not encourage more youths to carry arms.
