The move, according to the bank, was to promote convenience, ease of transactions and the security of funds.

“The FirstBank Contactless Naira Master Card enables quick pin-less purchases and is a fast secure way for customers to shop locally and globally.

“The contactless card can be used for making payments in the London transport network such as buses, tubes, trams, Dock and Light Railway (DLR) and the London Overground as well as in Grocery shops, supermarkets and Gas stations within London metropolis.

“The card is designed to enhance a cashless lifestyle by promoting increased card usage for lower value transactions. Payments are made by tapping the card on the POS machine with contactless functions for low value transactions; the card can also be used in a regular POS as a normal MasterCard,” it explained.

The daily limits for pin-less transactions are N3,000 for the contactless naira Mastercard and N10,000.00 for the contactless Platinum Debit MasterCard.

Furthermore, it revealed that the FirstBank Verve debit card is Chip & PIN secured for greater protection of customers’ funds and provides extra protection for web-based transactions with “Safetoken.”

“It is accepted wherever the Interswitch or Verve logo is displayed and can also be used to perform transactions via the Quickteller services menu on FirstBank ATMs. This Card is issued in 15 minutes at FirstBank branches, saves time and is very easy to obtain.

“With the FirstBank Expressions on Card, Customers now have the freedom to design the look and feel of their cards with their most cherished memories and spend with a card that is as unique as them,” it added.

My true talk what's the essence of the various cards.. Debit Debit and Debit up and down ..when you have enough to empower people more with credit facility at the micro level.. and also the issue of double digit interest..quote author=dollarsplenty post=67572674]I always wonder why first bank has millions of customers. Lately I came to conclusion that Nigerians are very patient people.
After all, if we can be patient with Buhari, then, what is first bank that we cannot tolerate them. If you can bank with first bank, you can bank with any bank in Nigeria.[/quote]

Keep building without building the people... Development should be people oriented.. Lagos needs mass housing.. Here you are talking about land filling.. APC and their propaganda.. uote author=AutoJoshNIG post=65837938]Have you traveled by the Oworonshoki end of the Third Mainland Bridge lately?

Ever wondered about what is going on at the Oworoshoki waterfront?

Indeed, anyone that has passed through that part of Lagos would have noticed an enormous “sand filling” – or land reclamation work – going on there.

Once-upon-a-time, not-too-long-ago, that spot used to be a beehive of illegal dredging activities in Lagos.

So, after sand-filling the waterfront, whats next?

Well, here is whats next.

The Lagos State Government is working to transform the Oworonshoki Waterfront into one of the biggest transportation, tourism and entertainment hubs in Nigeria.

Yes. An elegant Mega Ferry and Bus terminus is about to be built at that once blighted location.

And that’s not all.

The Mega Jetty and Bus terminal will have other entertainment and Tourism facilities like multiple Boutique, hotels, museums/art galleries, sport and recreational facilities as well as a 1000 capacity car park, based on the design master plan of the area.

Upon completion, Lagosians would be able to embark on travel from Oworonshoki either via water, using the Jetty Terminal or via Ultra-Modern Buses departing from the New Bus Terminal.

This project is part of a grand design by the Lagos state government to reduce human and vehicular traffic gridlocks on the roads connecting the Island, Apapa and other parts of the Mainland.

Clearly, Ambode is not joking!

I regret buying Tecno phone most especially camon CX cos the phone is full of fault. Imagine a phone that is malfunctioning in terms of the phone restarting by its self and after restarting the apps in the phone will be appearing double not only that u can't switch off the phone or restart it urself unless u press and hold on to the button. The latest fault now is that the camera that was awesome before has now turn to a nightmare to me. Pls my advice is do not buy Tecno or infinix or itel phones they re complete low quality phones. I don't want any body to regret it later just as iam right now.
That's what I tell people.. Those phones are wack I told a friend that the camera disintegrate with time and I doubt the size of the internal memory.. I will never stoop low Ti buy tecno again.
