airmark: Do i look like biomustry who set the stupid criteria?
Hazard was the second best player at the world cup, the biggest soccer tournament in the world. That's what some critics were asking from him in the past so wtf with foolish questions now?
Ballon d'or won...............0 European best won........0 UCL won.........................0 Golden boot won............0 UCL finals played...........0 Highest assists won.......0 Uefa super cup won.......0
PietroRick: At this point, I don't know if he's beginning to sound a bit repititive/monotonous or it's the reporters that keep asking the same questions
It seems the reporters keep asking him the same questions as always.
raumdeuter: Tinubus CSO who they protested that they dont want in Lagos
As in, it’s very funny when I saw it. It’s not as if they are going to win Lagos before. I’m expecting Kola to give a press conference on how Buhari/APC wants to use police to rig Kwara election.
You remembered the discussion we had about APC winning Kwara?
A broken plane, A broken dream, A broken heart, A broken team, No word said, A silent vow made; We loved you then, We love you now. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN We will never DIE #FlowersOfManchester.
raumdeuter: I am not sure City have it in them to win this title. They have other domestic distractions while Liverpool can rest between games, those extra days will come useful towards the end of the race
raumdeuter: I doubt they can keep up that intensity. Felipe Anderson and some of ther forwards are looking tired
Shaqiri don enter with new energy
Surprisingly, Pool defense has been shaky all night. It might because of Milner and Matip though. If Lpool continue like this, they might just gift City the league.
diggz: Sup bro...having difficulties getting into that mail....I don forget the password. If e no dey too urgent, kindly allow me till the end of today lemme try if i can access it...or gimme your mail so I can reach out to you.
Ibime: Nice analysis. Onnoghen must be behind the court order excluding APC from Rivers election.
Buhari is quite slow. An active President would have moved against Onnoghen a year ago, not 2 weeks to election as that would cause kasala. The old man probably did not know that Onnoghen was a problem till the decision against Rivers and Taraba APC.
Rivers State has always owned the judiciary in this country. Odili had corrupted the judiciary through his wife Mary who is a Judge, and got favourable judgements for anything to do with Rivers State eg his perpetual injunction against EFCC, Amaechis 2007 win which was bought for $10m etc, and Wike as the biggest power player in both Odili and Amaechis Government is also very strong in buying over the judiciary.
I once met Wike in London in the 2000s when he was Obio-Akpor chairman. He came to meet my friend poopsie who is a Judge about a matter in court. I was quite disgusted that a Judge would be meeting with a party in a court case. That's why I just dey laugh at all these people shouting breach of Constitution. Those rules are made with the assumption that the Judiciary is impartial, yet the Judiciary is one of the most corrupt professions in our country. Even during military regime, Judges were some of the richest men in Society as the Military relied on them for legitimacy and paid very well for it.
I just dey laugh those carrying matter for head, as if a sitting President will allow the opposition hijack the CJN, and will do nothing about it, allowing the CJN free hand to ban Rivers and Taraba APC from elections, and undoubtedly making judgements after elections to hand over several states and Senate seats to the opposition. I just blame the dullard for not buying over the CJN to his side earlier. Tinubu and Amaechi could have done that for him.
Forget all those ranting, nothing is going to happen. I think Buhari is trying too hard to be seen as a real born again democrat that’s why he’s just allowing everyone to do as they like. He should have never allow distance to be between him and Tinubu when he won, Tinubu and Amaechi would have be the one doing all the dirty politics for him.
Our judiciary is corrupt, Yes I agree and any attempt to sanitize that arm of government will be seen as an attempt to control that arm. Onnoghen should not have been made CJN in the first place, I think they were pressured into it because the most senior after Onnoghen is a northerner.
It’s not even funny excluding APC from Rivers and Taraba elections, This is not the first time there will be parallel congress during some state primary election but disenfranchising a party across all level in the state election shouldn’t hold.
A lot will be brought to light in the coming days.
Ibime: Oga larride, please give us your analysis of Onnoghen situation. Thank you kind Sir.
Politics, Politics and more Politics bro.
What is saddening is that a whole CJN is in this kind of mess and the explanation of forgetfulness is just annoying, how can you forget an account with over $3 million. It’s really saddening.
Now, politics is a very dirty game, there are some people that knows you have some skeleton in your cupboard and will either be using it blackmail you or just keep it till they can use it to strike (Same thing happened to Adeosun).
I am very certain that those using this undeclared asset against the CJN knew from the very beginning and were just bidding their time to strike. We can all argue whether the timing is right or wrong but the custodian of the law shouldn’t be in this mess in the first place.
Our constitution is one of the problems we have in this country, the constitution is silent on some very crucial issues. The constitution makes it clear that only the NJC can recommend the removal of the CJN with the 2/3 of the National Assembly yet the same constitution is silent on suspension. Onnoghen himself ruled in 2014 that the CCT is the highest court in the land empowered to try cases of undeclared assets of public officers, so the CCT cannot abdicate that responsibility to the NJC. Onnoghen is the chairman of the NJC, who do you expect the man to try himself? The honorable thing Onnoghen should have done is to step side pending the duration of th case.
The Interpreation Act 2004 gives the president power to suspend indefinitely but not the power to remove without the 2/3 of National Assembly. That’s the loophole the FG is basing the whole thing on.
There can’t be a vacuum in government, the constitution 1999 section 241(B) gives the president power to appoint an acting CJN if the CJN is incapable of performing his duties.
The whole case will be won/loss on technicalities.
