I don't think that's the fault of social media but the upbringing of the girl. There's time for family and there's time for fun. Your husband can't be talking to you about the food you cook for him and you are busy pinging away, that's really rude. Just like I said, social media has its cons and pros, if you become too addictive to them (NL, twitter, facebook e.t.c) and neglect things that should be done, then its definitely going to affect.

To me, I don't think social media is capable to make or mar a relationship. Just like everything in life, social media as its cons and pros. It depends on how much influence social media has in the relationship.
