I'm more determined than an average Joe. Most people here get broken and disappointed along the way.... People here don't tell how things really are to prospective students... If people were sincere in answering the questions I posed before resigning and moving to Finland then, I wouldn't have gone there. I'm not saying Finland is bad, but if you have something good doing in Nigeria it's better you go to another country no matter the stress involved (it's an investment that pays off later on).... As for links, you have to search out that on your own; that's part of your required research skills. With good grades, impressive GRE score and good recommendations I believe you'll be fine (say in US/ Canada).... Of course, not everyone can get full scholarship and grant in Canada, a fact!

Modified: I just noticed that you got full funding... That's still very good for you.... My advice is mainly meant for someone with no/ partial funding. BTW, how did you know I've graduated

On a more serious note, i have not decided yet cos my marriage is still young and am running my masters in unilag(just started)
Oya gist me now, how s d educational system there, u said it s not easy for student and u almost made a 5point(na super distinction be dat)
As per your PhD will u consider staying in Finland if admitted abi u have vex patapata

You people are competing with average Asians (Indans, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis....). You are probably better than most of them as a serious Nigerian student. There is only some kind of bias towards black (lips sealed)....

I'll advise any of you with determination to process other countries.... Preferably Canada... Thank me later.

I was after Canada for two years,I tried Manitoba,Alberta and sakaschewan, no potential supervisor , I spoke wit a lecturer from Manitoba he said he s not ready to supervise Nigerian student..Bt I believe my PhD won't be dat stressful to get
If u have a link to get me a masters admission to any of Canadian sch listed above wit full scholarship and a grant(living expenses)i will appreciate

4.49 on d scale of 5? Ur school wicked ooooooo...so dey can't round it up to 4.5...I think u stand a chance, as AV said earlier dat I don't really know much

I did not make a first class but I have a very strong 2 1.my toefl score is a bit above UAF cut off wc was 90.I have two published paper and attended one international conference.
About my transcript,what I did was I submitted the student copy of my transcript with other document posted to UAF.Although UAF confirmed it was unofficial but they did not remove it from the parcel. So I think the school I applied to worked on the unofficial copy. That really helped me cos my official transcript got to UAF after the stipulated deadline.
Art and Social science-seriously I don't know, cos i'm new on dis platform, infact Finland admission generally. I think frankie2K will be perfect for d question

So LUT gave me admission with 50% scholarship. I don't know whether to call it a bad thing or a terrible something. I intend to mail them to keep the admission plus the stupid 50% and give it to someone else.

D remaining 50% will be around 2million..

Congrats dear. I thank God for you. You must be admitted to the IMPIT program to get the monthly stipend. I applied to UEF but was declined cos i applied with HND and PGD. Seems na only Bsc dem dey value. I was interviewed by LUT and I am waiting for the result. I pray for full scholarship and stipends. So that the bank statement issue wont come up with its whala

My transcript got delivered to UAF after the supplementary closing date and UAF mailed me that it won't be process cos dey don't treat late enclosure.I even begged thru mail also told dem d factors that might have caused d late arrival and I receive the reply telling me they have their policy and always strict wit it

It was so stress full , @a point I tot 1 won't have d admission cos d wahala university admission Finland gave me on my transcript na die but I Thank God

Tut and jylslka admission is out so if u got admitted please post and if u were given any form of scholarship with stipends abeg update here. Lut interview is on going and uef admissions will be out soon. Who done receive email from uef?.

I got admitted into uef wit 100% scholarship and monthly stipends...yet to start the Rp processing

Dis s a stale news anyways Mind u she had the operation 3diff times according to what I read..the ist operation was on one of her breast after some years she lost her second breast ...I think the 3rd one was due to complications or she discovered lumps growing from the ist breast that was operated earlier... kind of
