They don’t send mails for passed medicals, you only get to see the update in both tracker and gckey

I submitted April 14th 2023. My medicals was passed May 18 but eligibility hasn’t started yet. Background check still in process.

I have sent many webforms and emails still no updates.

The waiting is tiring but I believe God for this Month.

Passed medicals Jan 11
Background chk started same Jan
Sent webform 16th may
Update on tracker for main and spouse applicants 17 may
Eligibility review started for spouse May 19
Eligibility hasn’t started for main applicant
No update since then

For work permit, does eligibility review start before background check?

Hi guys. My tracker got updated yesterday, May 31st since April 19th. And I saw this information there:

'We received the information you sent us. We’ll review it and let you know if we need any other information from you.'

Please note that I didn't upload any additonal documents, my eligibility has not started and my background check is still in progress? Did anyone experience same? Does this mean PPR will be out soon? This anxiety is a lot o. lol

I know someone who got BVL and PPR two days after seeing this update on her tracker, did anyone else experience this?

It only means your application has gone to the next stage so stay positive

The documents are probably the ones you uploaded with your application and it doesn’t mean anything. Background checks will run until your passport is stamped. The important aspect is eligibility, once it’s completed you can expect a decision. It will end in praise.

My eligibility started last week for work permit though. But it’s surprising that it only began eligibility for spouse and not the main applicant

Haaa God Abeg o, my passport will expire in August 2023, cus I applied in 2020, but I’ve gotten bvl and visa number, although I’ve not gotten mail from dem to upload my new passport, but will soon go for collection of my new passport , can I send it to dem once I get it or I shld wait for dem to request for it?

Abeg go renew your passport fast!

It simply means that no record was either found or submitted that the main applicant is studying at a DLI.

Yes applied from outside Canada. But eligibility started two days ago. But it only started for spouse and not for main applicant. So I wonder if this is right?

Do we have work permit applicants here who submitted last year and still waiting for a decision? Please share your timeline

Biometric done 28 December and uploaded same day
Medical passed : jan 11
Been on background check since Jan
Eligibility check :not started.
