Jeboy:
When we condemn the act people give as excuse for abusing asylum privilege it looks like we dont want there progress. For one National that falsely claims asylum in Canada about 2k genuine persons will be refused also. That is the effect. So sorry for your refusal even with such high profile.

I am happy you are applying for your notes, it will give you better clarity of what to do.
Bro, the asylum claim isn't related to the refusal. First, Canada is actively working to reduce the number of temporary residents. Second, based on my experience with applications, the gap between his opening and closing balance raises questions. If he can't explain how he accumulated those funds, it might be assumed that the money was simply deposited for travel purposes. Also, did he provide a convincing reason for visiting Canada? And what were his home ties? I'm not advocating for false asylum claims; I'm just saying that linking his refusal to that claim isn’t entirely accurate. Just my two cents though

Anyone who submitted in first week in April got a visa. I miss my wife and daughter , i need to see them fast🥲..i just want to visit 🥲🥲🥲 nothing more. Is 1year already , i got denied twice applying for Swop because she is doing diploma. Now i jus want to visit...who sabi any VO🥲🥲🥲
The question is did you pass the eligibility requirements . And to the best of my knowledge, no VO would approve a SOWP for a diploma student's spouse. They stopped it since March or may. Not sure .
1. Purpose of visit.
2. Cost Living expenses
3. Home ties
4. Info about your partner studying in Canada.
You don't need to know any VO. Just prepare your next application by fulfilling requirements I listed. But before anything, order your GCMS note for the denied application first. I wish you the best in your next application

Lol that’s not true o. The longer your application doesn’t guarantee approval from.
PeSt007:
My application took 11weeks and 6days. If your application exceeds 7weeks, it will most likely be approved.

Let me use myself as example. I used micro finance as PoF. Visa officer sent a request letter requesting to see my funds in commercial bank.that micro finance is not acceptable. So pls don’t go near micro finance bank at all. I was lucky, u might not be with that. Just transfer your funds from your micro to your commercial bank and explain. Wish you best of luck!
ChiomaMC:
Hello gurus in the house.
Please I work in a microfinance bank and that's the account my salary is paid. Can I use the account as my POF, or I should transfer the money to my commercial bank account. If I transfer the money to my commercial account, do I need to print the transfer receipts and do I need to show statement of account of my microfinance bank account as well or the transfer receipts is enough?. I'm confused on the best thing to do here.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 12:21pm On Oct 16, 2023
Trust me, you must have skipped that place where they ask if you have done biometric before.
Kaydelegend01:
Thanks my ogas, I have done as advised. Now my spouse once did biometrics in Nigeria 2 years ago when he applied for a study permit back then. So after filling his details for his visiting application to enable him follow me, I was expecting to see a place where I would be asked if he had his biometrics done before. Nay! Now at the final stage, I saw that he will be charged 85 CAD for biometrics and 100 CAd for visa application. What Now happens to the existing and valid biometrics he has already ?

Your spouse comes first, followed by kids. You are not the one applying now as you got your ppr already.
Kaydelegend01:
Hello my people.

Please I got my ppr recently, my last baby and I.

Now I want to apply for my wife and 2 other kids.

Study permit for the kids and visiting or work visa for my spouse.

So I went to my account where I want to create a new application for these new family members.

Please look at the first page as attached, am I supposed to provide my information here or that of the applicants am bringing on board. Its very confusing.

Good evening my people, please I need response. To submit passport to VFS by courier, aside my passport, passport request letter, consent form and transmission fee, are vfs return courier and sms fee compulsory please? Since I prefer to pick the passport myself.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 3:36pm On Oct 14, 2023
Good afternoon my people. Please is it possible for one to send passport to VFS by Courier and go pick up by self? My friend wants to send his passport But that return charges by VFs ehn, is on the high side. Please I need reply.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 10:08pm On Oct 09, 2023
This is a case of chargeback. Did you hire an agent or contacted someone to make payment on your behalf? Well it’s like using a stolen credit card to pay and the owner of card reported and the money was refunded to him/her so automatically, you owe IRCC. It’s a big offence though. But if you can explain with concrete proof, you are safe! Iv seen people win charge back case. Think we’ll before you respond. I wish you Goodluck!
duncanmighty:
Good day house.
Trust you are doing great.
I will need your experienced insights on the study visa refusal note I'm attaching with this post.

A friend called me this morning and told me he was recently refused canada study visa and doesn't understand the details on the refusal note. He shared Screencast of the refusal notes but In as much as I know not much about canada I promised to get back to him after getting help from Nairalanders.

Attached Is the refusal notes.
What exactly does the content mean?
Why exactly was he refused based on the note ?
what exactly was expected of him when they said he was given 7 days to respond.?

I will gladly appreciate your quick inputs.
Bless you all

No need to trade words anyway. We are here to learn. I’m only telling you that validate the forms that need validation and the ones that don’t need validation don’t need you to print and sign. It’s even written boldly on the forms that you don’t need to sign. I don’t say what I’m not sure of. And I’m right when I said you shld put your name in d space meant for signature as long as the form allows you to type. Peace
JMG12:
Am not trading words with you, but try to write something in the place of the signature if you can be able? Then come back to reply a form that is not validated will not be treated and do not leave any form without signing or validating

Hello house. I’m asking for my friend who wants to apply for study permit. Does he need to still get a bank reference letter after getting MyBankStatement? Or MBS comes with bank reference letter. Thanks in anticipation.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 2:45pm On Sep 05, 2023
In my experience, when the officer sees that you have passed all eligibility test, then they send you medical request. Although, some people still get denied after passing medicals which was requested by IRCC. But most times, wen they request ur medical, it’s coz they are sure u Hv met other eligibility requirements. As for the background check, Abeg just leave that one. It states that way till your case is closed!
Nora064:
Good day guys; pls I need the gurus/experienced input.
I got medical request from IRCC 29th Aug; I did the medicals on 31st Aug. My profile was updated to Medicals passed on 2nd Sept. Then I noticed that on my profile under Eligibility- we are reviewing and under background check shows -
I thot the Eligibility and background check would hv been done b4 dey send me medical request?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 2:41pm On Sep 05, 2023
Please where did you hear that one that it must be signed sir? You don’t have to sign anything. Your full name can be written in the space for signing and all. Which one is print and sign again Biko?
JMG12:
IRCC form that doesn't have the validation button must be signed, you can print sign, and reupload or use electronic means

UCI is unique client Identification. It’s sets of number assigned to you when you apply for any immigration application in Canada. It’s unique because it’s only you that have that number and it never changes. That’s the number you use for all and subsequent applications to Canada. You can only get it after your first application. Hope you got it now?
KoolSpade:
Please what UCI and whats this for excatly ? help a brother, and i dont get replies here when ever i comment but if you can just email me at ekennaokere@gmail.com

Hmmm we plenty with this “recommend interview” thing. But they ought to have answered you after you submitted your updated SOA. I think they tend to forget applications that require second review.
SouthernBreeze:
Good evening house!

I just got my GCMS note after 9 days of applying via ATIP. My eligibility status is Recommend Interview, info sharing in progress, criminality and medical passed. What could this mean? This is my 15th week of waiting, applied May 17th. They requested for an updated MyBankStatement last week of August which I send the next day. This waiting is frustarating

Wow congratulations on your son’s arrival to Canada… may the new land bring him blessings… as for we, we still Dey hope ok IRCC lol
kenoja:
My Son Landing Update (to help guide others in line with our common goal of helping one another)

Took Air France from Lagos to Paris to Vancouver to Winnipeg (no transit visa required)

Air France requested for admission letter, letter of acceptance, school fees payment receipt and passport (with visa in it of course).

He gladly told me he was given his study permit without being asked any questions (obviously happy because we have over drilled him ready with so much questions etc.). Was told by the border officer to submit his passport and letter of introduction while other documents (POF docs) were given back to him.

His Port of Entry was Vancouver, so the experience may not be the same for everyone. Advisable to be over ready.

We thank God for a smooth journey for an unaccompanied Minor and we saw God's hands all over it.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 9:52am On Aug 29, 2023
Lol haba this is not true. The law says you have to be actively studying in that school. And you don’t need to submit another study permit application if you are already in Canada o. You can only do that if you are still outside Canada
Slippy:
someone told me U/Manitoba allows one to register and pay for just one course for the semester....u have to confirm this. You need it as you are required to be enrolled and studying before changing school. Then when you get admission elsewhere you submit a new study permit application with the new letter of acceptance.

Then there must be an issue with either the mobile number, email or both that you used in registering yoir NIN. Sorry, you can’t go there if you don’t register and pay. After payment, then send you email to go for biometric. So you can’t appear at their office if you don’t do the necessary things online
Kinggame1:
I can't get the verification code sent to my email. Is it necessary to register before going there

You are only safe if you the fund is still intact in the account you submitted. Did you say you are may applicanthuh? Wow!

I just got a correspondence from IRCC demanding for my updated bank statement. I hope I'm safe, eligibility started yesterday. May 17th applicant
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by Larryjam: 3:31pm On Aug 24, 2023
Wow you are lucky not to receive 5 year ban for misinterpretation
peejay03:
Hello everyone,

I was refused a visa on 2 grounds. First is the generic refusal of not been consistent with a temporary stay given the details provided in the application while the second reason is that I submitted a documentation that lacks authenticity. I applied for my GCMS note and it states that i did not disclose my previous refusals which I totally forgot to include in my application.

I intend reapplying and I need help with a template on how to explain these refusals. I've tried writing out something but the English isn't Englishing grin. I'd really appreciate it if someone with similar refusal and has gotten PPR could kindly share their LOE with me.

Alternatively, I won't mind if someone could kindly help me review the SOP used in the previous application to suit the refusal reasons. Kindly indicate please and I'll reach out. Thank you.

Surprisingly it’s 6 month on Canadian Visa office in Nigeria
JMG12:
Hello Lolone, as stated 4-6 months is the required statement I want to believe the account already have history so that can make up for the 4 months, when the money drop in your account then you can use it explain to the VO about the money and probably show evidence such as contract document or just anything to back it up.
"it will end in positive result"

Duhreen:
Very strange o. It was when I called ircc Ottawa office, the lady I spoke with checked my application and told me I’m still within my processing time but she will leave a note on my application. I now checked on 19th August and saw my medicals was passed on the 18th, in the evening. I didn’t even get a mail for that. I just decided to check my gckey and saw it. My tracker just updated it today sef.

Omo i don’t even know what is going on again but I’m just keeping faith alive and hoping for the best now.
