Yesterday, Senate Minority Leader, Eyinnaya Abaribe demanded the President’s resignation over the insecurity challenges facing the country. This has led to a lot of reactions with so many Nigerians also in support of the President tendering his resignation. The call for Buhari‘s resignation by some well-meaning Nigerians is happening because of the government’s failure in the area of tackling “Boko Haram” insurgency. According to Eyinnaya Abaribe, President Buhari promised Nigerians an end to Boko Haram and also vowed that their government should be stoned if terrorism did not end in Nigeria. Hajia P*ssy died earlier this week after battling a mysterious illness for the past two months. Hajia was one of the many proud ‘hos’ littering Snapchat who sell their bodies to fund their lavish lifestyle. In December last year, she fell sick and started having mysteriously intense headaches. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar wants PDP to focus on rebuilding the party first before talking about 2023 elections. Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has advised the opposition party to focus on rebuilding and strengthening the party. The former vice president in a tweet on Saturday, January 4, 2019, said it’s not yet time for the party to focus on elections. He tweeted, “Our preoccupation at this point in the @OfficialPDPNig should not focus on elections, but on rebuilding and strengthening our party for the challenges ahead of us.” Atiku’s tweet came barely two days after Walid Jibrin, chairman of the board of trustees (BoT) of the PDP, alleged that some people threatened because he refused to endorse the ex-vice president as PDP’s presidential candidate for 2023 general elections. It is safe to say that ‘Lord of Lamba’ (LOL), the 6-track Extended Play (EP) released by Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley, a fast-rising Nigeria musician, and songwriter, was the perfect way to cap his 2019. He came to limelight after the release of his hit track ‘Issa Goal’ in collaboration with Olamide and Lil Kesh. The song was officially meant to support the Super Eagles at the 2018 FIFA world cup in Russia. He was born and raised in Agege area of Lagos State and completed his education in the United Kingdom in south London after relocating at 11 years old. He got his stage name from late reggae icon Bob Marley. Naira Marley is a versatile singer with a powerful song genre of hip hop, bringing about a new melody of Afro Pop. These are evident in his new EP which follows months of hit singles back to back. ‘YanYanYan’ is a slow Studio Magic beat, bringing DMW’s ladies’ man ‘Mayorkun’ into the trap vibe. The Mayor of Lagos did not fall short as he switched into his singing mode and murdered the record. ‘Tingasa’ is a danceable song with good beats from Killertunes featuring Cblack the Ogologo crooner to make the song a monster jam. The song talks about different girls from different countries giving them qualifications each. This song shows that Naira Marley needs to put more energy into his lyrics. Also, the song lacks good volume and voice clarity; it does not sound professional of Killertunes. ‘Tesumole’ which means stepping on the devil, actually comes with its dance steps. It is a typical type of party jam you would surely dance to and it is produced by one of the best party jam makers, “Rexxie on the beat.” The song talks about dancing and carrying your legs to step on the devil as a child of God. It emphasizes that nothing is more important than when your money increases. ‘Isheyen’ is a Yoruba word that means ‘that work’. The Rexxie-produced song is a hit jam as it makes you vibe as usual. This song has no good lyrics as it seems he’s only talking gibberish. The song also lacks good sound quality and clarity. ‘Oja’, which is also produced by Rexxie, is about drugs and pills. On the track, he is saying he does not want drugs to make him insane. He also talked about drugs affecting addicts and making them act abnormal and doing wrong acts. His ‘Mafo’, a Yoruba word which means ‘don’t break’, is produced by Young John. This is arguably the best of his Extended Play (EP). He talks about himself and his crew as the life of Lagos. With the success of this track, it rescues the projects and helps it earn three out of five.

Photographer Monique Bunn has filed a $50 million lawsuit against Roc-A-Fella co-founder Damon Dash for allegedly committing sexual battery. In legal documents obtained by The Wrap, Bunn claims she was hired to shoot a campaign for Dash’s clothing line, Poppington, back in April. After the first day of shooting, the photog says she went back to Dame’s residence that he shares with partner Raquel Horn, where she was planning to spend one night in Dash’s daughter’s room. “While Bunn was sleeping, Dash approached Bunn and placed his hand on Bunn’s breasts and placed hands/fingers on Bunn’s buttocks,” it’s alleged in the lawsuit. “Dash did not have the permission or consent to touch Bunn’s sexual organs. Dash was wearing a robe and had no underwear on. Dash had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana all day.”Bunn also claims that Dash lied about landing a television deal with WEtv for a docuseries based on her life as a means to “keep Bunn silent” about the alleged assault. A rep for Dash didn’t immediately respond to The Wrap’s request for comment. Horn is also named in the lawsuit, as well as Poppington LLC and Damon Dash Studios, whom she accuses of theft by conversion and negligent emotional distress.

Agenda for tenure extension began September 21, Falana insists The presidency has for the umpteenth time debunked insinuations that President Muhammadu Buhari was nursing a third term in office at the expiration of his current tenure in 2023. Nigeria’s first citizens are constitutionally allowed two terms of four years each. But, for some strange reasons, speculations have been rife in social and mainstream media suggesting a subliminal decision by the president to extend his stay in office. Specifically, human rights lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN), and others recently accused Buhari and his team of allegedly working to seek a third term in office. However, reacting to the development late Monday night, the presidency in a statement signed by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said: “There are no circumstances – nor set of circumstances – under which President Buhari may seek to amend the constitution regarding the two-term limit on holding office as president. “The popularly acclaimed human rights lawyer and formerly unsuccessful opposition candidate for governor of Ekiti State, Femi Falana, has boarded the free publicity train full of those seeking personal media attention in claiming the president is planning a third term in office. [quote][/quote]“To repeat: All and every claim that is made that suggest President Muhammadu Buhari will stand for a third term in office is false.” He added: “The presidency wishes to correct internet-based gossip and uninformed media commentary regarding presidential term limits, given credence by so-called support groups, staging street demonstrations asking President Muhammadu Buhari to do a third term. “President Buhari intends to serve his full second elected term in office, ending 2023 – and then there shall be a general election in which he will not be a candidate. “There is not even the faintest possibility that this will change.” Nevertheless, Falana insisted that the agenda for tenure extension began on September 21, 2019 under the auspices of “Movement For the Approval Of Buhari Third Term”. He therefore urged Nigerians not to dismiss demonstrations seeking a third term for the president. The senior lawyer’s statement emerged few hours after the presidential denial. But he maintained that there was a hidden plot referencing actions of the group. Falana claimed that while the campaign lasted, the “demonstrators were not harassed by the police or the State Security Service (SSS), neither did the presidency deem it fit to disown nor dissociate itself from the campaign.” He said curiously after the earlier rebuttal, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Charles Enya, filed suit no. FHC/AI/CS/90/19 at the Federal High Court in Abakiliki praying for the amendment of sections 137(1) (b) and 182 (1) (b) of the constitution to allow for a third term for the president and state governors.
