I have read various comments on this post and was reluctant to contribute because some people see it as an opportunity to talk down on a fellow Nairalander which is not nice. We may disagree on issues without being insulting.

The story of the blacks in America is one that is quite complex. I acknowledge the sufferings of the African Americans who were slaves long ago and will not in any way diminish what they went through, it was horrifying and no one on earth should ever have to go through that. Be that as it may, the black community has been on a downward trajectory ever since slavery was abolished. In fact, some studies showed that black marriages has reduced by more that 70% while incarceration has increased by similar percentage between 1960s and now. The problem of the black man is not the white man, it is the black man and their leaders. We can discuss these another time.

Back to the issue of health, Covid-19 does not discriminate; the Surgeon General said that much today. The health crisis of black America is not new, but using Covid-19 to politicise it is a low low on the part of politicians and leaders, including Sean Combs. The health crisis in the African American community was a disaster waiting to happen. A study conducted in 2013 found that African Americans in the southern states of the US live averagely less than other parts of the US after their 65th birthday. The premise that African Americans don't have as good healthcare as the white does not hold at all. No amount of health insurance or cover will make up for poor health choices. These choices are what has made them susceptible to the virus and therefore the death rate. It is not a case of race, it is a matter of poor choices. It would have been better if Sean Combs had addressed the matter and educate their people earlier on with their music rather than lament now.

The black leaders of the African American communities have sold us all out. Blacks have been voting Democrats since like forever but the story is always the same. Obama came and said YES WE CAN, but in the end it was NO WE DIDN'T. H1N1 (Swine Flu) killed way more blacks during Obama's era, that data is there with CDC but no one cried fowl. The establishment is scared because blacks are finally leaving the plantation hence they are crying wolf. Future always proves the past.

I can tell you that on the basis of statistics and not just hearsay. 98% of all media in America is controlled by 6 corporations, the fact that something is in the papers or on TV does not mean it is genuine. Most of the news on the Chinese virus is fake news. The virus is real but the news is fake. This is a PLANDEMIC! (Check out Event 201). Like I said, I am speaking on the basis of statistics. The prediction models for the virus has been revised downwards three times in the last 72 hours and it is still going to come way down. Western countries rely on data not emotions.

They dont only crave for cheap labour but cheap technically educated labour too. India might offer that kinda of technical labour but I doubt if Africa can.

Secondly, the chinese labour have the spirit of collectivism. That worker ant mentality. They can work nine to twelve a day. Someone raised in a democratic setting like Nigeria or india or Americans does not believe in the worker ant mentality. A nigerian cant work nine to twelve without strong resentments. But up there in China, their communist upbringing ensures that and capitalists from the west are capitalising on it.

You are right. I think this is the reason Trump moved more to improve relationship with India. The population number is similar and also labour availability. I believe Trump saw ahead and he decided to diversify the cheap labour market that American companies always sought by also negotiating USMCA. This will give American companies a choice of India and Mexico to choose from in terms of labour and these two nations are a democracy unlike the communist China.

China has more to lose in the long run, hence the Chinese Virus.

I think the Germans are more technologically advanced than the boastful US in tackling this virus. Despite having over 120000 cases, Germany still have a striking 1,000+ deaths, there something they're doing better than their western counterparts. And I like them, they don't make audio noise like the US. Maybe the US should give trump's chloroquine recommendation a try, after all its been a lose lose situation. May God help us.

Chief, that your assertion is not correct. USA's number is being inflated. Any death in the US right now is classified as a COVID-19 even if a person died of accident on the highway and that's not true but they want to make Trump look bad. I am sure the figure will be revised way down very soon.

Also, this article just show us people digging, are we sure the people being buried there died of Covid? There are no caskets shown. The world will learn the truth before the end of this month. Fake News is indeed the enemy of the people!

One thing every Nigerian should realise is that there is no free lunch anywhere. China is giving the ventilators to New York City unlike Russia that gave a plane load of medical equipment to the USA as a whole. There is a lot to what we can see here and we all need to sought alternative news from different places in order to have the complete picture.

IMHO, China is not doing the US a favour. The reason is that New York currently has over 6000 ventilators locked up in a warehouse in New Jersey. New York has about 3000 ICU bed according to the governor. Mind you, they don't bury the dead with each ventilator or discard them afterwards; it can always be reused on another patient. This is all a political play all along, the Chinese are just embarked on PR for their battered reputation in order to mitigate against the barrage of law suits that are on the way. Many countries i.e. UK, USA, Australia and some in Europe are already making legislation to move manufacturing of essentials like pharmaceuticals back to their respective country. China itself have developed a second outbreak of the virus and now it's in Shanghai. They can kill their own citizens with the virus because there is no Human Right Watch in China. The Chinese gift like the proverbial Trojan horse is meant to further divide America. If China were honest, the ventilators should be sent to the USA government.

Lest I forget, India just filed a suit against China.

China did not cure it. Many Nigerians do not seem to understand that the CCP is a propaganda based government. All those whose temperatures were taken in Wuhan and deemed to have fever were taken to the emergency hospital that they built and quarantined. The more a person's case worsens, the further inside the hospital they are moved until dead body come out on the other side and are cremated. Search for the sale of Urn (used to preserve ashes) in Wuhan around the same time, you will have an idea of how many people actually died.

Don't trust the Chinese dude, the videos you see about their country is what the ruling CCP want you to see.
