Trumped up charges. With a good lawyer, he’s as good as free. They have charged him in the media and painted the whole process as a publicity charade. Can’t remember the last time ‘music’ passed as a probable cause to arrest an individual on suspicion of fraud. After all he’s not the first to use music to glorify crimes and vices in Nigeria. Too many individuals are stealing the country dry, tarnishing it’s image and getting away with it.

Using Naira Marley as a scapegoat is not a deterrence against Internet Fraud but an ATTACK on FREE SPEECH. The message is not to stop yahoo but to scare those who want to sing/joke and be comical about it.

I don’t condone it. It is terrible for the country's image BUT again SPEECH should never be probable cause.

Boeing is a very complex and dangerous aircraft to fly compared to cesenna and the likes. To prevent future disastrous occurrence like this, I suggest airports and aviation authorities around the world should make commercial airliners fly on cesennas only which usually is safer and can accommodate a maximum of 4 passengers. Even if na Australia or new Zealand you dey go they will first go and drop four passengers first before they come back to carry another four. That's my own opinion.

OMG, I love your suggestion but I hate the 4 passenger thing. I would rather suggest 1, or preferably using the people in your village with super flying powers.

Never claimed I voted. Diaspora voting is still not a thing in 21st century INEC. News online claimed accreditation stopped at a certain time for voting to begin.

My take.

As a core member and follower of APC, I find the OP knowledgeable to even put this topic up for debate. Mr President could still have emerged the winner in a better organized election. However, everything about this election suggested that INEC could have been manipulated from the election itself to local and state collation processes.

# of Accredited Voters should remain constant across the three elections more so since voting only starts after accreditation. Indeed some might have returned home frustrated at the process without voting, yet they should still have been accounted for either as rejected votes or invalid votes.

Also no one seem to be talking about the lack of an automated collation systems that would’ve made collation faster, safer and more transparent.

In a centralized electoral system with only the minimum efforts and technology, every Nigerian should be able to see the results from every wards and unit in the country.

War torn territories have voters too, but what explains their lower voter apathy compared to peaceful states? Perhaps it is the case that electoral monitoring is a little harder in places like Borno and Yobe. In places where monitoring is high, the race appeared tighter with more acceptable outcomes (Buhari still won but not with such margin).

INEC needs 21th century administrators. Way too many brilliant young Nigerians for the country to rely on such expensive piece of sh*t.

The next 4 years should be revolutionary for any party that wins the presidency. Nigerians are gradually waking and elections are becoming closely contested.

Nigeria may never grow to the level of advanced societies if it doesn’t place its citizens above the political interests of a few. No Nigerian should aide corruption by supporting money laundering, vote buying and electoral malpractices. However what you find on this platform and many others is the disregard for common decency, lack of candor and justification for corruption either through whataboutism or deliberate falsification of facts.

Mr. President has condemned this act, you too can do the same.

My President has ordered ruthless response to ballot box snatching, yet many condemn without reasoning.

Injecting cash into the economy because of elections would only come back to bite us when inflation begins to increase again. Nigerians can do better than remaining desensitized to corruption due to years of poor leadership.

Ballot box snatching comes with violence and killings. Nigerian lives must be respected at all cost, that’s the oath of office administrated to the President on his day 1.
