That's why christ brought an end to the law of moses because it was weak and made nothing perfect....Ephesians 2:15;Hebrews 7:18-19;Romans 10:4
imagine a law that stops priests from helping dose who r almost at the point of death simply because it will make them unclean...
just imagine a lady had only 30k her as "tithe" and her brother was terribly ill and needed 2 b at the hospital.....after using the supposed tithe money to save her brother...her pastor was angry with her when she attended church service on sunday, for using "God's money" to save her brother from death.... huh huh
But Christ did not ask us to stop paying tithe.

Hello Niaralanders.

How do you resolve conflicts/disagreements in your marriage?

Do you discuss it quietly or with raised voices?
Do you listen so as to know what to say or do you listen to understand him/her?
Do you involve third parties?
Can people look at your face and discern that there is an issue between man and wife?
Do you approach conflict resolutions from 'my' or 'our' perspective?
At what point do you pray about the issue?

Pls let's discuss. You never know how helpful your comment could be to someone.

Read deut 14:22-29, there you will learn that you can eat out of your tithe and also give to those in need but if you really want to know the truth, christians are not supposed to tithe in the first instance.
hmmm. why is deut.14:22-29 not taught in Church?

Pls kindly explain why Christians should not pay tight in the first instance.

I asked this question in a bible school some years ago and was told that no matter the situation tithe is sacred and should not be touched for any reason...

Pls what's your response to the scenario below?

You are on your way to pay your tithe(which is the only money you have at the moment) and you meet a friend whose wife is in labour or an accident victim who needs the exact amount of money you have on you(your tithe). What will you do?

HealthDirtiest Places In Your Home And Workplace by Lateralmaths(op): 3:10pm On Aug 07, 2015
A researcher advises that infection risk could drastically be reduced if people were more aware of the dirtiest places in their homes and workplaces. Ask yourself this question: which room harbors more bacteria, your kitchen or your bathroom? The answer may surprise you -- but it illustrates an important point: ignorance and improper cleaning help spread disease-causing bacteria viruses in the home, a researcher said. Chuck Gerba, a University of Arizona professor, said surveys have shown that consumers are woefully ill-informed when asked to name the dirtiest place in their house, and that, if better instructed, they could drastically reduce infection risk. While most people think that toilets and bathroom sinks harbor the worst and greatest numbers of disease-causing microbes, studies by Gerba and others have found otherwise. Researchers have found more fecal contamination in the kitchen: in 60 percent of sponges, 50 percent of kitchen sinks, and 25 percent of countertops. "If I was bacteria in my next life, I'd want to live in a sponge -- there's no better place," said Gerba, noting they get food and water there. To avoid such contamination, Gerba suggested that sponges could be sterilized by 30 seconds in a microwave, or by using them with a bleach-based cleaner. Surprisingly, bathrooms are usually cleaner than kitchens because Americans properly disinfect sinks and toilets, said Gerba. In one study, Gerba and students observed 15 houses for four months. They measured pathogen levels in kitchens and bathrooms at the start, and found that kitchens were more heavily contaminated. The homeowners included in the study were given bleach cleaners and told to follow the label. As a result, even minimal cleaning reduced germs. With new instructions to clean more often and to target certain pathogen-loaded areas, such as cutting boards and refrigerator handles, there was a 90 to 95 percent reduction in germ levels, Gerba said. The newest dirty place, Gerba noted, is the laundry room. In studies with hundreds of pounds of soiled clothes, Gerba found that 12 minutes in the wash and 28 minutes of drying were not enough to knock out Hepatitis A, rotavirus, adenovirus or Salmonella bacteria. Gerba cautioned that people shouldn't believe they are safer in the workplace. In one study, he found that 60 percent of office coffee cups were infected with E. coli, mostly because they were being wiped out with a sponge and then being reused.

Christianity Etc20 Scripture Verses That Define Mature Manhood by Lateralmaths(op): 1:49pm On Jul 23, 2015
A beard might help you look like a mature man. A “manly” smell based off the latest deodorant or cologne campaign might help you smell like a mature man. Even a high ranking position at work or a recent increase in salary might make you feel like more of a man. But nothing, and I mean nothing, better defines what it means to become and stay a mature man than the scriptures.
Not convinced?
Here are 20 Bible verses that you will help you build and maintain a true mature manhood.
“Brothers, do not be children in your thinking. Be infants in evil, but in your thinking be mature.” -1 Corinthians 14:20
“A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might, for by wise guidance you can wage your war, and in abundance of counselors there is victory.” -Proverbs 24:5-6
“ Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” -1 Timothy 4:12
“ And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” -Hebrews 10:24-25
“It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline?” -Hebrews 12:7
“ For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.” -1 Timothy 4:8
“ But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.” -1 Timothy 6:11
“S peak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.” -1 Thessalonians 2:4
“ Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,” - Philippians 2:3
“ And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” -1 Peter 5:10

PoliticsConfab Report: Afenifere Insists On Nigeria’s Restructuring by Lateralmaths(op): 1:55am On Jul 23, 2015
The pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has stated that Nigeria will continue to battle with its socio- political and economic challenges until the federal system is restructured. The group, which based its endorsement of former President Goodluck Jonathan against President Muhammadu Buhari on the convocation of the 2014 National Conference and implementation of the confab’s report, said the new administration might not make headway without executing the recommendations. The PUNCH had exclusively reported on Wednesday that Buhari was not favourably disposed to the implementation of the report, despite the fact that Jonathan handed over the document to the President, alongside his (Jonathan’s) handover notes. A Presidency source had hinted that Buhari would not implement the report because he never believed in the conference but would stick to the recommendations of his transition committee, led by Ahmed Joda. However, the spokesman for Afenifere, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, who spoke to our correspondent in an interview on Wednesday, said the group would speak on the alleged abandonment of the report. He said, “If we don’t deliberately restructure Nigeria as Nigerians, Nigeria on its own will be restructured the way we are going. “If we get to a stage where people (who are) working can no longer be paid; if we continue the way we are going now; I can tell you – mark my words – if we go on like this for six to 12 months, you will begin to hear the news that some governors are fleeing the country. While Odumakin stated that the defects in the country’s federalism had been there before Buhari and Jonathan’s administrations which he described as an old wound, he said a change of government was not enough to correct the system. The Afenifere spokesman asked whether the change of government would change the country from a one- product economy that we have seized to rely on (crude oil). He said while the country had budgeted $17bn for its 2015 fiscal year, it now generated lesser revenue due to the fallen price of crude oil. Odumakin said, “I am talking about the impending crisis we are facing because of the structure we are operating – the monolithic economy. We are losing over N16tn every year because the constitution says that the owners of the resources cannot tap their resources. Go to every place, illegal miners are having a field day. “If we want this country to move forward, we have to restructure. I cannot say at the moment that the President will do it or not, but we have to do it.” Jonathan had, during his handover ceremony on May 28, told Buhari that the confab report was more important than his handover notes. Shortly before he left office, the former President Jonathan had forwarded the report to the National Assembly for action.
