It’s best to contact the naija kiwi association. From experience, when people succeed in getting their visas (any type) they’re not so committed to putting stuff up on here. They just move on.
You can also check the enz forums but the advise on there will be generic.

This thread is too dry, I wish someone can educate us here on life as student in NZ. How to cope with tuition and bills payment. Will earning from the work be enough for subsequent tuition payment and bills...

What is the cost of living like over there? Do you experience any racism?
And, are there significant opportunities for civil engineers?

I'll appreciate your response.

This is not about nations but about the population of the speakers of each language.

I don't know why I feel this is rather late, after all they have always known there are 3 major languages in Nigeria yet they chose to broadcast in only one for decades.....
Better late than never though.

You've quoted parts of the Qur'an to support your argument. I would suggest you read it in more detail to get the theme of each chapter before coming to any conclusions.

Drienzia:
We ain't bothered. Because even Koran stated that "if you find anything confusing here, you can ask those who read the bible. The truth is already revealing that"

Jesus was the only person that performed miracles in the koran. Muhammad was busy leading his followers to various wars, till he died.

The only woman mentioned in the koran is Marian"mary(the mother of jesus)
Koran said she went to heaven with her physical body. Meaning the assumption of the blessed virgin is written in the koran.

You people should come down from your high horses let me educate you about the koran you studied and didn't understand since you were kids.

Lots of Muslims converts to Christianity on daily basis, so cut the crap!!!

Koran said Muhammad is dead. And won't rise again.
Same koran said Jesus is the word of God.
And koran said God created the world through the word(Jesus).
They er just confused being. Surely they need our prayers...

Peace!!!

Travel / Re: Please Help, He Is About To Be Deported From Uae by latolak(m): 12:10am On Jul 18, 2016
I've been in Qatar for over three years now and I can relate to the situation.

This issue is a mathematical one. in 10 months of hard labour(that's what it is) you cannot save up the amount you spent for the visa. You have chosen a battle by reporting your employer. It's wise to follow it through and see what comes up. Do you want to spend more money on a lawyer?I don't think so. On the other hand, you can find a way to beg your employer and feign ignorance of the system.

It sounds hard to take but its best to leave the country because you are unable to seek for a new job for up to a year(if that's what your contract says). If you return and drag the issue with the evil agents, you might be able to get some change to keep you going for a while.

Properties / Re: How Do You Carryout Integrity Test On An Abandon Building by latolak(m): 7:51am On Apr 29, 2016
Practical idea.

I practice in qatar but I assume those NDT tests are not so cheap in Nigeria.

Barselonia:
Okay
....let's go this way
although u need an engineer to visit the site for feasibility sstudy first...

but let me give u my suggestion;

u said u want to increase the warehouse height: from the initial building height now, chain tthe building round (meaning put a beam round )before adding the new block..

tthen secondlly create a new columns at some strategy points, the serve two main purpose
1. to carry new beam u want to introduce on the old wall
2. to carry the steel roof u want to introducee

integrity test in Nigeria..... forget that one...
Properties / Re: How Do You Carryout Integrity Test On An Abandon Building by latolak(m): 7:48am On Apr 29, 2016
Sir, I disagree with your first point.

If the foundation is of concrete, the strength actually likely to increases (unless there is an unusual activity in the soil that corrodes the concrete). Structural steel connections may have to to be rechecked.
Properties / Re: How Do You Carryout Integrity Test On An Abandon Building by latolak(m): 7:40am On Apr 29, 2016
You'll have to refer to the laboratory technicians to give you a range of options available. NDT tests will be the best.

Bear in mind that you can excavate along the face of your foundation to know the size of your footings. You can along expose the concrete cover to see the rebar details.

Based on your deduction of the as built details, you can redesign.

If its a simple frame without a suspended slab (which i think it is), you may have to add a few footings to take more load from the roof.

One question. Are you simply replacing the roof? If you're not going to add any extra loading then there's little to worry about.

The impression created here isn't particularly true. Moors were dark skinned and had wooly hair. Black Africans have thick hair. The (mainly muslim) north africans have this trait. They aren't white nor arabs. They may have mixed with black africans down south but they are not black africans.

It feels good to find out (if its true) we once had the upper hand. But we should be more worried about getting ourselves together and living in peace.

I'm listening to Pastor Bosun on his message about "Islamization of Nigeria". APC was mentioned of supporting ........, before that I read a book by El Rufai "The Accidental Public Servant" in which 90% of corruption cases were carried out by PDP. The masses need to shine their eyes.

That "sermon" was a silly one. He was linking up facts that have no connection. In today's world order, it isn't practical for a people to be islamized or Christianized in the manner which he explains. (prove me wrong if you can).

The interesting fact is, he wouldn't advise you vote APC in Lagos even if they presented a christian for Governor.

Yes,it kind of does. Being close to naked makes a girl an obvious target for sexual assault.
