I bought the Archer C80 router but the speed on my starlink is still not as fast as it should be Someone should please help out PotatoSalad:
Sammy dey use Band 3 channels 149 - 165. You can text starlink to change your 5Ghz channels to any of those above or just buy Starlink Ethernet adapter and get a third party Router. (US) Version o. |

That's what I use. Gives me constant 5ghz on those devices that don't catch starlink router's 5ghz. I get down speed of 350mbps with it in the North of Nigeria. Last price I saw it at was 60k though I bought mine 43k last year. |

No i'm not Ajalalomo:
@hola55 said the transmission fee exemption only applies to first timer. You are not a first timer, that might be the reason you were charged. |

No doubt. I don't believe it is right but we just allow VFS to do all sort of nonsense to us Ashirioluwa:
I believe you. This is Naija, anything goes. |

Samething happened to me Hola55:
My brother go to VFS website you will see all these there,I did my biometric in Lagos 2017, I was asked to pay the transmission fee when I wanted to submit my passport yesterday, all this your argument is no longer working,go and read new rule on passport submission online,it does not affect first timer, but subsequent one you will pay,pls let get right information before advising people. |
Travel / Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Latosky: 9:18am On Dec 07, 2023 |
I was made to pay at Vfs Lagos even though i did my Biometrics at the centre. Ashirioluwa:
Sir, you got it wrong. The package transmission fee you're talking about is not newly introduced, and not everyone will pay the fee.
Applicants who submit their passport or travel documents at the same VFS location where they initially provided biometrics will not pay the package transmission fees. Note that you will be charged the transmission fee if you submit your passport to a different VFS location.
For example, if you provided your biometrics at VFS Lagos and submitted your passport at the Lagos VFS location after visa approval, you won't pay the package transmission fee, but you will be charged if you take it to Abuja or any other VFS location outside Lagos. |

Thanks for the prompt response, God bless you for your kind heart Ashirioluwa:
For in-person passport submission: You need to schedule appointment, and go to your appointment with
- The appointment letter - Passport - Passport request letter - VFS consent form
The transmission fee, if applicable, will be paid during the passport submission at VFS.
Package transmission fees only apply to applicants who submit their passport at a different VFS location from the one where they initially provided their biometrics.
For example, if your biometric was done at VFS Lagos, you won't pay the transmission fee if you submit your passport to VFS Lagos, but you will be charged if you submit the passport to any other application center other than VFS Lagos. |
