How does she prove that? Is the design meant only for her? No one else can wear cloth that look like hers?
So why has Mercy Aigbe kept quiet and locked her account, instead of going public to clarify the issue and save her reputation?

Greenage:
This is not true. It is a cheap way of getting media attention. The fabrics are similar but not the same design. The rose on the bride's gown forms a princess dirt while that of Mercy forms a V neck. It couldn't have been the same dress.
Don't be funny! angry What if the designer altered the dress on Mercy Aigbe's instructions? And how come till now, the designer has not delivered the dress to the bride?

AryaSand:
Why is the designers IG account on private all of a sudden? Why didn't the cloth get to the bride in time?
Thank you, o! shocked That is the same question, I asked too.... May God dash Greenage adequate sense to see the truth, that is inside this whole case!

You are either ignorant of the whole show or you just decided not to have common sense (for attacking those from this side of the world)
A lady sent a material to her tailor to make an after wedding dress for her.
Tailor made the dress, sent a video proof.
Lady makes full payment for the dress.
Tailor default on sending the clothes coming up with flimsy excuses and later stopped picking up her calls.
Tailor on the evening a day to the wedding called the lady and offered to send another dress for lady to use for her wedding because she could no longer find the person she asked to send the clothes.
Lady went online and saw her clothes on mercy.

And you are defending the tailor?
You need to buy 379 naira worth of common sense.

1) Nigerians are intelligent, smart and brilliant. the world knows our worth in all spheres of life.

2) the designer made a costly business mistake. who makes use of a celebrity with an alleged moral/ethical tag on her integrity to sell or push forward his trade? every one is gonna think you (the designer) is as unscrupulous as the celebrity in the eye of the public.
3) the comments here lean towards shaming her and the tailor in question for ruining the most important day in the life of any woman. they are not strictly factual
Thank you!! You said it all!! cheesy

I don't understand what you mean.

I go to a tailor and see a fabric that I love. I negotiate for it and pay. Now you are asking her to apologize for that?
Do you think the greedy tailor told her the true story behind the fabric?

She should only apologize if she was aware that it belongs to someone else and she went ahead to pay a higher price to acquire the clothes. This can only be confirmed by the tailor.
As for tarnishing her brand, so many other useless and irrelevant things have tarnished the brand names of others. But if you go ahead to de-brand someone after hearing from one party, then you should have you head checked.
Why didn't Mercy Aigbe come out online to clear her name, if that was the truth?? How come she has never said anything about how the dress and the fabric it was made from, got into her hands? huh

dominique:
Do you think she would have worn the cloth knowing fully well that it belonged to a bride? Designers showcase their works using celebs all the time, so giving out a dress to a celeb for her birthday is not strange. If anybody should be issuing an apology, it should be the designer
So despite the damaging allegations, why has Mercy Aigbe kept quiet all this while?? Why hasn't she cleared the air about how she got the dress? Does her reputation matter so little to her? If you were in her shoes, and you were innocent of all the allegations, would you keep quiet and let people continue to slander you, or would you state your own side of the story to exonerate yourself?

angry People in this part of the world are damn too dumb and illiterates. The designer actually used the artist as market photo shot or model for his/her design and the artist will be paid for the photo shot. It is done all over the world. The designer reserve the rights to model with his/ her design except you plead/pay extra charges for you cloth not to be used for model.
How can she steal a cloth and the tailor didn't report to the police.
And people's comments here also very dull
Oga you did not follow the genesis of this case from the beginning. sad There was a very different red dress, which a prospective bride had given to her designer to sew for her. She wanted a specific style, made in time for her wedding. She exchanged pictures of the fabric she bought with the designer on Whatsapp, and they agreed on a fee and a date for the delivery of the dress. undecided

On the date when the dress was to be delivered, the designer was no where to be found and her phones were switched off. The bride was frantic and kept making all efforts to contact her. The bride's attention was then drawn to a photo of Mercy Aigbe, uploaded earlier that day, where she was wearing the same dress the bride had bought, and instructed her designer to make for her! Even Mercy Aigbe acknowledged online that the same designer made the dress! The bride called out Mercy Aigbe and the designer online, but both of them have kept mute till today! shocked

If Mercy Aigbe's hands were clean, shouldn't she have even offered a reason as to how the dress got into her custody and how she got to wear it in the photos that appeared online? No, she said nothing. As for the designer, what was her excuse? Her delivery person missed the way to the bride's house and couldn't be located. What nonsense!! angry Evidence of the chats between the designer and the bride, showing pictures of the fabric, were posted online for the world to see. Still, Mercy kept mute. Can you see why no one believes that even this new dress she is wearing belongs to her? Everyone feels she must gotten it by underhand means and schemes, like she got the previous one! cheesy

Educationist in Kwara state, Chief Emmanuel Adesoye is dead.

The late industrialist, 79, was said to have died early Sunday at his Offa, Offa local government area of Kwara state country home.

The deceased it was gathered had been managing an ailment for some time before his eventual death.
Source:- http://thenationonlineng.net/renowned-kwara-industrialist-educationist-adesoye-is-dead/amp/

The Offa community leader who was described as the first quantity surveyor in the old northern Nigeria contributed immensely to the economic development of Kwara state as a pioneer industrialist in the state.

He floated, in Offa, manufacturing industries that produced Okin Biscuit and Okin Foam popularly patronised in the state and beyond before the industries went under.

The industrialist also acquired, from Kwara state government, Kwara Breweries in Ijagbo town near Offa.

The Breweries brewed Noble beer and he repackaged the product to sustain its patronage.
Adesoye was the proprietor of the famous Adesoye College, Offa, a college which is one of the pioneer international secondary schools in Nigeria.

The industrialist who was a former national president of Offa Descendant Union (ODU) was the Asiwaju of Offa town.

He was honoured with the chieftaincy title after the demise of Chief Josiah Sunday Olawoyin, a renowned politician of the first and second republics who held the title until his death.

In his reaction, Kwara state Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed expressed his heartfelt condolences to the Oloffa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, the good and industrious people of Offa and the entire state over the transition of the late industrialist.

In a condolence message by his Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, the governor said the state has lost an industrialist, philanthropist and administrator plenipotentiary in chief Adesoye.

The governor said as a former chairman, expert committee on Machine Tools, Oshogbo (1985), Member, Federal Government Export Promotion Board (1980), Vice-chairman, Kwara state Government think tank on industrialization (1997), chairman and managing director of a number of companies, “late Adesoye had contributed immensely to the industrial development of the state and indeed, Nigeria.”

The governor said as the first Northern Nigerian Student to qualify as a Quantity Surveyor and the second Nigerian to attain that height, Chief Adesoye would be greatly missed for his boldness, intelligence and charisma that endeared him, not only to the people of Offa, but to everyone that crossed his way.

Governor Ahmed prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul and those of others before him.

“May God grant his families and friends the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost”, the governor said.
Chief Emmanuel Olatunji Adesoye (1938 - 2017) Asiwaju of Offa, industrialist, philanthropist and administrator was former Chairman, Expert Committee on Machine Tools, Oshogbo (1985), Member, Federal Government Export Promotion Board (1980), Vice-chairman, Kwara State Government Think Tank on Industrialization (1997),as well as Chairman and Managing Director of a number of companies.

It is unfortunate that liberalism, tolerance and peaceful co-existence are today in retreat in Nigeria so much so that an indigene of Imo State born and raised in Aba, for instance, cannot be employed even as a messenger in the Abia State public service. Governor Theodore Orji has since adopted a scorched earth policy against non-indigenes in Abia State, treating them as “undesirable foreigners”. Yet, anytime this Quixotic and queer governor speaks in public about “the imperative of Igbo unity” some people clap for him! https://iheanyiigboko./tag/ngozi-nwosu/
Okay, o! sad Some of the SE people claiming Lagos as their own land, cannot even claim a nearby SE city as their own, without being reminded that they are foreigners. Maybe that is why they have decided to cross River Niger and several kilometres of roads, in order to claim Lagos. Who knows?? huh
