concupiscent:Wubbish! It is not difficult to steal anything in Nigeria. It doesn't matter if you are technologically savvy or not. Phones, bags, laptops get stolen on a daily basis in many parts of Nigeria, without a trace! The driver was just a scrupulously honest man! He deserves to be applauded and compensated. ![]() |
oyb:Eeyah...everyone can see that you are getting hysterical and emotional over this issue of reported cases of rape. Left to you, every woman who alleges she has been raped must be lying in your own view, not so? Sorry, that isn't always the case.Your long disjointed epistles are not going to change one fact - less than 10% of rape cases that have been reported, are false. The remaining 90% are true and factual. Have you ever bothered to think about the traumatic experiences that such rape victims go through? Have you ever witnessed their tears, pain and agony? Some have even been infected with HIV and STDs as a result if such encounters. So while you are busy sympathizing with those who have been unduly victimised ad a result of false rape reports, you might also spare a thought for victims who have been raped, and are trying to survive such encounters. ![]() Would it help if true-life experiences of such rape victims were also posted in full on this thread, just like you have been posting the accounts of those who were wrongfully accused? Hmmn? ![]() |
oyb:You don't get it do you? Nobody is saying that there aren't women who make false allegations of rape, but according to the stats you posted earlier, these false allegations are less than 10% of the entire rape cases being reported. So should we close our eyes to the remaining 90% of women who are speaking the truth about rape and reporting it, simply because 10% of them have lied? Why not give the same prominence to the 90% of women who have made truthful reports about rape?? |
ArcFresky:Biko, did anybody hold a gun to the man's head to force him to spend money on the girl? Why can't such men tell those girls clearly, "look, I'm spending money on you right now, because I want to sleep with you?" If they do so upfront, there would be no misconceptions.... |
oyb:Oh, you think I am a woman simply because I refuse to support the guy? Assumption is the mother of all fvck ups. Just because a few women have cried 'wolf' when it comes to rape, or have made unsubstantiated allegations against men, does NOT mean all other women who also lodge reports of rape, are lying. ![]() Even the report you quoted, states that less than 10% of reports concerning rape are false, which means the remaining 90% are factual. Right? Isn't this the same quote you made: Of the 136 cases of sexual assault reported over the 10-year period, 8 (5.9%) are coded as false allegations. These results, taken in the context of an examination of previous research, indicate that the prevalence of false allegations is between 2% and 10%.I have female friends who have been through such traumatic experiences. The issue is far more serious than you think. In your world, I guess the in thing is to blame the victims of rape, instead of the perpetrators. ![]() Only pathetic men reach for one night stands, because they have an itch they want to scratch. They should go to brothels, where the terms of such sexual transactions are clearly spelt out and clearly understood by all parties. ![]() |
royalamour:Bello must have been dropped on his head as a baby. Other governors are trying to safeguard the lives of their people and their properties as well as their sources of livelihood, but Bello is doing the opposite. He has given the vultures, known as Fulani herdsmen a license to maim and kill people in his state. |
ArcFresky:So pepper soup, uber and sharwarma gives a man the right to rape a girl?? |
One Yoruba man has just spent 15 million USD developing a golf resort, and he will be spending an additional 1 million USD, to maintain it annually. Wait first, how many of such golf courses exist in the SE?? |
oyb:OK, I get it now. You are one of those men that have this weird sense of entitlement when it comes to single women. You cannot control your basal animalistic urges, so you feel you must take advantage of every girl who spends the night in your house. Eeyah! Continue....obviously the word "No" does not exist in your dictionary. One day your long-throat for sex, will land you in trouble just like it did with the guy in question. |
oyb:Do you have sisters, or daughters? Put them in this girl's shoes. The fact that she stayed overnight in a guy's house, does not give him the license or right to sleep with her. Why didn't he go to a brothel if all he wanted was to get laid? Don't forget that this girl said NO. Was he hard of hearing? What if the girl was HIV infected, or had an STD? Do you know the kind of risk, he ran with his actions?I have brothers and hommies, who had to give shelter to female acquaintances over the years, because such girls were either in dire straits or needed a place to sleep. Yet, nothing happened whatsoever. They ended up respecting those guys, and becoming really good friends. monex:He had sex with the girl, without her consent. ![]() |
makydebbie:I have absolutely no sympathy for this guy! If people are making his life unbearable because of this case, he deserves it. The girl was NOT his girlfriend, fiancee or wife. They had no prior relationship. Just because she visited his house for one night, he decided to take advantage. The girls said she told him NO sex. If she decided to drape her body over his bed after she said that, he should have just avoided her like a hot potato! That act was enough to indicate, that she might be unstable.... ![]() Now, why didn't he just respect himself and leave her in peace? No, he felt he had to tap her ass. My grandpa's friend used to say "No be everything wey person dey see or smell, na im he dey put for mouth." Even if they dashed him the girl for free, shouldn't he have been wary? His greed for...erm... 'sexual intimacy', blinded his eyes and senses. Now that the chickens have come home to roost, he is complaining. Let thunder fire his blokkos for dia! Was it Cyprian Ekwensi who said: "In the good old days when men were men, and women were won by those who deserved them," this kind of thing wouldn't have happened. In those days on campus, I lost count of guys who gave shelter to babes overnight, and absolutely nothing of an amorous nature took place between them. They would even cook breakfast for such babes, and drop them off the following day at their destination, with no strings attached. Some of those girls ended up becoming like sisters to such guys, or reliable female friends who had your back, no matter what. These days such things don't happen anymore....because the boys or men of today, think with their divcks and not their heads! ![]() |

https://www.thecircumference.com.ng/assets/img/circumference-logo.png Most entrepreneurs have had to face the challenges of struggling to rent, build or own an office space, in order to launch their businesses. In a city like Lagos, such spaces are often quite expensive and the rents eat deep into the pockets of small start-up businesses. Today, co-working spaces is making it easier for several small and medium scale businesses, to set up and run their operations, effectively at an affordable cost. Electricity, security and internet services are often part of the packages offered by co-working spaces, to entrepreneurs and start-ups. These days, most incubation hubs in Nigeria, also offer co-working spaces as part of their plans. Technology innovations have helped small, medium and big companies to improve their operations, and work from almost anywhere. https://i2.wp.com/techpoint.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/The-circumference-Surulere.jpg?resize=896%2C598&ssl=1 https://xbeta.buffrspace.com/img/uploads/The%20Circumference-1357e900cf419f21474887887.jpg One of the notable co-working spaces in Lagos is The Circumference, located in the Surulere area of Lagos, which was established by Fehintola Akin-Oluwole, in May 2016. The facility currently hosts a sizeable number of entrepreneurs. It is said that the founder Akin-Oluwole got the idea to set up the space, when she was on leave two years ago and was looking for a conducive place to work on the Lagos mainland. After searching for a while with no luck, she resolved to set up one. The facility provides flexibility of work and play, a space for like-minded individuals to interact, exchange ideas, network and generally strike the right balance. https://businesstrumpet.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/The-circumference-serviced-office-spaces.png They offer office spaces and allied services which help entrepreneurs to manage business overheads, while saving time and keeping a professional image. In addition to virtual offices, they have serviced workstations and offices that are almost fully set up, and ready to use. Also included in their packages, are front-desk and general facility management services. https://www.thecircumference.com.ng/assets/img/workstations-showing-acs.jpg |

And the latest one is Cranium One, a space that is outfitted with glass-covered private offices, a “hot desk” that is intended to seat about ten roving co-workers, and fixed desks with inbuilt storage for the more permanent types, who want flexibility without the accoutrements or costs of a private office. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GwJMvqH3QTs/maxresdefault.jpg Cranium One is the creation of a quiet but familiar face on Nigeria’s internet business scene, Olaotan Towry-Coker, who is also the founder of Afritickets and Zandalu. https://techcabal.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Cranium-One-81.jpg https://techcabal.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Cranium-One-9.jpg https://content.instantoffices.com/Prod/images/centres/original/25122/25122-165180.jpg https://guardian.ng/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Cranium-One.jpg |

Smokin Hills Golf Resort is located at Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State. If you're a visitor looking for a place to tee-off the day's stress, or a golf enthusiast searching for an international standard golf course, take a trip to Smokin Hills Golf Resort. It blends the modernity of a golf course, with the tranquility of an ancient town. The greenery at this resort is particularly breathtaking in the morning, against the back drop of smoke that wafts in the air, just after dawn. The multimillion naira golf course has been carefully carved out of 140 acres of surrounding jungle and rolling hills, which emit smoke early in the morning, the phenomenon from which the resort drives its name. It was built by Chief Michael Ade Ojo of Elizade Group in 2012. https://therealgist.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Screen-Shot-2015-08-16-at-3.08.51-PM.png "Certainly this is the most ambitious golf facility in Nigeria and West Africa, in modern times. Smoking Hills is a golfers' delight - every hole requires deft play and the course is a physical challenge. I salute Chief Ade-Ojo whose personal resources gave birth to this wonderful course. It's still evolving but in another 3 years will certainly be one of the must-play courses in Africa. kolaaderin:Use Google to search now. The only thing you would see is the fake photo of the man in agbada with his wife, which people have said is not Festus Fadeyi, but a totally different stranger. If you decide to conduct a search and you find the original picture of Festus Fadeyi, please post the URL here, so we can all check and verify. |
