Can you show me where I said waking up early should be left to only one person? You will live better if you read with more understanding before commenting. In my own home, my parents taught us, both male and female, to wake up early. A mature woman sleeping till 7am when she will resume at work by 8am is an irresponsible woman with poor upbringing.

Honestly, when I look at the situation here and compare it to a few cities I have lived in, take for a example the dessert city of Ajman, I see an attitudinal issue here. We know the govt here doesn't care because they have misplaced priorities. I wonder why most doctors can not buy a cheap Chinese defribilator that cost less than $900?

A greater percent of death in Nigeria are as a result of mis-diagnosis by doctors. For them every illness is typhoid and malaria fever. A recent case was a patient in Jos who died last two weeks due to TB. But for most of the time his doctor has been treating pneumonia. The issue came to ahead when he lost consciousness and was rushed to catholic hospital. Quite an avoidable death.

We really should not wait for the health ministry or govt to help us run the structure of health facilities. There are head doctors at each of these facilities. They can put up a structure that makes emergency care a critical pillar of health care by having a doctor on standby and also give these doctors enough time to attend to their private practice since they are not regularly paid by the govt.

Is manpower an issue? Do we have enough doctors and nurses? Don't you think the policy of making access to education so stringent is leading to lack of adequate man power. Doctors and nurses are leaving the country, why don't we let in more students into the course to compensate?

Finally, I see the age-old Nigeria problem: mismanagement. No matter how low govt funding, the brains in these institutions can come up with the best strategy to make best use of the paucity. Many poor countries like Cuba still manage to run a good health care system.

How did Cuba revamp it's health sector despite lack of funding?

Having lived in this country long enough, I am beginning to realize it might not be funding after all. Some deaths at these University hospitals are quite avoidable if the staff intervened early; a quick surgery here, resuscitation there etc.. These do not need state-of-art medical equipment.

I really want you to reflect on this. It may not be funding after all.

1.We were not told what disease the friend was suffering from....that needed a consultant, or how long it took said friend to get to the hospital from onset of illness.

2.Teaching hospitals in Nigeria are busy.

3.Healthcare funding in Nigeria is low because we are not willing to pay for it. Govt refuses to fund healthcare adequately, and people want 'free health care' which between them deprive hospitals of funding.

4.I know doctors in this country can be awful....but sometimes, people just bash medics without getting the full facts.

Bed shortage is a worldwide phenomenon.

No hospital can cater for everyone at all times.

We need more hospitals and better funding.

Should Nigeria adopt the NHS standard of the UK we would be better for it though Nigerians would still complain.

Every worker should contribute a portion of his monthly salary even 2.5% to a trust which manages the government hospitals and then we'll see some improvement.

Otherwise it would continue to be Medicare to the highest bidder.

A heartbroken Nigerian lady took to Twitter to narrate the incident that led to her friend’s death, even after he was taken to LUTH (Lagos State University Teaching Hospital).

According to her, her friend died because there was no bed space, and when a bed space was found, there was no
consultant at LUTH at the time he was admitted.

Scene 1: Location: Avni’s residence
Avni goes berserk, and says that she knows very well that Raj can't ditch her, and he loves her very much, and that she has full faith in Raj and their love. She starts screaming for Raj, expecting him to spring up anytime. All are distraught, seeing her behaviour. Avni starts telling everyone to come along, and get Raj to come, as he loves her. She is unable to digest the reality that Raj has deserted her, and says that she doesn't want a surprise, and asks him to come. Finally she collapses on the ground, saying that she doesn't want all this, and just wants a simple marriage. Bhawvna meanwhile is distraught to see her daughter like this. Suket and everyone else in the family is shattered to see Avni in such pain.

Bhawvna falls unconscious on the floor, shocking everyone. They all tensely attend to her, and find that her hands have gone numb.

Sawvri pulls Avni out of her grief, and asks her to come inside as her mother needs her. Avni walks in a daze with Sawvri. Later, that evening, Avni asks the doctor if Bhawvna would be alright, because she fell unconscious suddenly. Suket asks her to compose herself, assuring that Bhawvna shall be alright and that she shouldn't worry. Avni is inconsolably crying. The family waits tensed for the doctor to come down. The doctor shocks them by saying that Bhawna had a minor heart attack, due to some stress, but that she doesn't need to be in the hospital and needs some rest.

Suket is angry with Raj and his family, reprimanding them for their hypocritical standards, saying they made the institution of marriage a game, and that they are selfish people, who just want and fend for themselves. He says they spoiled everyone’s life. Suket is angry that they went through all the rituals, and then cancelled the marriage at the last minute, and starts pointing out how vain Raj’s love was, as he was the one who made the first move.

All are distraught and tensed. Avni starts walking out, amidst heavy rains, to her bridal stand, remembering Suket’s words, and how Raj had professed his love for her. She thinks she would have to talk and sort things out with him. She turns around, makes a mad dash outside, and starts walking barefoot on the road, to confront Raj for what he did to her and her family.

Scene 2: Location: Raj’s residence
Finally, after blistered feet and much pain, she reaches Raj’s house, and is shocked to find him casually watching TV, and drinking cold drinks. She wonders why Raj is behaving as if he doesn't know anything. Raj casts an eye at her, and then turns again to the TV. She is shell shocked, and tries hesitatingly to ask him why he didn't come for their marriage. She asks him to get ready for the marriage. Raj asks her why she came here, as as far as he knows, his family came there and told what needed to be told. She says that they did come and pull out a prank on them, and tells about her mother’s plight.

Raj asks her to wake up, and realise that he isn't loving her, neither is he marrying her. She is shocked and asks what happened to him. He says that finally he found his senses, and realised that he can't spend his life with her, as she doesnt suit him. Avni is distraught, and refuses to believe this, as he went through so much to get their love. Avni is shocked when Raj tells her that he was a fool to think that he could spend his life with her, as she is nothing but a naive, stupid immature, irritating girl, who loves in her bubble of a dreamworld, and that she doesn't really know what the world has.

Avni starts hitting him, asking how can he say that. Raj jerks her hand away. She immediately apologises saying that she would change for him, and that he can't do this to her. He doesn't listen to anything and leaves. As he begins to leave, Suket walks in with Akshay. Raj’s family too comes out, to stand by him. They both confront each other, while Avni is embarrassed. Suket asks Raj to answer his questions first, before he leaves. Raj says that he said whatever he had to with Avni, and won't repeat them again. Vikram stands mute, while Suket says how can he stand silently, while Raj is doing this. Vikram says that he has given his children the freedom to decide for themselves.

A heated argument ensues. Vikram and Suket get into a verbal confrontation. Avni’s patience snaps and she asks them to stop all this. Avni asks Raj to swear on her head that he doesn't love her at all, and that their love has ended. But finally says that he doesn't love her, keeping his hand on her head. Akshay and others are angered, as Raj refuses to get married to her, saying that he doesn't want to have any relations with her. Avni is shocked. He asks her to leave now and asks her family too, and not bother them with endless questions, as his decision is final. Avni almost collapses due to shock, while Raj expresses disgust. Avni’s family takes her out.

Scene 3: Location: Avni’s residence
Avni and her family arrives back home. Avni gets out in a daze, and starts walking towards her bridal stand, collapsing and screaming for Raj’s name. The screen freezes on her crying face.

The ritual begins, while Virat exclaims that Bhawvna seems tensed. Suket says that Anjali and Vikram too feel tensed. But Virat wards it off. Arpita asks Suket and Bhawvna to wash off Vikram and Anjali’s feet. Suket performs the ritual, and then asks Bhawvna to do it too. Bhawvna begins to do so, but Anjali says that she can't do this with Bhawna. Virat is pleased while all are tensed.

Virat asks Anjali to get it done as it's a ritual. But Arpita and Avni say that since Suket has already done his own part, she doesn't need to go through it all over again. Next, gifts are exchanged and Avni receives them. She is about to offer them to the temple, when Virat stops Avni saying that the bride would have to drink the water in which her in laws wiped their feet.

All are shocked and Avni is tense, while Suket asks if this is actually required. Virat says that it is the ritual in their village. Vikram and Anjali are surprised, but stay quiet. Virat asks Bhawvna how important it is, and asks for the decision. Bhawvna is tensed, but Virat smiles. Suket stops them and says that since they didn't believe in the rituals much, and they did all rituals in their own style, he doesn't want this particular ritual to be done, and asks them to respect it. Anjali agrees. Virat asks them to leave, as its getting late. They all leave, while Suket thanks them yet again. Bhawna is tensed, as Virat smiles at her.

Outside, Bhawvna calls out to Anjali and confronts her, saying that she knows her very well, and that Vikram and Anjali are very good people, and she knows that maybe she won't be forgiven for the past, but since they love Raj, they aren't calling off the marriage, and so she is assured that they won't do anything wrong to Avni. Anjali taunts that Avni is her daughter, this itself is a curse, she doesn't want Avni to bear more. They leave. Virat comes to her amusingly and says that he wants this marriage to be done, so that his purpose is complete too, and once Avni comes to their house after marriage, she would have no one to turn to, and would fall in his trap.

Bhawvna warns him not to do anything with her daughter, and assures that Anjali and Vikram won't let him do anything wrong to Avni. Virat says that it would happen when anyone would believe Avni, and that since Avni is her daughter, and when the time for a decision comes, they would all remember her mother’s past, and think that 'like mother, like daughter,' she too has a habit of lying, and they would instantly believe Virat.

He says that Avni is going to a place where she would be hated due to her mother's past, and then she would have just one life support, her own uncle, i.e Virat. He adds that then he would have his chance. He leaves, while Bhawvna is tensed, as she eyes the marriage preparations. she says that she knows what needs to be done, and decides to talk to Raj, as only he can take her out of the situation, as Raj loves Avni very much and can protect her.

The next morning, festivities and celebrations are on in full swing, while the marriage preps keep happening. Arpita and Avni’s friends meanwhile, are getting Avni ready. They all compliment Avni, who asks if Raj would like it and is assured. Akshay is under the impression that Bhawvna is helping Avni get ready. Avni starts ranting like a blushing bride, and Arpita wishes the both of them all the happiness in the world. The arrival of Raj's family, excite her friends and they all leave, while Avni is tensed and nervous.

All wait outside for the groom's family to come, while Bhawvna is tensed. The youngsters are dancing and enjoying in full swing. When Sawvri asks about Bhawvna’s tension, she waves it off. Avni calls her friend Devika to come up straightaway. She complies.

As Devika helps Avni walk down the stairs, she is shocked, but Avni keeps walking with lowered eyes. When she finally looks up and casts a glance she is tensed and surprised too. She finds her family and Raj’s family in a confrontational mode. She gets worried. She finds Anjali and Vikram leaving, along with Madhuri and her husband. Avni tries to stop them, but they leave without saying a word.

Akshay and Suket start apologising to the guests and the priest, and all leave. Avni goes to everyone but they don't respond. Avni asks where’s Raj, and distraughtly asks Suket what's wrong, as she saw everyone from his family, but not Raj. Suket stands speechless, while Avni is terribly worried. Suket finally says that Raj didn't come. Avni asks what happened to Raj and when he doesn't answer, she goes to Bhawvna and asks what happened to Raj and that she wants to meet him right away.

She starts shouting at them asking to be taken to Raj. When they don't comply, she starts running out herself. All stand shocked, when Suket says that Raj didn't come as he doesn't want this marriage to happen. Avni is shocked. As Bhawvna awaits Anjali’s arrival with her offering plate, Anjali opens the plate in front of Bhawvna, who is shocked to find an old newspaper dated long back, containing the horror tale of Umatgaon, showing her picture, too. Anjali tells Bhawvna that now she also knows her true face and reality, referring to her as Sangeeta.

Bhawvna is shocked, as Anjali holds up the newspaper to her. She says that now she knows that she is the lady who spoiled Vikram's life, and can now put jigsaw pieces together. She says that Bhawvna ruined Vikram and scarred him forever. She says that Bhawvna was more than a friend to her, but now that she knows her true identity and what she did, she hates Bhawvna and is disgusted by the fact.

Bhawvna says that she doesn't know what's her fault, but she is willing to take to blame and accusations, but asks them not to let this affect Avni. Anjali proclaims that she would never let her son Raj, get married to Avni, and that she doesn't ever want to see her face ever again. She begins to leave, while Bhawvna tries to beg her to understand, but Anjali says that friendship is long forgotten, and asks her not to even dare to call her a friend. Bhawna gets on her feet, while Anjali walks past. Bhawvna is distraught as she keeps crying. Virat eyes her from a distance evilly, thinking that she is only left with tears and that this is just a beginning, and this is just the installment of the price that she would have to pay for the slap.

Scene 2: Location: Banquet Hall.
Raj and Arpita get inside the hall, wondering what is Avni up to and what's she doing. He enters in a dark room, and is boggled as a flashlight falls on him, with a heart shaped cake kept on the table. Avni springs up on him, saying that she knew Raj was up to something, to propose her, but she wanted to say something first. Raj is surprised.

Avni says that she has never seen a guy like him, and praises him to be wonderful and amazing, and that her heart demands her to propose to him. Avni gets down on her knees, and proposes to Raj in film style, with a bouquet of roses, asking him if he would marry her, confessing her love to him. He too bends down and complies, caressing her and then they both get up, while Raj is teary eyed and emotional. They hug each other.

People start clapping around them and the lights come on, embarrassing Raj and Avni.. They begin to go, but are pressured into a kiss. Avni is shy and embarassed and tries to walk past, but Raj holds her hand. She gets nervous and turns around to face Raj shyly, as he eyes her romantically. She closes her eyes, and puckers her lips, waiting in anticipation and nervousness. Raj leans in close to her, but then walks past, to the mirror behind her, and kisses her reflection instead. Avni is overwhelmed and Raj says that they should reserve the actual kiss for after marriage. Avni blurts out that she can't wait any longer and then gets flustered. Raj says that after marriage, he would make her first kiss very special. They both hug, while Arpita smiles.

Scene 2: Location: Avni’s residence
While Suket is taking care of the arrangements, Bhawvna walks in tensed and then joins her family, remembering Anjali’s barbed comments. Avni offers to help Arpita for laying out the dining table, she is asked not to, as she would be very special tonight, as it's her last day here. Bhawvna sees this and is tensed, as she is scared about Anjali’s reaction and how Avni is being pampered by her family members, this being her last day here.

Bhawvna breaks into tears. Avni finds her crying, and then composes her, asking the brothers to take care of Bhawvna after she leaves, and fulfill all of her wishes. Suket asks her not to worry as they would take full care of her, as she is prime priority. Avni gets emotional too, while Grandfather asks Avni to remember all of Bhawvna’s advice and upbringing, as they would make her successful in life. Avni too tells Bhawvna that she learnt everything from her, and wants to fulfill all relation with honesty, just like her. Bhawvna is appalled, as Avni places her as her idol. She begins to hug Bhawvna, but she scurries to her room. Grandfather thinks that she got emotional, foreseeing the pain that would be due to her separation tomorrow. all get emotional. The brothers try to cheer her up successfully.

Scene 3: Location: Raj’s residence
Anjali confronts Vikram why didn't she get to know from him, about Sangeeta’s true colours. Vikram says that he didn't want her to be tensed, and even if they knew, what could they have done. Anjali says that Bhawvna is guilty too, for having done what she did in Umatgaon, and for having ruined her husband’s life. Virat comes in to overhear them. Vikram says that he hates her the most, but he can't let that affect his son’s happiness, as Raj loves Avni very much. Virat comes in saying that this is true, but they would have to accept Avni, who is Sangeeta’s daughter.

Virat asks Anjali and Vikram, what's the matter, if Bhawvna is the murderer Sangeeta, of the Purohit Family, and that Vikram cringes everytime he looks at Sangeeta. But for the sake for Raj, they would have to go through this trouble. Raj comes in asking what trouble are they talking about. All stand tensed. Virat says that they are talking about his marriage. Raj gets baffled and asks them what's the problem they are talking about.

Virat says that he has the maximum problem with his marriage and gives it a joking angle, while Vikram and Anjali are relieved. Raj says that he feels differently, as he is very happy that he is getting to marry the love of his life, and that he is in seventh heaven right now, and also advises Virat to get married too. He leaves, while Virat, Anjali and Bhawvna are tensed.

Scene 4: Location: Avni’s residence
The next morning, Bhawvna prays to the Lord, to protect Avni’s love from Virat’s evil eyes.

Avni comes in and asks her not to be sad as she would still be living in the same city, after her marriage. She blesses her to be happy always. Avni says that she is the most important to her, as she knows that her blessing is so powerful that nothing wrong can happen to her. While Bhawvna and Avni are talking, Virat walks in, saying that Avni is absolutely right. Virat greets Avni and then asks Bhawvna if she can call Suket. Bhawvna is tensed and asks why.

Avni asks her to relax, as she is super tensed for the marriage. Virat says that she should be, as anything can happen anytime. Bhawna watches him irritatedly. Avni asks how come he came here unannounced at this time. Virat says that they had to come for a ritual, that had to be done. He also announces the arrival of Anjali and Vikram, who walk in stoically, shocking Bhawvna at this new turn of events. Virat thinks that this is just the beginning, and that Avni’s marriage would scar her so bad, that Umatgaon’s fatal night shall fade in her memory. Bhawna tensedly gets in the car, and when the driver asks where would she go, and then deduces from the call to virat, that there were temple bells, and thinks that he must have taken her to Regal palace hotel, and asks the driver to take her there. Bhawna asks for Virat’s number from Raj, and then dials Virat.

Scene 2: Location: Regal Palace Hotel
Virat gets Bhawvna’s call, and then telling Avni that its urgent, he leads her in the room, and talks to Bhawvna in the hallway. Bhawvna asks where has he taken her daughter. He says that they have come for some fun. Bhawvna asks him not to do anything. Virat puts her call on hold, and asks her to hear all the fun. Virat asks Avni how does she feel right now.

Avni starts praising him, and Bhawvna continues to get tensed. Virat gets juice and deliberately pretends to accidentally spill it on Avni, and his clothes. Bhawna keeps getting tensed, as she hears Avni and Virat talking about how their clothes got spoilt. Virat says that he would manage something.

Bhawna is extremely tensed. She reaches the hotel. She prays to the lord to help her find Avni. Finding that the receptionist is taking a long time to track them, Bhawna runs around in a mad dash in the hotel corridor, and then finds a room slightly ajar, and Virat taking out hard drinks from the mini bar in the room, in a bathrobe. She comes inside, and is about to speak, when she is stunned to see Avni’s dress lying on the sofa. She is dazed and left speechless. Virat gives her a leering smile, and yawning, making her think the worst and the unimaginably heinous crime. She is shattered. She slaps him and begins to reprimand him for being such a brat.

Just then, Anjali comes in asking whats she doing. Bhawvna is shocked to find Anjali and Madhuri there too. Virat says that they came here for booking the honeymoon suite for Avni and Raj and wanted to know if Avni liked it. Anjali keeps demanding an answer, and Virat too instigates Anjali that he didn't do anything, but Bhawvna got the wrong idea. Virat then says that maybe she thought bad for him, and hence apologises. Anjali asks Bhawna how can she even think that Virat can do something like this.

Virat asks Anjali to calm down and tries to be the bigger person, forgiving her. Madhuri takes anjali outside. Virat again gives Bhawvna an evil smile, while she is super tensed and irritated. Virat tells her that she had slapped a long time back, and still has the same effect. Just then, Avni comes in and starts praising Virat for his choice. Virat keeps a hand on Avni’s shoulder and Bhawvna instantly jerks it away, taking her outside in a rush. After they leave, Virat decides to take his revenge from Bhawna for this insult. He smiles.

Scene 3: Location: Raj’s and Avni’s residence
Virat continues to calm, down Anjali, who’s super angry while Vikram is tensed as to what happened, and asks Anjali about it. Anjali asks how dare Bhawvna slap Virat. Virat asks her to forget all this, but Anjali is furious, and says that even if he had been at fault, she didn't have the right to slap him. She storms out in anger. Virat asks Vikram to calm her down, also adding that he doesn't know why Bhawvna hit him. Vikram decides to teach Bhawvna a lesson and storms out. Virat smiles evilly.

Raj meanwhile asks Arpita, as to how would he propose to Avni. Arpita says that he can't propose as they can't interact with each other. Raj says that he would do so indirectly, and that he has a plan, and asks her for her help to get Avni out tomorrow. Arpita complies.

Later, in the night, Bhawvna walks tensed in the garden. Vikram arrives in the car and then confronts her about slapping Virat. She tries to tell him that Virat isn't what he seems. Vikram accuses her of doing this. Bhawvna tells him that Virat is a scumbag and is betraying them all. But Vikram refuses to accept anything, and says that he won't listen to anything against Virat.

Vikram says that if this marriage is happening, it's only due to Virat, and for making things better in his life after that tragic night, Virat is responsible. She turns around and says that if he doesn't believe her and her words, then why did he come there? Vikram tells her that she would have to apologise to Anjali and Virat. She says that she would apologise to Anjali, but never to Virat. She begins to go inside. Vikram threatens to expose everything, if she doesn't relent. She stands speechless.

He begins to go inside, but she begs him not to. vikram then gives her the phone, and dials Virat’s number. She apologises to both Virat and Anjali, for having slapped Virat. She cries, while he warns her not to do something like this ever again. He leaves, while she resignedly sits on the stairs. She wonders what trouble beckons tomorrow.

As Arpita takes Avni outside, Raj gives a call, and Arpita says that she is outside and would talk later. Arpita springs up on them, from behind Avni. Raj tries to talk to Avni, but Avni tells arpita to tell him that she can't talk to him. He tries to explain to her the futility of the rituals, and tries to make her feel guilty, that he is being ignored due to some stupid ritual. Avni closes her eyes, and isn't bothered.

Avni is shocked later, to get a facebook status from Raj that he is enjoying his bachelor party, with lots of girls. Arpita is amused, while Avni is furious. They find that Raj’s car is actually placed where he has been claiming. She decides to go and teach him a lesson, but stops midway. Arpita asks what happened. Avni says that she doesn't want to fight with him, and asks if only he is nervous and she isn't. She leaves in a huff. Raj comes to Arpita and asks where Avni is, and is told that she left in a rush. Just then, Raj too gets a same message, about Avni enjoying her bachelorette party with lots of guys. Arpita asks what should they do now. Raj takes her outside.

The next morning, Anjali is still tensed about the whole incident, while Madhrui takes over the preparations. Virat comes asking Anjali if she has any problem. Anjali expresses that Bhavna is so simple, then why did she behave so rashly yesterday? Virat asks her to forget as after all she apologised, when Vikram went to talk to Bhawvna, and asks her to forget it all. Anjali asks when did Vikram go? Virat apologises for having let his tongue get away. Anjali says that something is going on between him, Vikram and Bhawvna, and makes him swear to tell her the truth.
