deji2009: Sorry, I had to quote you to post my message. I applied for a spouse visa with 1 dependent child of 11 months old whom was asked to pay £0 at the time of application and was given IHS ref number which was submitted. UKVI emailed me to pay IHS fee. Any experience? Looks like they’re be granted their visa. Both priority visa deferred until I pay and contact them as instructed to further the application. Just like my son and I as well. My two year old’s IHS was £0 at the initial stage. On 14 WD they sent an email with a link to pay for him which my husband paid. We are on 53WD Standard. I just pray it doesn’t take forever seeing that other people have been waiting for a while. |

Extremebeau: Hello beautiful people.so i arrived the UK safely into the waiting arms of my hubby today using Ethiopian airways, my new favourite airline now..impeccable service and excellent customer service. Got to the border and the lady just kept asking me series of questions about my immigration history asking about my schooling time in d UK and when i left the UK as though all the information wasnt on my passport.she detained me for a while to check the information i gave her and said if all checks out she ll update her system with my visa new status. Suprisingly she asked for my TB certificate.explained to her why it wasnt with me and she asked for the photocopy which i gave her. Immediately i got to Birmingham i went straight to d postoffice and picked up my BRB before going home cos i have 2days left on my entry clearance. On getting home with the husband they had delivered our documents.they returned everything we sent including the photocopies Hi dear, Wow. That’s serious oh. Now this is scary, I thought they would not ask for the TB certificate oh! I didn’t make a photocopy. Plus was ethopian airline a direct flight? Still waiting in line for my good news |

stargirl1628: I came to know about this forum today as vfs Ikeja. I'm done wt biometric n probably will post d supporting documents 2moro. I have an issue wt my IHS; after completing d form online, I was exempted(kind of weird) and an email wt ref no sent to my mail. On getting to vfs today, I met a lady who's also submitting for spouse visa n she told me that she paid. I'm really worried and I need to know what to do before I post my supporting docs to Sheffield to avoid any negative issues. Pls advice me on what to do Hi, This same thing happened to my 2 year old son. Cos we both applied together. But thankfully last friday they emailed me to pay cos we did our biometrics June 26. and I paid immediately. I was surprised why they would exempt my son from paying IHS. Although i was happy My advice is either u wait for them to email you and u follow the link or contact them as soon as possible. |

We applied on priority. To be honest I think priority is daylight robbery, extra 50% charge and you’re not actually guaranteed anything as UKVI can’t be held to account for the timeframe.
Here’s our timeline.
Applied: 5th May Biometrics: 21st May App prepared email: 1st June Escalated @ 30 BD: 3rd July Emailed MP for assistance: 6th July Email saying app is in last stages: 10th July Email saying they’re too busy for a decision: 13th July MP emailed to say UKVI informed them we had been successful: 18th July Decision: 18th July Passport picked: 18th July
41 working days from bio to passport collection. I have been waiting to hear from you!! Congratulations!! I key into this. |

Priorygroup: Hi everyone
Please I need some information if anyone can help. I and my son was refuse settlement visa in Feb 2018, for stupid reasons. We appealed in March 2018 , I received an email 3 weeks ago from Home Office Sheffield saying that they have decided to overturn the initial refuse, they want to grant my visa but I need to withdrawal my appeal. The tribunal contacted me and requested for letter of consent for the withdrawal, which I gave. Last week I received another email from Home Office stating that the decision to refuse your visa application has been overturned and our office is now ready to issue you a UK visa, that we need pay Immgration Health Surcharge with a link , after making the payment we should take our passport along with a copy of the email sent to me by Home Office to the visa application centre where we initially made our application. Question 1- Are we just going to walk in ? Question 2- Is it possible for someone to Submit our passport on our behalf? Question 3- Do we need to do another TBS test when travelling by God's grace, since the previous one is more than 6 months? Question 4- Are we going to pay any fee for this process again at application centre? I will really appreciate your suggestion or response. Thanks and God bless. If i may ask why were you guys refused? Question 2- I don’t think it is possible for your passports to be submitted on your behalf because your biometrics would be taken again. Question 3- If the TB test duration has not expired you can still use it. Let my ogas at the top answer further. Lol |

Extremebeau: My timeline ... Standard application from abuja Nigeria Online application; 23rd march Biometrics: 4th april Docs sent: 14th April Docs received at sheffield: 16th april Hubby called to find out update on d 4th July and they said decision has been made d previous week and we should wait 10 working days. Decision made email and passport ready for collection email: 10 July
Collected passport with visa: 11th july Total: 69 working days from bio and 60 working days from date docs were received (excluding bank hols) Vignette valid from 27th june to 27th july.they backdated mine so i have a shorter time to leave Nigeria.
Some little pointers: I studied in d UK for my Msc and MBA qualifications.During my MBA, just as I finished and received my results i applied for a graduate entrepreneurship visa and in that time i had issues with the sch concerning this which made them revoke their sponsorship. As soon as this happened i left the UK immediately so as not to overstay. I applied in oct 2016 for visit visa to go for my MBA graduation and was refused because of the revoking of my sponsorship. hubby stated all this in his letter of sponsorship. Got married oct 2017 and we just had to present a very tight application in order not to b refused.. We made small errors though but God was on our side.. for example. Hubby's letter of employment wasnt on an office letter head..HR wrote it on a pdf doc and just signed it there was no stamp. We also didnt use any utility bill no council tax no nothing because hubby just moved into d apartment just before d application however we did submit tenancy agreement and letter from landlord and also property inspection report even though it is an apartment and he is staying alone. There were also small differences in his monthly salary for d 6mnth period but d amnt on d statement for each mnth was exactly d same on the payslip.
I pray that those still waiting receive their goodnews soon. ..Amen. just do your part and rely on God.he ll do it for you... Congratulations. I am so happy for you, Amennn for those of Us waiting in line for an outcome. |

I tracked my documents so i know they received it since last week Wednesday. Is it possible to stay throughout the application process and not receive an emai from ukvi until decision has been made? Deola101: Here I stand, another graduate of this noble institution! I can't say thank you enough to everyone who has contributed vital information on this forum. The information is pricelessly invaluable!
I got my passport back today, with the visa!! 67 working days in total. I'm so elated and relieved. Here's my timeline;
*Online application - 31st March 18 (Non-Priority, Settlement - wife) *Biometrics - 3 April 18 *Transferred to UKVI mail - 3 April 18 *Docs received at Sheffield - 16 April 18 *Being prepared for consideration mail - 23 April 18 *Application not straightforward - 1 July 18 (getting this after 62 working days sent me into panic mode!!) *Decision made email from TLS - 5 July 18 (Day 66) *Passport collected with visa - 6 July 18 (Day 67)
The last 3 months have been the longest, marked with obsessive mail/TLS status checking and counting working days. Lol. My advice, if you can, by all means, please do Priority. The wait is harrowing. Praise to God that its over and it turned out positive. I pray everyone waiting receives their good news soon too. Congratulations, If i may ask why did they say application not straightforward? Did they call or mail? |

Minnienellie24: Hi @Killingmesoftly I would only be able to answer the question i bolded. To the best of my knowledge, I don't think working with an agency matters in as much as you are earning £18600 and above and you have all documents to prove this (employer letter, contract, pay slips and bank statement). When my husband applied last year, I was working with an agency and his application came through.. Hi all, Am I to be worried? My husband has sent our applications to the UKVI office not received any email saying it has been received. |

oxygyne: Yes, you should DHL every single supporting document including the signed application form and applicant's introduction letter to the Sponsor for onward transmittal to Home Office. (Scanning might work but since you are sending other documents such as TB and Test certificates to her, why not send the original copies to prevent unnecessary hiccup)
Remember to use a checklist to confirm all your submissions, see sample below. All the best. Thanks for the check list everything is in order for me. |

No. You or your sponsor have to send it to their office in the Uk with your supporting documents. You are just going to do your biometrics and they collect your passports. I just did mine on Tuesday. Praying for good news. |
