tolushi:Lien or Loan means the vehicle was financed. That means the owner got a loan to pay for the vehicle. So it would be in the record that the vehicle was financed. There's nothing to worry about because the person has to fully pay for the vehicle before they could get the title which is what really shows the true owner. According to "experts", average Americans drive 15,000 miles a year. Carfax averaged the mileage of this vehicle to be 24,820 per year. That's a decent amount of mileage for someone to rack just driving in the city. So because highway driving does not entail all the turning and braking and stuff like that, it puts way lesser stress on a vehicle. Lastly, the vehicle odometer should show it's current mileage. If the odometer cluster was changed or tampered with then it might show something different. You could check for the value of the vehicle on www.kbb.com or www.nada.com. I know you are in Naija but atleast this would give you a feel of what the vehicle is worth and with that you could decide if you want it or not. However if I was to make the decision based on the fact that it mostly has highway mileage and that it had a good price and the vehicle in general itself is okay, then I most likely would buy it. The best part is this vehicle only has one owner which means there's a great chance the person took good care of it. Also let me point out that the difference between leasing and buying is that when you lease, you get the vehicle financed just like when you want to buy but you may decide not to buy the vehicle (meaning you don't have the commitement to buy). So as long as you are making the payments on the vehicle, you could still continue to drive it. So most leasing company tend to keep track of the maintenance of leased vehicle because they want it to still be in the best condition it could be when they get it back.
