Oppo on the beat! Haven't seen anyone using the phone but I definitely saw shots taken with the Reno2 by housemates during their time in the big brother house. The pics were high quality and crystal clear especially since most of the shots were taken at night. If you can afford it, please go for it. China is making waves on its policy to combat air pollution in the country caused by intensive urbanization and industrialization. China is known for its tall buildings scattered in major cities and also a lot of international hi-tech companies, working hard to beat its competitors from within and outside Asia. Due to this there’s serious air pollution emitted by these companies everyday. Over one million people die in China every year from air pollution. The atmosphere in China is filled with smog, that most times, while standing on the street level, it is nearly impossible to see to the top of the many skyscrapers scattered all over. Because of this, Chinese government has decided to borrow the concept of the vertical forest built in Milan to tackle air pollution while restoring greenery to the built environment. The world’s first “Forest City,” created to fight pollution, is now under construction in Liuzhou, Guangxi Province, China. Designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti, a team that develops green projects all around the world. Its construction of this forest city will help arrest air pollution within the city hereby leaving people with fresh air to breath, increase noise breakers, create home for habitats and improve local biodiversity in the region. Liuzhou Forest City will be built in the north of Liuzhou, in the mountain area of Guangxi, in the southern part of China; in an area that covers 175 hectares along the Liujiang river. Liuzhou Forest City will contain up to 70 buildings scattered with trees and green vegetation from ground to roof (with solar panels over the roofs). It is expected to house over 30,000 residents while hosting over 1 million plants of over 100 species, and 40,000 trees that together absorb almost 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 57 tons of pollutants, and produce approximately 900 tons oxygen annually. The nigger did most of the action and was in full display too. But then she's a naked Nigerian lady who was caught on cam having sex. So the internet has to troll her. Issokay... Different people have their reasons for tolerating their partners no matter what. Sometimes it's sickening, other times I admire it cos I feel they can keep a relationship and make it work. But if it's not worth it, let it go. Seriously, the worst thing that can happen to you is to lose yourself in a relationship. It is horrible. Know your worth and let go of that partner that takes you for granted. In the spirit of vertigenous constructions, I bring to you Xuan Kong Si also known as the hanging monastery in ancient day China. Xuan kong can be described as a forgotten wonder of the world. It was built in 491 AD, over 1500 years ago and still stands firm till today. It was constructed by only one man, Liao Ran, who was a monk in the Wei Dynasty, in the year 386-584 AD. Liao Ran singlehandedly started building this temple until he received help from Taoist builders who were drawn to the site due to its peaceful and serene atmosphere. Today, it has become one of the main tourist attractions in Datong. The temple was built into a cliff 75-metre (246 ft) above the ground near Mount Heng in Hunyuan County , Datong City, Shanxi Province, China. The closest city is Datong, 64.23-kilometre (39.91 mi) to the northwest. According to claims, the vertical pillars that you see in the pictures were not there when Liao Ran finished building the monastery. They were added during the centuries that followed, mostly because many people were too scared to climb up to the monastery, thinking that it might fall without them. But before the addition of these pillars, the temple was able to stand on its own without the support from these pillars. This temple is very popular as it’s dedicated to three religions at once; Buddhism, Taoism and confucianism_the three main religions practiced in China. It contains 40 halls separated by hall ways and bridges. In the San Jiao Hall, for instance, the statue of the Sakyamuni Buddha is enshrined together with that of Lao Zi and Confucius. These are the founders of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism respectively. There’s a short story behind this fusion of three religions though. It has been claimed that the Hanging Monastery once served as a sort of ‘transit station’ for travellers who passed through the area, due to the remote nature of the Hengshan area. It was at this place that weary traveller could get a meal and some rest before setting out again. Due to the prevalence of religion at the time, it is said that people were reluctant to enter the places of worship of religions other than their own. To ease these travellers’ anxiety, the three major religions of China were enshrined in the Hanging Monastery. In this way, more travellers could stay at the monastery for a while before resuming their journey. The 105-foot-long Hanging Temple consists of 40 halls, two pavilions (South Pavilion and North Pavilion), and a bridge connecting the pavilions. There are about 80 sculptures made of copper, iron, terracotta, and stone. The biggest hall, as well as the tallest sculpture, can be found in the South Pavilion, while the statues of Sakyamuni, Confucius, and Lao-tzu, are placed in the North Pavilion. In order to provide support for the monastery, holes were first drilled into the side of the cliff. Wooden pillars were then half inserted into the rock as the foundation. The monastery was then built on top of these pillars, with additional support from the rock at the back of the building. Why build a temple like this off a cliff? The cliff protects the temple from flood. The mountain peak protects it from sunshine, rain, snow and wind. Also in this end the cliff acts as a noise breaker, keeping the noise away. At this point, the noise drops. This follows a principle in Taoism-no noises, including those from rooster crowing and dog baying. Sometimes in 2018 it was closed temporarily, but has been reopened again to receive visitors from all over the world. This temple is one of the top places to visit in China. Humans never cease to run out of ideas of ways of solving problems that bother them. The quest to solve problems brings about improvements and new versions of what already is. I guess this quest brings about advancement in development and technology. The gate tower located in Osaka Japan is one of those problem solved cases. An office complex with a high road piercing through right in the middle. It wasn’t until a made my findings that I knew what led to this amazing engineering feat. The land was occupied by charcoal and wood companies in the early meiji period. These companies ran out of business as human beings moved from charcoal to other sources of fuel. When the area got approved for development, a high way was planned to be constructed there. Usually the government would buy out the land from the owners, but in this case the owner refused to sell. This was commenced with a five year period of negotiations that settled for something. They would use their land to construct the office building they want to construct, and rent floors 5-7 to the government to build their road. So hanshin expressway cooperation became the tenants of these floors and that was how what you see today came about. Today the road runs through the building through three floors. The road is wrapped in noise protection walls that keep noise away from the building. The floors adjacent to the high way contains only elevators, stairways and machinery. Inside the building, the elevator does not include buttons for floor 5, 6 and 7. The numbering goes from 1-4, then 8-16. The building has 16 floors above the ground with two underground floors. It is an office complex belonging to Suezawa Sangyo Co. Ltd. Its height is 71.9m above the ground, was designed by Azusa Sekkei and Yamamoto-Nishihara Kenchiku Sekkei Jimushō and completed in 1992.
