I just feel it is unprofessional and insulting to make people waste their time applying for the job, while sticking with the person on the job. I hope it never repeats itself.

We need a coach who has not been corrupted by the Nigerian system!

A coach who won't fold under pressure.
Definitely not someone who is afraid of losing ordinary friendly matches by playing just 13 players out of 25. Incredible!

Completely agree
Hopefully he has learnt his lessons

Well said, summary of Super Eagles Coaching Drama, as culled from Nigerian Sports Journalists.

1) NFF waiting until May to announce new coach to avoid paying April salary
https://twitter.com/FisayoDairo/status/1783790269961306319

2) Coach will be an indigenous coach (because of funding issues), but sadly won't be Emmanuel Amuneke.
https://twitter.com/OgaNlaMedia/status/1784825148027118046

3) George Finidi and Daniel Amokachi likely to be amongst assistants
https://owngoalnigeria.com/2024/04/29/breaking-nff-board-reject-choice-of-amuneke-as-super-eagles-coach-picks-another-nigerian/

4) Thus Coach most likely to be Ndubuisi Egbo (Ex Super Eagles fringe Goalkeeper, currently coaching in Kosovo, or Michael Nsien (Ex U23 player, currently US U19 boys Head Coach)
https://punchng.com/amuneke-finidi-egbo-nsien-lead-race-for-eagles-job/

Point 1 is kinda smart

Lets go then..

There was a time many years ago when the AC in my room was on 24/7 whether I was home or not. The tarrif increase before this one was when I stopped. I live in an area with stable electricity and electricity was very cheap.

I also remember when I was a child that my dad always left the AC in his office on.

So to that point the minister has a point that subsidizing electricity had inculcated bad habits in us as a people. The example he gave about freezer was a bad one. 1 because a lot of freezers don’t actually consume much power and 2 AC is the real power guzzler. When I lived abroad then no born me to leave ordinary light bulb on if I am not in the room talk less leave the house heater on when I am out. Same with petrol…the way I drove abroad with expensive petrol was different from In Nigeria with cheap petrol.

Subsidies do indeed create bad habits.

I completely agree with you..
I currently use a Solar System that can gives me 100W of energy for 10hrs if fully charged
This has made me somewhat energy efficient..
I turn off bulbs not in use, same with fans and other appliances..

I got the Solar System when the Electricity situation was very bad this year...
When it improved a bit, my new habits of energy efficiency kicked in..
Any appliances not in use are turned off
This has also saved me money because the last time I bought units on my meter was in February and I only bought 5k

If we all become a little bit more proactive with saving energy, we will cut off a lot of unnecessary costs..

Goal conversion 22% No that's very poor I must say. Meaning he throws away78% of his chances?

Yes it's poor because most of the time he's running too much
This definitely affects his strike and conversion rate
If the team can keep possession more and he doesn't have to run as much, his conversion rate will improve..

If you watch the clip Chriskels posted, all the balls he got, he had to do some running to get away from the defender, many times to a difficult angle..
So his shots were either parried by the keeper or went out of play..

A good Coach would work on that

That Inter Milan team is something..
3 players in the Top 8 Scorers List means they are doing a lot of things right..
Kudos to the coach and players
Let's hope they turn up in the UCL next season..

My good brother. What is staring us in the face is sabotage. We can either agree or continue playing the ostrich as usual. History is about repeating itself. If NFF could afford a foreign coach, we for don get coach since. Sports ministry wants to have a say on who to be appointed since na dem go foot d bill. NFf no gree. That's the merry go round. Las las world cup will be sabotaged. Then at the end a foreign coach will be appointed.

Hmmm...
Fingers crossed

Good that he took the penalty

Yes o
Let's hope he can deliver 4 more goals before season ends
I think he works too much in that team
Too much running which ends up affecting his conversion rate
A team that keeps possession would help him more.. Think Spalletti last season
If he stays, maybe Conte can fix that..

Like I have said. History has shown that issues like this always occur whenever they want to appoint a local coach. Don't be surprised that the match will be pushed to Abuja or Kano and kick off time will be 2pm. The country no dey shock me again. A country where a president voted against his country. A country that took players that came in during winter to Hot Kano sun for a crucial WCQ. The same country did same for AFCON qualifier. Country that took it's U20 players to water logged and potopoto pitch to play a crucial qualifier match. A country that told it's coach that he needs outright win whereas a draw is enough. All because they want the man in the dug out to fail. Nothing dey shock me again. The in coming coach has been set up to fail. He needs nothing but a miracle.

Bros be calming down na abeg
grin grin grin
The good thing is, we have players now who atleast are fighters, regardless of who the coach turns out to be
We would still need a miracle to qualify, no doubt

He also reports that they have selected a local coach and will make an official statement this week..

This our Coach situation na.. " the more you look, the less you see.."

When I don't join you in this FANATICAL over hype it's called hate. VO did all this and scored one penalty your whole epistle of praise simply doesn't add up.

I noticed Tega has just come back from an ACL injury after nearly a whole season out with injury. Comes on as a substitute and scores. That's not easy 😞 coming from such a series injury.

Trust me mate, you don't want to go on this road with me..

My goodness!
What a player!!

Everything you want in a number 9..

Speed, strength, agility
Strong hold up play
Excellent movement and use of space..
Brought others into the game
Took his penalty excellently
Forced the opposition defense into making mistakes

If his teammates were a little more prolific, he would have had like 2 assists...
The header to set up Anguissa was too sweet abeg..
The cross to Kvara was top class as well..

Osimhen too good abeg!

Part of me wants him to stay one more season in Napoli with Conte
Part of me wants him to move to the PL

Question:
Should Victor Osimhen stay and work with him, or should he leave if the opportunity arises?
