I say it again, no team in Africa has Nigeria's players quality.
We have won the APOTY 2 times in 3 years. AFCON Silver and Bronze medallists in the last 2 editions.
Qualifiers is never a measure of a good team. Tunisia, Algeria, DRC, Ghana were at the World Cup but were no where to be found at AFCON.
Someone that uses qualifiers as a measure of a good team does not deserve my valuable time!

Rafael Onyedika starts for Frankfurt. Eric Chelle needs to find a way to integrate Rafael Onyedika. Nigeria is not France, England, or Spain, where we have elite talented players playing at the highest level. For a country like Nigeria, I still find it difficult to accept discarding a player who is one of the few we have that are constantly starting games in the top 5 leagues in the world. Bundesliga is a very technical and effective league. I believe Frankfurth finished 7th last season. All the players I see people mentioning here to replace Onyedika will not even make the Frankfurt match-day squad. Rafeal Onyedika is a good player; Eric Chelle needs to find a way to make him effective in the SE. This dude was a beast in Belgium; he is now a mainstay in Frankfurt. Logic should tell people that he is not a bad player. A country like Nigeria simply does not have that luxury to be discarding a player like this for a random nobody.

In the national team, we won't really see Onyedika's best until we pair him with a midfield partner with a profile close to Stankovic who partnered him at Club Brugge..

The Fisayo/ Onyedika partnership worked against Mozambique at the AFCON as well, but we all know Mozambique is not a strong side..

Our midfield really need strong and younger players with a lot of energy to burn to compliment the experienced ones.

Unless the players are top level midfielders, once he starts getting old,the coach supposed to know he should stop depending on them for all matches.

Chelle should take a serious note that his XI team midfield is old.

If you compare his midfield to our last 2 AFCON wining midfield, he needs to think twice.

I thought Chelle solved the midfield crises plaguing this team for years..

I will rather play start onyeka who is more mobile and hv the engine to run up and down the pitch harassing and chasing down the opponent when they re with the ball than start onyedika

I wonder sometimes what make you guys think onyedika is mobile and creative enough to be moved upward the pitch. He is slow and at best a side ways passer of the ball

Currently the best player for that role beside Iwobi in midfield if we re to go with this formation is Alhassan because he is mobile, can score and creative as well

In defence I will play Fernandez who is calm and very good on the ball as the CB, Rapid and no nonsense Nwaiwu as the RCB and Bassey as the LCB

Based on current form not past exploits Fredrick shouldn’t be starting for now

If we bring them in and they deliver, they will get moves to better clubs..

It's a mentality matter...they view tournament as different just like how players treat leagues differently from cup games...in tournies,losses are punished immediately so the zeal to win is high but vice versa for qualifiers.

We need mentality monsters and supremacists in super eagles,apart from technicality,skill, goalscoring and great form...we need people who will hear the name guinea Bissau and decide that anything less than 6 nil victory is a loss, people that can't fathom the idea of losing to big teams or small teams just because in their heads they are the best in the world, people underlook this and that's why there's no single player in super eagles in the last five-15 years with that mentality...the comeback spirit and allat
