You are comparing apples 🍎🍏 to oranges 🍊🍊

Haaland can miss like everybody else but 18 goals in 22 games SHUTS everybody totally UP. For Norway 29 games and 27 goals. He misses but he always scores.

Never disappoints

Thanks for the factual reminder/ correction VO is now in his fourth season and he had his first break out season of excellence or the if you like world class performance winning the golden boot last season 2022/23

By saying he had achieved that milestone in three seasons I am actually giving more credence to his ability. But you are right it's 4 seasons.

Thank you
In the end, we aren't here to fight
We are United by our love for football and hopefully the super eagles
All other factors being equal, we can agree to disagree
It doesn't mean anything..
We move

Philosophy is king. That is why Barcelona employed Guardiola with zero experience in top level coaching and he desdestroyed most top coaches.

Philosophy over history.

But you didn't add that Guardiola was doing wonders with the B Team before he was given a chance
Oya let's see if Amuneke will ever get a look in

As for me, philosophy and scouting is king. Over long work experience. If you don't have the philosophy, you can't impact it.

Let us select our coach based on that. That is why we keep skipping the best for the job.

Amunike remains my pick.

An employer of labour would always go for a strong CV
Amuneke has a rather weak CV
With his strong philosophy and scouting abilities, he should be doing something somewhere, with results that can enhance his CV and employability..

I don't see him being called anytime soon, not because he is not good, but for the reason stated above

I have said it numerous times here, that we played our best football under Equaveon.

I said we could have easily walked over 2021 AFCON if Iwobi was not red carded against Tunisia though we were a goal down.

Equaveon was the most unlucky Nigerian coach in recent history.

He drew Ghana home and away without a single midfilder completing 180 minutes! In fact he had no single DM/AM in the 2nd half at Abuja. (All injured)!
(No Iwobi, Ndidi, Onyeka first half in Abuja, Bonke-first half Accra).

Equa and Finidi should be given time no matter what happens! Time and support!

Welcome back Nwakali!

God bless Nigeria!

Completely agree πŸ™ŒπŸ™Œ
We move!

This matter no hard!
But he will sit down and be waiting for phone call from NFF
I don't ever see him becoming SE coach unless something supernatural happens

I believe the most important aspect of football are the players then followed by tactics. Without top talented players, you will not win much regardless of your tactics. Spain dominated because of the talent at their disposal and when those set became old they suffered terrible defeats despite the same tactics, coach and administration. Pep is successful because of the constant supply of talents beyond every other team in the league.
There is a reason why top players are sold for crazy amounts.

The most important job of the football federation is to find a way to scout the best players in the country.

Completely agree

A substantive coach will be announced soon.

Cerezo will act as interim coach before a final decision is reached.

Personally I prefer Michael Emanalo to be the Technical Director of NFF.

Hopefully Amuneke becomes coach soonest.

On what grounds pls?
Kindly note I'm not trying to start a fight, I just want to know why you think he should be coach
What are you basing that thought on?

As many people may not like to admit, the game changer in Peseiro’s SE was Nwabali.
If you have a shaky keeper, you get an unstable defense.

Completely agree
Nwabali's inclusion was a masterstroke
And I commend Jpes's boldness to start him, after leading us all to believe Uzoho was his No1

He will be assisted by Finidi George, who has stayed the longest with Peseiro among all indigenous coaches appointed to work with the Portuguese by the Amaju Pinnick led board for 22 months.

We are too slow.
We should have gone for Tom saintfelt immediately after the afcon. We were busy trying to get him to stay.
What of the Angolan coach

Going for Saintfelt immediately after the AFCON would have sent a wrong message, especially with JPes's performance

We could have done a quiet pre-agreement though, then waited for JPes to quit and finally brought him in

Immediately after the AFCON would have been too harsh on JPes and the players..

Bayern did same with Nagelsmann, now they in trouble
I know those are two different situations, I'm just putting it out there

Don't know why we are perturbed about JPES contract not being renewed.
I have said it long before now that a new indigenous coach will be appointed for the Super Eagles.

It's definitely not Samson Siasia as his ban still extends till August. It won't be Austin Eguaveon or Salisu Yusuf either.

Tom Samfiet is with the Philippines.

It will be between the duo of Emmanuel Amuneke or Finidi George.

It's also possible that both of them will be employed as coaches but for now,we don't know who will be the Head Coach.

Pitso is also a strong contender as he has a lot of admirers in the glass house.

Anything can happen though.

I often wonder why Amunike's name is mentioned anytime there's a vacancy for the SE coaching seat
As much as I love his philosophy and scouting ability, this guy has been out of job for months!

Why doesn't he get something doing, instead of waiting for the SE call that might never come?

Everytime he keeps being overlooked and him still dey there dey wait..
Is that blind faith or outright foolishness?

Finidi abeg for me
Let Amunike go get something doing, build some momentum and then apply later

Goodbye JPes..
You fought well..
One thing is sure, he enhanced his CV during the AFCON
A 2nd placed finish will definitely attract offers
All the best JPes
You fought valiantly
Not easy working with the NFF who have a reputation for owing salaries and creating difficult working conditions..

All the best in your future endeavors
Weldone JPes
Go make some money!

As much as we would love you to stay for stability sake, and for some lessons you learned that you might potentially apply, we understand that you deserve better, especially remunerations and better working conditions

Gives a nostalgic feeling
Adios JPes!

I have someone like him at my work place ,,, he has been sacked in many organizations due to that attitude, though he got talent so that’s working for him but in a short period, he’ll become an irritant that for the first time one will wish his fellow man evil or death …

This nuisance man at my work place castigated the eagles πŸ¦… sothe, he’ll be mocking we eagles supporters. He’ll come before every match and say today you guys go cry 😭,,, When we got to finals you won’t believe this man posted eagles and was saying β€œ he believes in them from day one β€œ jubilating all over his media space … My colleagues had to call me to ask if this man his mentally stable ? 🀣🀣

When we lost the final , he came back again and said you see I told you’ll to thread carefully,, that can we see they disappointed as usual ! We had to report him to the director and we dragged him so much that he hated himself. Imagine a 43 yrs old man πŸ‘΄
