Writing jamb and post ume are all part of d screening exercise. Am sure those without issue won't complain. Scraping jamb and allowing individuals apply to institutions ll thus promote corruption and malpractices.
We all see d malpractice involved even after making d said pume cut-off mark just to get ur course of choice is still a who know man affair. To some extent jamb exam helps to reduce d pressure on d institution.
My advise is who ever is preparing for exams should sit up and serious with preparations and d outcome ll definitely b positive.
Most of us hv siblings preparing for jamb but if we r sincere we can say dat only few truly devout their time for study. Hence, making it difficult to pass d exams.
Those that can afford schooling abroad should do so. I

Moreso, do you know how much some people have spent in this jamb alone?, not to talk of appt test?...which country in the world running tertiary education does that?, that you have to write jamb, write postume?...this is why most parents send their children to study abroad,,,



Talking about congestion, do you have an idea of how many higher institution we have in one state in nigeria, tosyn, i know ekiti have up to five...this issue is undebatable my brother...you talk like say you never see worst things as a student...abegi, make them scrap am

I called my Dr about my swollen feet. He said It was due to d drip I ws given during delivery. However I feel good now as d swollen is gone. I drank lots of water so I could urinate more frequently. Plz mamas who hav done CS how long does it take for full recovery/ healing. Although am taking tab vit c 1000mg d effervescent type to facilitate healing.

My doctor also did advised me when I was 37weeks due to d weight of my baby. So booked for an induction at 40weeks. So I had made up my mind for anything as long as baby and I were ok. Although baby came before EDD.
Let's always form a relationship with our doctors or whoever is managing us to make d journey much easier.

JUST AN ADVISE FROM ME
It is important we LEARN FROM INCIDENTS i.e. what has happened to others so that we don't have a repeat of such cases here.
Especially first time mums! Please learn to trust your doctor. It has a way of making delivery easy for you. Besides, you have never had a baby so when certain options are open to you, ask question and ensure to do whatever will save your life and that of your baby! Let me share my story, I had an uneventful pregnancy; no sickness whatsoever. When I got to 37 weeks, my doctor explained alot to me and asked me if I would like him to help me if I get to 39 weeks and labor does not come on its own. My dear, I had an open mind and I told him do anything that will make me and baby safe and sound. To cut the story short, I was prebooked for induction. I got to 39wks, no labor so I carried myself to the hospital and in 24hrs, I had my baby in my arms ! I really don't know what labor pains were cos i opted for pain relieve (epidural), labor progressed speedily cos I was stressed and all. The lesson here is this: The longer you stay, the more tension starts to build. Also, remember that the nutrients in your system is also diminishing and as such you baby starts getting distressed. I made up my mind for a CS should anything go wrong. it doesn't matter what means the baby came out thru, what we are interested in is MOTHER ALIVE AND BABY ALIVE ! In my opinion, there is no need to stay longer than 40wks! My friend did and baby was distressed, pooed inside, had to stay in intensive care after birth and all that ! The baby still has respiratory issues now! I tried to talk to her then, she said all her sisters don't give birth till after 40wks bla bla bla. please FIRST TIME MUMS ! From 37wks, your baby is ready to be born! Trust your healthcare providers, they have seen you thru the prgenancy and understands your history better! Imagine someone with a placenta previa, saying she wants to wait till 40wks and attempt a VB that the "placenta has moved"...hmmmmm! Her doctor asked to bring out the baby at 38wks via CS, she ran away from the hospital !!!! FIRST TIME MUMS!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! YOU HAVE NOT GIVEN BIRTH BEFORE! ALWAYS HEED TO THE ADVISE OF YOUR DOCTOR.

This second pregnancy, I will gladly go that route again ! 39wks and no labor, bring out the baby !

Other preggy mum plz take ur routine drugs ooo. Get d one ur body is compatible with and can afford. Don't say because others r taking pregnant care u should when d simple folic acid, bcomplex, fesolate and vit c can do d work effectively. Don't under estimate d importance of folic acid

Scheduled for elective cs in few days time due to so many issues so far in pregnancy. Had a previous 2nd term loss, did cerlage, gestational diabetes,on and off admission,preterm contraction. What to expect people really frightened,can't take mind ofit

Just relax ur mind. I had an emergency cs and ws glad it ws done. At day 2 I ws walking around and cleaning myself. Day3 my plaster ws removed and I started taking my bath and ws discharged d next day with my LO.
All u need to do Is pray to have Godsent medical and non medical teams during d procedure.

My birth story.. Stay tuned cos its a long miraculous story

15th feb:
I woke up feeling tired after d hot night and got dressed for work. DH was skeptical my going to d office dat morning but I explained to him I needed to move around rather than sleeping and feeling lonely at home. My colleagues and patients were all laffing @ me dat I still haven't dropped, I just kept smiling n ignored their comments.
At abt 2pm, I left office. And stopped to pick some items at d market. All of a sudden I started feeling wet on my trouser.
fear catch me nor be lie( I tot something was wrong with bladder). FTM things. The elderly women selling for noticed because I wsnt responding to her again. I just told her I wasn't feeling ok so she quickly attended to me and advised me to go home.
I called my consultant immediately to inform him of my situation, then went home to freshen up, complete packing d remaining things in my bag and waited for DH to come. All these while I still did not feel contractions or pains. So I was just praying.
When DH came he insisted we go to d hospital immediately.
I was just smiling and laffing @ DH because u could see d panic over him as if he was d one in labor.
We arrived at d hosp at abt 4.30pm, went to labor ward, so my DH told them I was in labor. D doctor duty just looked at me and laff dat I wasn't in labor with d way I just sat down was calm. So I told him I wasn't in pains but I had broken my water. That was when he stood up immediately with d nurses to attend to me. Becos d doctors are on strike he had to call my consultant to confirm if he shuld attend to me.
I was examined, few minutes later my doctor came in and also crossed examined me after wch I was taken to d delivery room.
At abt 8pm d doctor on duty checked me again, at dis point still no sign of labour nor contractions. So we started gisting till almost mid night.
So I was given. Tab mistoprostol. Intravag. Yet no contraction. At abt 4am an oral dose was administered still not significant difference. So d doctor on duty had to call my doctor at abt 6am to update him.
While myself was fully awake and chatting with d nurses.
They were all asking if I wsnt feeling any contractions. I just told them to continue rubbing my stomach n write down wat ever they observe cos I dnt even know wat they were talking abt.
16th feb:
At 6.30, my doctor came and did VE, chai dat was dame painful. After d VE I ws told I ws barely 2cm. And d nurses told him contractions were 6 in 10min. So he had to set an infusion and said he ws going to start induction. To see if there ll b an improvement. Dat ws hw oxytocin was
Injected into d infusion, he started with high dose yet I was looking at them no pains. At abt 10am he came back, did another VE, still no improvement.
That was when he told me were going to d theatre dat since my water was broken there is no way he would take any risk cos of my baby.
I just prayed to God and told him let his will be done. I called DH to inform him, I accepted and encouraged me to be strong.
I was then prepared. And taken to theatre.
On the 16th Feb at 12:50pm my handsome ebony prince was delivered weighing 3.7kg.
My supposed EDD is 26th.
To God be the glory. Mother n LO in good health no complications.
Proudly team feb# supernatural delivery to all due mother. We shall all carry our LO in good health.

Yawning from d long unread pages I just finished reading.
We just got discharged yesterday so have been trying to settle down.
I really missed u ladies. Congrats to all my wondafu team feb mothers who have put to bed. All glory be to God for safe delivery. Mother and bay alive. And safe delivery to d remaining mothers.

My honorable class captain Maureensylvia , I hail u o. Don't give up of porting o. Feb hasn't ended yet. I agree we didn't give d house valentino baby but nah how God want am nah.

When one reads some comments here it then become obvious that most of our youths lack wisdom and its still going to take years for us produce a youthful president in this country
. So just because fayose decided to spoke up he has suddenly turn into a wailer as described by some here. When our so called elected reps could not talk, some sleeping while session is on.

Such constructive criticism is what the president needs now so he can perform better rather than the ' all correct sir' and fake people following him because of what they ll benefit. What We need now is more of the likes of Fayoses'.
At this juncture we should realise that silent to wrong and evil over the years has caused more harm than good to Nigeria.

Mamas, pls what effect does not taking preventive treatment for malaria In preg have on d baby?

You get low birth weight baby, jaundice, and even ur baby may come down with malaria. Imagine pricking d baby's tender skin to look for vein to give drip.
Please kindly treàt urself to avert unnecessary issues.

Ensure there Is light to store it properly. Do not store on the door of the fridge and in freezer as it will denature d drug.

I finally bought the Rhogam injection today, as a mum indicated earlier that the price increases per dollar rate...I bought mine for 31800...I wanted to leave it dia as dey said cos dey advised that it should be kept refrigerated till d day of delivery but dh insisted he will go home with it cos nobody knows d time Labour will come, whether at midnight...although its in my fridge now but am scared whether it will spoil or not...pls I need advice on this
