Hello Guys,

Good to be back cool

Honestly I thought this tread was dead until a fellow Shell Hopeful told me about it, I was successful the SRD and still waiting to be called.

I was told by friends that the process can be this long so am just concentrating on my present Job and focusing on improving my skills and all that,

for everyone waiting to be called, I know Jah has a plan for Us, our time will soon come,

One Love!

This is Lagos

Surrounded with water just like the earth
You lie close to the Atlantic plate
With streams criss-crossing your girdle
What a beauty to behold from the birds
Moving in and out in seasonal rhythm
Even when the heaven weep Lagos never sleep

Around here we see no limits
However the scuffle, the struggle remains on
The spirit of the town is sturdy
Sterile like a well groomed stallion
The thought of the island gives me ripples
The city where I tasted my first apples

In this street foxes are smarter
Hunters roam the corners treacherously
However taut the sheriffs keep vigil
The daylight owes gets there feeding
Here lie a people in endless chase
Every one dreams of a big catch

Huts here are tall and bold
Towering from north to south
This town is not for the dawdling
For me survival here is a calling
The homeward expedition is beaded
Evidence is sprawling illumination of machines
Still the foxes come along to feed
How I wish I have my Dane here

For all a care am in love with the aquatic
Nothing refreshes like salt on my feet
Decades from now the town will swell
Hell knows nothing about the fury of Lagos
Nomads will dump the heard just to see the sea
Now I know why I am arrested by it
The spirit of Las-gidi dwells within

Ode to Mama….

From the very first day I saw your face
I knew there no way I could escape your love
Even though it came with the rod
The thought of those days give me joy
Now I knew why you had to scream
Maybe I could have become a tout
Groping in the dark high on stout

Now I know why papa was happy in those pictures
He got the right partner for the job
You clean, cook, cain, care, clap and even slap
Nevertheless you deliver with a smile
Often times I think you are too mysterious
How come you get much with just a little?
Like the biblical Mustard seed
Mama you move mountains

Your true color shows when am down
Even the doctors marvel at your skills
Your touch make my drugs work
At night you keep vigil while I snore
Just maybe I might need help you’ll say
Fanning me when the heat hit you most
For this my love for you will forever glow

Mama ill still tour the world with you
Show you the places we dreamt about
A day at Taj Mahal or a week in Barbados
Just say the word and you are there!
The thoughts of your tears make me week
I want to paste a smile on your face forever
If I could ask for one wish from papa
It will be to marry you all over again
You are a Mega Mum!

Rumble on the Plateau

Once again we dagger wave
Slashing away the conscience of peace
Sending order to the lions cave
The crest and cross failed to cease
Even with the sheriffs in town

Once again the hell let loose
Filling the wells with flesh of men
Wondering what manner of clash is this
With the walls of tribe lies the revulsion
How drenched have we in our blood

The town crier shouts in pain
Not for the burden of the message
Deep in is back an arrow is fastened
Now his message will be for the gods
All in the name of the saints they kill

This is but absolute madness
Clubbing my neighbor of yesteryears
His son my daughter’s amore
His wife my pastors mistress
How else can we tame this viper?

Now that the dust is settling
Isn’t it time to call the village meeting?
Isn’t it time to make the dancers settle?
Oh we mourn, cry and wail
Only to wake up with our machetes
What a waste!

The Wait

Yesterday I took the long dreaded leap
I saw the white beautiful masquerade suck my blood
With a mischief in her eyes she draws a pint
Searching through my face as if for a clue
Little did I know that I was in for a spin

The day was long and weary
The night was filled with thoughts like a philosopher
Suddenly I realized this could mean an end
The beginning of the end with a date
But could this be true I asked my pillow
Alas it was too late to use latex

Today the wait will be over by noon
When again the masquerade will have its chance
Gbam! Gbam!! My heart beats like the Konga
In my hands I hold the verdict
Oh I hope the jury considered my innocence
How I wish I knew the Judge
Maybe I might walk home free

Suddenly my knowledge of words and letters failed
As I scrolled down the scroll of death
and the air in my car cold like Moscow
I noticed I was socked in furious sweat
N-E-G-A-T-I-V-E I murmured to myself
Suddenly I felt like I was alive again
Finally the Wait is over!

Hello Guys just discovered that this is a medium to have my work read and consrtuctively critizied, my compilation of called "Miles of the Mind"

Sit back and enjoy my Poetry,  cool

The Gong is gone!

With a heartbeat of a horse I slept
Hoping the eagle will nest in peace
The day was long and hard
From the chief no news was heard
Far in the desert his wounds they heal

Slow and steady I trudged to site again
To start the hard labour while punching my keys
Alas the pop-up was huge
DD-Direct has been shot!
Oh! What a pain to add to my discomfort
I live in a land with blood as a thirst

Again the ‘askaris’ are all over the scene
Sniffing the scent of the murderers long gone
Now, Dipo is added to the list
The roll call of felled soldiers in the war of nationhood
Please tell me this is a rumor
The pain makes little of a tumor

Why kill to serve the poor?
I don’t think we are worth that much
This is the question I ask my ceiling
But for years it has ignored me with white impunity
In fact why will I live in this community?
Sango –Ota where death comes damn cheap
The Gong is indeed gone!

                   Tribute to otunba Dipo Dina!

Foreign AffairsRe: Mugabe Cracks Down On Nigerians by lee007(m): 3:51pm On Feb 19, 2010
Old Carmel of Zimbabwe

This old beast of African Union
Still chewing hey from the ages
With long weak limbs and wrinkles
His pride still hard like pebbles
How far will he take these crackles?

The master fox still kills
Casting his brethren into cages
His hunt dogs bite without remorse
The sight of blood his spirit arouses
The fire of the huts he never quenches

This old cargo of Zimbabwe
After feeding fat from their milk
Suddenly feel the need to be a farmer
Even the plough knew ill fail
An animal farm the whites fled from

Mugabe still feels he is loved
Praised by those who sniff from power
One day the drunk will be doped in filth
Now that a millions can’t buy a loaf
The world to him has gone so mad

Please Sir don’t think of it
That wazobia should leave the land
The white is nice but black is wise
Eyes closed your Excellency and say this prayer
Gbam! You dumb old Carmel grin

For Heaven Sake you RCCG haters should just go find work to do, who told you thats all RCCG is going to Do, for what its worth, that is still the single largest response from Nigeria, even the Fedral government hasent done jack!

By the way,the $50,000 donation was even donated by RCCG Church in America.

It was announced in church on sunday for us to donate to this people and I did, I am so happy the church provides Me an oppurtunity to affect peoples lives positively,  by the Time the donations and pledges are sent to Haiti by RCCG worldwide u might hear the figures,

RCCG is not a money making Machine you guys should just be careful of what you say so that you dont get eaten by BEASTS!!!!

PoliticsRe: SW Governors Declare 3 Day Fasting For Yaradua by lee007(m): 12:47pm On Dec 10, 2009
This is ridiculous, as an Ekiti man i feel soo insulted and ashamed that the so called Traditional rulers who don't remove thier earthly crowns before the King of Kings can now begin to advocate for Fasting and Prayer for Yaradunce!

Can't we all smell a rat here, the so called Ewi of Ado did not declare prayer when Ekiti was been raped Politically, where was he when innocent lives were taken by his sponsors?

This group of people are telling us to pray so thier thier so called political intrests will be secure, believe me i have better things to pray and fast for.

Please they should tell thier children who obviously have benefited from Turai's hospitality go on huger strike for me and the good people of Ekiti, we will continue to eat Pounded yam and Ishapa Soup non-Stop! grin
