Fact remains that if the Nigerian oil, the only leverage the south-south has, (which is not giving us anything per say) should dry up, then we all must in trouble for the following reasons.

1. South-south is largely uneducated; I mean the present generation of south-south youths with the exception for those in other parts of the country where they have better chance of decent and sound education and career, they will become a huge burden.
2. The current sophistication of crime and banditry in Nigeria was as a result of the activity of militants in the creeks and now spread all over the SE and SW part of the country
3. South-south leaders are practically incapable to talking to their people because they are not respected as a lot of them have been involved in the illegal oil bunkering going on in the region for a while
4. At the national level the SS people have not been able to partner successfully with any power block due to arrogance over ownership of the oil wealth of the nation.
5. The SE is more self reliant compared to the SS despite the presence of oil SE is more economically active than the SS
6. Without oil SS will be worse than the North, at least the north has learnt to survive and have political power to their advantage oil or no oil, the SS is presently burning all bridges for a man who doesn’t really care about anybody.
Instead of the people of SS to sit down with Prof WS and find out how to move the country forward and put the president’s wife in place, they are busy raining abuses on him. We will see who laughs last!

PoliticsRe: Abacha's Daughter Lash-Out At Wole Soyinka On Twitter by lee007(m):
Now very confirmed that Nigeria will definitely perish as a country if care is not taken quickly, am so ashamed of identifying with Nigeria these days and with very good reason.
I am so appalled at the way a lot of seemingly educated people especially Nigeria young women are insulting Soyinka for speaking the truth as he has always done consistently over the years even before some of these so called online nairaland analysts parents were born!
What has this woman done for Nigerian women sef? What? Has she done 1/100 of what Miriam Babangida did through her better life? Patience is a disgrace to womanhood in Nigeria, a mere okirika rogue lucky enough to marry a clueless, spineless man! Don’t even get me started! Nigeria is a joke!

I honetly hope most Nigerian girls/women are not like these onces commenting and supporting Dame Jonathan? cus if they are, then it is finished!!! no wonder they no dey quick get husband, what a way to use the brain!!!

Soyinka said Patience is a mere appendage of power and so damn right, not only is that a statement of fact but a statement very correct in law, the illegality and unconstitutionality during these Goodluck’s era is just to legendary and sadly most of us don’t even know the implication.

Insecurity is on the rise, poverty is strong as usual, unemployment is the order of the day and power is getting geometrically regressive and still we sit behind the lantern hoping phones and laptops won’t expire and we can still claim the president and his wife are doing well, someone is kidding right.

And where did Abacha’s daughter crawl out from, only in Nigeria will the daughter of such an evil institution even have the got to talk to any Nigerian not even Soyinka!
Like we say in Yoruba land, alainironu lopoju ni nairaland, bunch of empty skulls suffering and smiling!

CelebritiesRe: Eye Witness Defends Kumiyi's Son's Wedding! Says Pictures Were Altered by lee007(m): 12:01am On Jun 26, 2013
Well what can I say……..I like the message of holiness and sanctimoniousity that is preached by this church, but for the issue of HYPOCRISY. I know a family friend who could not get married in the church for donkey years because she did not meet the requirements of the marriage committee on the choice of spouse and other issues till she was well advanced in age, only to die during pregnancy after she got married in her 40’s.

There is something fundamentally wrong with us Africans. We inculcate what we don’t fully have explanations for and subject others to pain and misery. And when thier own turns comes, they just pretend those rules never existed. That is not Christianity.

Even the Taliban will bow at the rules in Deeper Life! Yes! But there are some pastors children worse than hipsters!
This wedding just shows that all the rules of the church are impracticable based on realities after all we are no longer under the law?

I support modestly and holiness but from experience what we see is only 0.00000000001% of what is in existence.
I wish the upcoming generation in deeper life all the best!

donedy: DEAL WITH FACTS BRO! FACTS! IF NOT GO BACK TO YOUR CEREAL!

I took out time to read your comment but all I can conclude that your claims lack the smallest well-substantiated evidence: Most of your analysis were based on unresolved personal emotions and sentiments; from talking about how intolerance Russians are to Russia acting like drug dealer. If I may ask you Mr., who are the ones supplying weapons to Rebels throughout the Middle East?

I think you should be the one that should take the time dig into history, homeboy.
Foreign AffairsRe: Israel Warns Russia Against Giving Syria Missiles (wat A Comedy) by lee007(m): 6:31pm On May 29, 2013
I love this topic!

Many of us have not taken enough time to dig deep into history before we comment here. Israel and Zionism is very complex topic just for most 'kids' on nairaland. Ok let’s talk about the issue at hand!
Russia’s interest in conflict in the Middle East is purely economical with very little iota of political colouration. Russia is very anti-Islamic or anything Moslem. Perhaps Russia is more of traditional orthodox Christian nations with very little tolerance for the outside world (you can ask the Africans and Asians living there)
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Russia lost its economic and political mojo, while left with nuclear heads with high maintenance and a lot of logistics problems. Suddenly Russia realised that what makes America a truly super power was its economic agenda over political affiliations hence America grew because they knew how to use political power to gain economic relevance (China discovered this Formula about a decade ago and see where they are today) simply its use what you have to get what you want from who has it regardless of their color language geographical location or religion
Back to Russia, the only thing Russia can easily export is military hard and software, Russia is rich in energy resources but exploration and exportation of has huge overheads compared to the countries in the gulf region and even Big for nothing Nigeria (yes I said it!) the conflict in the middle east is one of the major contribution to Russian’s GDP. Infect they have the Americans to thank for it. Those conflicts would have been less if Russia and China agrees with every other country on critical issues affecting the region.
Hence Russia will sell nukes to even America if they are willing to pay for it. A lot of us don’t see between the lines. Russia is battling with home grown Islamic terrorism but its economic survival is more important that dealing with inland security lapses. It’s like a drug dealer; you sell to whoever wants to buy regardless of what the effect might be even if the addict might come around to mug you in the street, first the drug has to be sold because money has to be made.
Israel will most likely use intelligence and superior military tactics to take the S-300 out (they have always done that anyways), but the point would have been made of the role Russia is playing.
Russia will never attack Israel for many reasons and Israel will most likely not attack Russia, mind you Jews still live in many parts of the old USSR with great grip on the economy and political configuration of those countries.

My only advise to the Islamic bigots here wishing that Russia will help get ‘their’ pound of flesh back is to simply keep dreaming. Go and read history, dig deep into world politrics and maybe you might just be tempted reconsider your muhamedian affiliations.
PoliticsRe: 35 Governors Voted During NGF Election – Fayemi by lee007(m): 5:22pm On May 27, 2013
An Ekiti-Man will always speak his mind and the truth even if his brother is Jonathan, it is crystal clear that Jonathan has suddenly realized there is power in government contrary to his position when Turai was the acting president, PDP has always been the party of opportunist and desperadoes Jonathan is not any different, any sane person following his leadership and thought process should really worry for Nigeria in the coming 2015 elections.

Not a Fan of any PDP member including Amechi, however it is very clear that than Man has more Balls than the president, i don't know why the Niger-Delta people will not want to replace Jonathan with someone more decisive and has a personality that is presentable.

Jonathan! Amechi won fair and square deal the f**king well with it!

PoliticsRe: State Of Emergency Declared In Borno, Yobe and Adamawa by lee007(m): 10:19pm On May 14, 2013
Jonathan is the dumbest President ever, very ignorant Nigerians are hailing this decision, the basis of the declaration of state of emergency is already defeated if the governors are kept in power... THRE IS NO STATE OF EMERGENCY WITH THE GOVENORS IN OFFICE!!!

Nigerians are so easy to govern because of our short memory, if you follow the decisions GEJ has taken on boko-haram, you will see that it is filled with blunders and political undertones rather than the interest of the security of the nation.
He once declared them as ghosts, offered amnesty and even set up committee....suddenly they are to be 'smoked' out by this dead on arrival state of emergency? Common? this was just a way to dissolve the governors forum, even my grandmother know that!

STOP CELEBRATING MEDIOCRITY NIGERIANS!

The Military has been in Maiduguri for close to three years still the menace is spreading and spreading fast...Boko-haram is like fire, you need to deal with it from source not just the flames....some key individuals are the source and the members are just flames there is little you can do to flames if the source of ignition is still active!

This Aba made state of emergency is going after the flames and leaving the 'source' in power. IT WON'T WORK!!!

Jonah Grow some Balls and stop playing balls with the lives of millions of Nigerians......I dey Vex!!!!!

Lights out…

The first time I heard you rap
I thought oh my God, what a chap
Your lyrics were smoking like a volcano
Even DJs shiver at your Tempo
Omo-ogun you’re truly a lyrical enigma
How come you ended it in your maxima?

Ah Barrack OGrin is gone!
Can someone tell me this is a pun?
Why can’t these special ones stay with us?
Is it their destiny to rush home in a rush?
You shared the dream to become Nigerian president
Infact you intended making Ajah your residence
Now you’re gone beyond the Zanga!

Na wa o my CEO
How come we never did a collabo?
Your originality is beyond mere words
Now I know why the grave holds talents beyond words
See tributes flowing like water on nairaland
Elegies from all the stars from the fatherland
Of a truth, olenu gan!

If I had the honor to write your epitaph
I will put a few words on our behalf
Just so that all doubts might be cleared
“Here lies a true naija boy……
Omo Ogun ton ba awon angeli fa poli papo…”
Lights out!

Ngwakwe: If I may recall, Pardon was part of the plea bargain agreed on the indictment of Salisu Buhari.

He is an impersonator, that aside, if a person have the courage and capability to handle and coordinate the proceedings of NASS in a flawless Leadership, what then is the value of worthless paper called certificate most traders possess and cannot defend them.

Abeg, free the man.

Nigerians have sold their souls for paper qualification and not intellectual acumen coupled with technical know-how.

In our company in Port Harcourt, no one ever discusses the academic qualification of these Lebanese and Scottish workers that I always call redundant waste.

Reading these post I can't just but thank my stars I didn't bite the bait to go to the UK for Postgraduate studies....For anyone seriously interested in making a good life out of Nigeria, the best option are places like New Zealand, Canada, Australia and maybe the united states.

The UK is just too over hyped o jare, Loved holidaying there......apart from those two weeks.... shikenna!!!

I think to economic pressure from the EU is getting to the UK and the only option is for the queen to dig more quids from the people...don't know how long that will last

Here I only pay $25p/m for Hydro and thats it!

Road Tax, Council Tax, TV License, Water rate, Electricity Bill....Kilode shocked shocked
