It's not a useless noise at all.. hunger and poverty is scaling exponentially, biting hard, the price of goods are doubling at a rate we have never seen before, what you buy today, changes in a weeks time.. Thats the harsh reality, from that frustrations and hopelessness , people are voicing out, in the bid to seek for succour, you can't call that NOISE! Instead tell us the reasons why we should have hope, if you are privy to the information as to why we should believe in this project.

So what do you want the government to do in the immediate that will suddenly make price of bag of rice fall to 500 naira? Do you guys even know the model of the coastal road? Do you think government will just be pouring trillion at once or what?

If government have the means to make bag of rice 20k in 3 month, coastal road construction won’t be the impediment that will have to achieve that.

Even you yourself you don’t know why you’re antagonizing the road because apart from all this dilly dallying of poverty, you haven’t brought any vital argument.

All through Buhari 8 years, he never constructed coastal road. So why has he not used the money that would have been invested in coastal road to make rice 10k per bag to alleviate hunger?

Is that how you think it is?

So from your assessment judging from the unstable naira, high cost of living and hunger ravaging the country, you do believe this is the first point of call?

Yes, government focuses on multiple projects at once. It’s only someone myopic that will think one project need to stop before another can proceed.

You can never have 100% smooth road in Nigeria, it’s impossible. So while some break down and government engage in fixing those, it does not stop them from opening new frontiers and creating new roads from scratch.

As we speak now, Umahi is working on multiple federal government project at once. So I don’t understand the useless noise from people about this specific one.

That’s Bellow embezzling almost $1m for his kid school fees. Tinubu can choose to just steal money for Chagoury and nobody will know or question him. But rather than do that, he embarked on a project and people still comparing because of bitter politics.

I see why most government don’t take the citizen serious.

Looks fine though, but here in NIGERIA we need to tackle poverty , insecurities and hunger.

This is clearly a misplaced priority.

So all the years that we’ve not built coastal highway, did the government used the money to cure poverty?

Why is there poverty in Nigeria in 1960? Did they used the money to build coastal road too?

That coastal road will come to pass. It won’t stop government from spending on other roads and etc if they want to.

Rather than just embezzle the money for his cronies, Tinubu is opening new frontiers but you guys keep wailing daily. Maybe he should have just steal the money and hand it to his friends, like that no one will even know anything is missing until he is gone.

Imagine government creating new roads and you guys are crying. Would you rather they embezzle it all so you can be happy?

This is not a big deal. It happens time and time during road constructions and adjustment will be done on the part of Telcos.

All this noise about this project is nauseating. Not like the noise will make FG stop or so why are these guys just wasting their time wailing?

That project will proceed. A million wailing can’t and won’t stop it.

Tenth wonder to those who don't know the difference between country and state. Even una Buhari was also a wonder.

He mentioned he came to Lagos. He saw Nigeria through the image of Lagos.

If he had gone to Sambisa then, he would have said Nigeria is a terrorist country.

Deliberate ignorance is a demon.

I read the article to see the praises for Tinubu and saw nothing.

The Major toured Nigeria and said he fell in love with Nigeria.

I thought they said Lagos is a slum and nobody will speak of Lagos since Tinubu destroyed it in 2007.

So this mayor praising same Tinubu Lagos in the front of bitter Obi should be the tenth wonder of the world.

Yeah..so what is this suppose to mean. Did he praise tinubu's Nigeria.

Tinububjust made business static. Instead of making things

He came to Lagos in 2007 and can only praise Tinubu Lagos then.

Obi the gbajue criminal was seen in the video gnashing teeth as he was about to enter the ground due to shame.

How can they be praising Tinubu instead of praising Bitter Obi.

Politics / Mayor of Brampton, Patrick Brown Praises Lagos Under Tinubu At Obi’s Event by LegendHero(m): 10:27pm On May 05

The Mayor of Brampton, Patrick Brown, has stated his admiration for Lagos State when he visited in the year 2007.

Brown said this at a townhall meeting hosted by the Coalition of Nigerian Canadian Interest Groups based in Canada to honour the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

As seen in a video posted late Saturday by a tweep, Wale Adedayo, tweeting as @Mario9jaa, Obi was seen standing beside Brown as he addressed the cheering audience.

Brown said, “I went to Nigeria in 2007. I went to Lagos and I fell in love with the country. Two years ago, I went back and once again, I toured the country. Anytime you visit Nigeria, you’re saying to yourself, ‘When can I go back?”

He stated that he was “blown away” by the nation’s movie industry, Nollywood.

“There’s a lot of love for Nigeria in my city,” he said.

Also, a member of the Provincial Parliament in Brampton North, Graham McGregor, tweeting as @BramptonGraham, on Sunday, wrote, “In Brampton, we’ve got one of the fastest growing Nigerian-Canadian communities. I’ve spoken with a few people here that are from Brampton and we’ve got a lot of exciting things going on.”

He noted the importance of building an “open, inclusive, welcoming economy for everybody. And to the connections we’re building here with the Nigerian-Canadian community, we want to make sure Nigerians are part of it.”

Your buhari lost 3 times. Gej lost atiku lost Trump lost Zik and awolowo lost too. And yes Abiola lost too all politicians have lost at one point or the other he is not the first to lose and wont be the last person to lose an election people lose some and win some. Have you never lost out on anything you wanted? Losing or wining is not unique to anyone. we lose children parents house money cars, wife spouse dua heaven wont fall if anyone lost something. Best team or candidates lose matches or job opportunities. Why should he losing a senatorial bid mean he is a weak politician?

Bro none of those you mention will lose a senatorial election in their home state at their peak.

It was you that mentioned that Ojukwu is the most notable Ibo man dead or alive. So if he is the most notable and was a political giant, why exactly did he lost a senatorial election that took place in “Anambra” state at his peak!

It is like you saying Awolowo will lose an election in Ogun state at his peak.

Ojukwu could be somebody in other things, but he is a nobody in politics.

5. Zik built Nigerian Cement in Ebonyi in 1955. I am sure you must have heard of Nigerecem.

6. He established Nigeria's first steel company known as Niger Steel. This was way before the military govt of Gowon built Ajaokuta after the civil war.

7. He established the first indigenous bank in Nigeria known as the African Continental Bank ACB before Awo built the National Bank for Nigeria while Sardauna built the Bank of the North which is now Unity Bank.

Now let me list some of Awo achievement for you and in good conscience, tell me who performed better between the two.

You know he build the Ikeja industrial base right before FG took over. Now Western region built the below. Some of this are done in conjunction with UAC and other equity owners but the Western region also have investments in them.

—Nigerian Plastic Company (1954) in Ibadan
—Nidogas in Lagos
—Nigersol Construction Company (1959) in Ibadan
—Nigerian Pre-Pressed and Concrete Company in Abeokuta
—Vono (West Africa) in Ikeja
—Tower Aluminium Ltd in Mushin
—Asbestos Cement in Apapa
—Nigerian Sugar Company in Ikeja
—Nigerian Mosaic and Glass Manufacturing Company in Apapa
—Pioneer Biscuit Company in Ikeja
—West African Portland Company in Apapa
—Nigerian Textile Mills in Ikeja

This is not even mentioning his well documented many firsts.

—First free education outreach in Africa of such magnitude
—Free primary healthcare
—First Television station in Africa
—First standard Stadium
—First government to increase minimum wage for workers that is more than than any of the regions.
—Let’s not even talk about cocoa house and how he re-engineered the finances of Western Region to make it the most wealthy region in Nigeria. Most states today can’t even boast of cocoa house that Awo completed in Ibadan over 60+ years ago.

3. You said I mentioned a University. It should interest you that UNN was the first University to be established in Nigeria as it was a full fledged university unlike University College Ibadan that was a campus of the University of London. Kindly note that the first graduates of University College Ibadan which later became UI received certificates of the University of London. UNN was a brain child of the great Zik abinitio. Awo and Sardauna later built Universities in their regions.

UNN was among the first of it's kind in the black world and he modeled it after the University of Michigan.

No UNN was never the first of its kind in any black world. Think about it, what brain will be behind building another university in Western region when UI already service the populace? Have you ever asked yourself why most frontline people that went to universities do that in Ibadan? Look at early Ibo/Yoruba academicians, Ibadan will always be in the story.

Awo later birth OAU only when there was a need to expand as more and more Nigerians need access to tertiary universal education.

4. The Eastern region under Zik and Okpara devoted almost 45% to education and there was mass literacy in the East.
I don’t understand this. You mean 45% of their budget spending to education? How is that useful in this argument? Also can you provide the source of your data so it won’t be mere hearsay.

I will like to know their total earnings and how much they devote to education and then compare with the Western region own.
