Bikonu, which Enugu is he talking about? PDP will beat APC regardless of the candidates presented. |
All those shouting Ikeja have not been to Ikeja before Ikeja is more like surulere in Lagos, its not that developed like you think, undermining the fact that its the capital of Lagos. Cities like kano and port Harcourt will easily beat Ikeja |
Lolz, sweet weed |
dexentity:with your comment, it is safe to say that the population of igbos in Nigeria is greater than the Yoruba's. Do you agree? |
Southeast is the only region where you wont see people shouting "leave our land" |
Kalu U. Ogbureke, BDS, DMSc, JD, of The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) School of Dentistry, has been named a King James IV Professor for 2016 by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in the U.K. He is the first person of African descent to receive the prestigious award, which is presented annually “in open competition to practitioners of surgery or dental surgery who have made a significant contribution to the clinical and/or scientific basis of surgery.” Ogbureke delivered the 2016 King James IV Professorship lecture and formally received the award April 22 at the annual meeting of the British Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in Edinburgh, Scotland. UTHealth School of Dentistry Dean John A. Valenza, DDS, said the honor is well deserved. “This award affirms to so many others what we here at UTSD have known since Dr. Ogbureke’s return to the School of Dentistry -- and that is his tremendous contribution to the clinical and biomedical sciences in dentistry,” Valenza said. “We are all most proud of him and this recognition.” Ogbureke joined the UTHealth School of Dentistry faculty in October 2012 and currently serves as chair of the Department of Diagnostic and Biomedical Sciences and professor of oral, maxillofacial, head and neck pathology at the School of Dentistry, as well as professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at UTHealth McGovern Medical School.

maclatunji:yes, and when u say southwest, you meant Lagos. A city like Onitsha will easily hold more non- indigens than Abeokuta and akure cos of her commercial nature |
Omofunaab2:it's a lie, they are numerous. Everywhere selling agbo. |
OkoNDOoBo:what's your problem with South south? |

4. In IMO state, there's a special adviser to the governor on Yoruba affairs and and oba of Yoruba community in IMO state, their names are kehinde Sunday amodi and oba adeyemi (I think) The name of the Yoruba monarch in abia state is Alhaji adebayo Azeez, he's the leader of the Yoruba community in abia In Enugu state, the leader of Yoruba community is Mr Ade Johnson Adeyelu. |
3. Businesses by Yoruba's in south East, they are here making there money, you are on nairaland trolling. Adewale Samuel onigilaje is the director of alphadrugs LImited Onitsha, he's doing well. Lawal adewale is a manager at Onitsha mall and you think Igbos are hostile. The phone engineer at slot Enugu is a Yoruba guy, anybody should confirm this. Many more business are done by yorubas on the east.
|
First of all, let me start by saying that anybody that who says this is very much not enlightened and may have not travelled out of southwest to any other region in Nigeria before, I will give you a list (to show you that yorubas are particularly enormous in the east) 1. First of all, my Project supervisor was a Yoruba man, Dr. Shola Omodamiro from osun state, he's now the HOD of biochemistry Department of MOUAU, do you think if igbos were hostile, they will allow him assume the position of HOD? It's rare for you to see such in other region. Please kindly comfirm this name on google. 2. There are lot of streets named after Yoruba people in southeast, an example is adelabu street in umuahia and adeshina street in Enugu, if Igbos were not accommodating, they won't allow it. List loading....
|
bakynes:stop this barbaric claim, if you don't have money to buy land, don't say igbos don't sell land to other tribes. We have a street in umuahia that bears adelabu street and also an adesina street in Enugu. They are mostly occupied by Yorubas, we also see lot of yoruba mechanic here, tailors and agbo Jedi sellers, we don't make noise about it doesn't mean your brothers are no here. |
Yes, a local government like umuneochi local government is heavily dominated by the Hausa, travellers will bear me witness. The issue of southeast not being tolearant is null and void because southeast are even the most tolerant. I have several colleagues in my office that are yorubas, the issues with southeast is that, you dont mess with them and play the tribal game, and same applies to every other region in the country as we have seen in bayelsa, kano and ife. |
