Well, she hasn't dropped a new Afrocentric music video and she hasn't released new sexy photos. Why Yemi Alade is a trending topic is because of the quality of her lyrics.

People have been concerned for a while about Yemi Alade's music and her lyrics. Her 'Koffi Anan' freestyle video raised a lot of eyebrows. I mean the lyrics were very questionable.

Deltans Celebrate as the Former governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori has been released from prison. He was released a few minutes past noon upon a court order 12/21/2016.

His media aide, Mr. Tony Elumenor confirmed the release to Vanguard. Ibori was sentenced by a United Kingdom court to prison for 13 years and served out his term midnight yesterday.

Expectation of his return home to Nigeria, however, remains murky as friends and associates many of who are gathered in London deliberate on the future of the former governor.

Celebrations has been on in the whole of Delta State on the announcement of his release.

No one is in support of jungle justice, but the informations that we’ve gathered concerning the whole incident, Several reports has made us realize that the thief and his gang had brought so much pain and agony to so many families in Alafia, and that was what made the residents there to take laws into their hands– they did what they did because they felt the Police and the law won’t give the culprit the right justice he deserved and might even go scot-free

According to 360nobs , While reports remain conflicting as to the crime he committed and what he actually stole, the uncompromising grip of jungle justice, however, descended on the young lad, who was said to be a seven-year-old, in the morning of Wednesday, November 16.

A source who witnessed the scene said he was caught while trying to break into a shop where food stuff are sold in the early hours of Tuesday.

This is even as another eyewitness claimed that he was caught while trying to steal people’s phones and money at Orile-Iganmu and not garri (staple commodity) as speculated.

Others maintained that the child was not the thief but only attempted to stop three hoodlums, who later fled.

It remains unclear where the incident occurred and what led to the mob action, but what is clear is that this boy was seen with blood gushing out of his head as his attackers meted jungle justice on him.

After beating him up mercilessly, a tyre was forced through his head and he was burnt to death, despite pleas by many to hand him over to the police since he had not actually committed the crime.

The outrage and outcry sandwiched in curiosity from Nigerians led to the state police weighing in with information on the incident.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Shogunle, who is the officer in charge of the Complaints Response Unit (CRU), at the Force headquarters, Abuja, took to his Twitter handle to clarify that the person that was killed was a man and not a boy, and that his corpse is currently in the mortuary for autopsy with investigation ongoing.

When contacted, the command’s spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, a Superintendent of Police (SP) said:

“Studying the video to ascertain if it occurred. Got the report through social media. If established that incident actually occurred, the command would ensure that those behind it are fished out and brought to justice.”
Meanwhile, the story surfaced online that a 7year old boy was beaten and burnt to death in Lagos for allegedly stealing Garri. Well, That News is Completely false first he’s not 7 years old like earlier speculated but he’s still a young boy and from voices heard in the video it’s alleged that he stole a phone and not garri as earlier reported by many online news outlet.


It’s also alleged that he wanted to kill the owner of the phone before he was apprehended, beaten and burnt to death. This happened at Alafia along Badagry-Expressway of Lagos last Saturday. Nothing warrants such barbaric act. Nothing!

Today marked yet another effort to raise awareness as a part of October’s National Bre’ast Cancer Awareness Month: “National No B’ra Day.” The event encouraged women to ditch their bras throughout the day and “set the tatas free” in order to raise awareness for what has become the second leading cause of death among U.S. women.

National No B’ra Day isn’t without some controversy. Some people took to Twitter to point out that walking around without a bra does little in the way of actually contributing to cancer research, while others went so far as to argue that this day meant for awareness overly sexualizes women’s bodies. I’d like to point out that National No B’ra Day doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to post a picture of your unadorned tatas in a see-through shirt — it just requires a little less padded support for a day. The bigger problem I have with this campaign is that it seems insensitive to b’reast cancer patients and survivors — which kind of defeats the point.

A leader in Nigeria should be someone who inspires a people to follow him. He is not a lord who orders his people to do his wishes without considering their opinion and viewpoint for either convincing or review of his decision – ONNI, Joseph Yusuf

So bothered about the degree of Geopolitical, Ethnic and Tribal Sentiments in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, it interests me to probe the reason for the sudden rebellion amongst those who have once sworn to live together.

“I am one of those who had suffered the consequences of the mini-divisions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria into its different Geopolitical, Ethnic and Tribal Divisions. Rather than swiftly concluding that these divisions are products of ignorance and illiteracy, I decided to probe further into the cause of the revolt by looking up into the historical chart of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria had always have challenges of either persuading/compelling/enforcing these different units/fragments (Geo-political, Ethnic and Tribal divisions) to stand unified as the visionary one Nigeria that was amalgamated in 1914 but the rare truth remains that chances are thin that a Nation divided against itself would make a reasonable unified progress even under the operating force of the unitary/central system of government.

To bring an end to these, many propositions have been made through National Conferences, Legislative Chambers, Public Lectures and Media Conferences but none of these have yielded any fruitful result. The failure to yield result is a function of so many abnormalities resulting from Regional/Ethnic/Tribal protection of whoever had to steer the ship of the Nation during the period of these propositions.

Collectively, our nation is being referred to as “Federal Republic of Nigeria” but the salient truth is that it is made of fragments of people who seek independence and freedom from undefined unison that currently has a domineering effect on them. Our united existence had been like a Naval Soldier in comatose resulting from his inability to clearly understand the steering force of the Naval Ship that drives him to an inland water project and also lacking a clear definition of the reason he had to stand alert and watch all day at the deck of the ship.

If we could not accommodate ourselves as a people with a united vision to be the giant of our continent and the world-at-large, if we could not collectively make decisions as regarding the governance of our nation, if we are no longer interested whether there is anything worth being patriotic for in our unified existence, if we no longer trust a fellow Nigeria citizens of a different Geopolitical/Ethnic/Tribal decision all because we believe he/she is a stranger, WHY ARE WE DECEIVING OURSELVES THAT WE ARE NATION?

Back to history, the 1999 Nigeria Constitution adopted the language of the United States of America thus “We, the people” without adopting the process that gave birth to the binding document. Right from our second independent constitutional drafting, laws have been imposed on the masses by a few elites because we ran the military system of government during these periods. The validity of these law depended on how rebellious regions to these unlawful adopted law can be forced or coerced to be subject to what they were never part of in terms of agreement.
As Nigeria, we are no longer in the dark ages. We are no longer in the age of lack of information. We are no longer in the age of confusion. We are no longer in the age of random decision for a collective group of people.

These facts have called for the need to either renegotiate the need to continue in the visions of “Sir Federick Lord Lugard” that birthed us or form our different protectorate for progress in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Many propositions have been made and opposition have also been made but the fact remains, propositions not accepted and acted upon cannot be trusted to contain the will of the people. We need “Restructuring”. As far as the present Nigeria is, we are a simulation of different nations of different lifestyles and beliefs struggling to exist together and make unified decisions.
I call on all those involved (United Nations, African Union, Economic Community of West African States, Political Stakeholders, National Leaders) to look beyond their interest and summon a call to review the ethics of our existence.

As an aspiring Nigerian President, I believe we need the following before we can be maximal in our output:

1. A peaceful co-existence agreement.
2. A defined direction.
3. Patriotic submission for all citizens.
4. A Vision Statement of the need for our existence.
5. A fair leadership system.
6. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Dear Nigerians,

Let me say happy Independence Day to us all. May God give us the grace to witness many more of it in good health and sound mind.

My Compatriots, though our country already at 56, is surely not where we all love it to be yet, but I have a strong hope that we are already on the path to greatness. And that is the kind of spirit I want to urge you all to carry on. There would surely be light at the end of the tunnel for us, let us not lose hope. Notwithstanding, the trying time the country is currently going through, we shall overcome.

If truth must be told, to get to the Promised Land, we all have our different roles to play in the project Nigeria. Most especially the youths, because we are the leaders of tomorrow. While that might sound like a cliche, yet I foresee a Nigeria where the youths would be taking over the mantle of leadership in the nearest future. So let us all begin to shun vices of any kind and embrace all that is virtuous. Because that is the surest way we can prepare for the task ahead.

As an entertainer who has mixed and worked with fellow artistes from virtually every region in the country, I make bold to say that our unity lies strongly in our diversity. And the more we see ourselves as brothers and sisters, the better for us all. And just like in Supreme Mavin Dynasty where we operate with the philosophy that everyone is borne with a unique talent, if you play your part in the nation building in the area where you are unique and I play mine too, you can imagine the result we would get at the end of the day.

Moreover, for project Nigeria to work the way we want, multiple projects need to take place simultaneously in ICT, Health Care, Education, Tourism, Media, Entertainment, and so on in order to open up the goldmines within. I want use this opportunity to call on the Government, NGOs and Corporate Bodies to come together in ensuring that we take this our beloved country to greater heights. We only need to work at it and things would start falling into place in due course. I am very hopeful of that.

Finally, I pray that by this time next year, Nigeria would have some milestones to celebrate. #IDJA

The All Progressives Congress(APC) Candidate, Godwin Obaseki Wins Edo Governorship Election.Meanwhile, PDP has rejected the election results.

According to some eye witness:
“If you go by the results that were announced at the polling units and wards across the state, it shows that PDP would have won by over 30,000 votes.
“What INEC is announcing is clearly different from what we got from our agents and independent observers in the 192 wards and over 2,000 units across the state.
Well Godwin Obaseki of (APC) has been declared the governor elect of Edo state, following the conclusion of electoral proceedings.

Nineteen candidates vied for the ticket to the Government House, however, the main contest was seen between Godwin Obaseki of the APC and Andrew Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

There was a heightened sense of suspense in Benin, even as final analysis of collations for the Edo election was ongoing.

After collation from 17 local governments, a final report from Ovia South West showed that the APC had 12,820 votes while the PDP had 8810, bringing the sum total of votes to 319, 483 and 253173 respectively.

According to statistics, the All Progressives Congress comes up top with a difference of 66,310 votes, however, some analysts raised fears that the election might take a new dimension if the number of votes rejected across the LGAs becomes a thing to take into consideration.

In a final announcement by Professor Kayode Soremekun the returning officer, the APC had 319,483 while the PDP had 253,173.

Professor Soremekun further informed that the total valid votes was 582,299, with total votes cast at 613,244 and rejected votes at 30,945.

Analysis from the graph above shows that with the situation within 17 out of 18 LGAs announced, Obaseki will eventually come tops, even if he get ‘0’ in Ovia South-West, which is not theoretically possible, as the gap is already 62,300 votes.

With one more local government to go, APC has 306, 663 while PDP has 244363.

9:08am: INEC begins proceedings to announce the election results.

The voting in Edo state was concluded on Wednesday, September 28, with many going all out to support their preferred candidates.

Following conclusion of voting on Wednesday, INEC has said that there are no results yet, informing that collation of results for the governorship election would begin today, September 29.

It was gathered that the decision to commence the collation today is in connection with the late arrival of results from the 18 local government areas.

The Edo election has been tagged two horse race between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), though nineteen candidates are vying for the ticket to the Government House.

Edo state has a total of 1,925,105 registered voters; 192 Registration Areas (RAs); 2,627 Polling Units (PUs); and 4,011 Voting Points (VPs).

Shortly after conclusion of elections in all parts of Edo state, some unofficial results began to trickle in, with the PDP taking an initial lead, and the APC taking over somewhere midway.

Reports suggested that after collation of 727 Polling Units out of 2,672 Units in Edo state, APC has a total of 69,196votes while PDP has 75,088votes; with over 13000 rendered invalid.

A total of 25,000 police officers were deployed across the state to ensure peace and security during the polls, while 44 observer groups were accredited by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as election monitors.
