The National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), Muhammadu Kirowa, says that the association have broken ties with the Yoruba nation for going ahead with their Amotekun Security Network. Kirowa speaking at Abuja says that the association and it’s affiliates will cease to support the political ambitions of the Yoruba people, saying that the much debated Amotekun Security Network was formed to disrupt cattle herders.
We cannot be supporting those who are against us. The only reason for forming Amotekun is Fulani people, to drive us away from their land. Tell me are we not all Nigerians? I have seen that the Amotekun boys have been armed. If they are armed, we have no choice than to arm cattlemen because they need to protect themselves from the danger which Amotekun will pose to them.
They cannot reject Ruga and also reject open grazing, they must choose one. All I can tell you now is that they are pushing us too far. They are really pushing us to the walls. We have held meetings with relevant government agencies and they promised to look into the issue. How can they go ahead with Amotekun when the police issued them notice to stop? How can they ignore the President’s directive? I see that there is an evil motive behind this security network.
I heard they have also endowed them with charms to kill our cows. For any cow killed, their government will pay double for it. For every Fulani herdsman killed, violence will erupt. We have been oppressed for too long. It’s time to tell Yoruba people that we are not cowards and by Allah’s power, we will crush Amotekun and crush all their evil plots against the Fulani race.

we practice unitary govt here not federalism, this will affect the country unity and democracy. Nigeria society is heterogenous, the best way to avoid secession is to practice true federalism like US or regional union like the EU.

Before you commit any crime think about the consequence first, then you will see most actions doesnt even worth it. Whenever my wife make angry, will just take my car keys, drive to cool spot, get something to drink with better pepper soup. Now that the dust has some how seems to be settled as regards the legality of the establishment of the South West Security Network,code named,operation Amotekun,the gorvernors should as a matter of urgency send an executive bill to the state houses of assembly in order for the bill to become law and for the governors to sign this into law.
That is the first phase,the second phase is that in order to reassure the Northerners residing and doing business in the region,especially the Hausa-Fulani community that execise is by no way targeted at them,i think some of them who are well known to their host community,especially the HAUSAS,should be recruited into the Amotekun security outfit.This is because there are hardly any security threat by the HAUSAS in the SW.
I want to believe that if this is done,it would go a long way to allay the fear of the Northern political establishment who mist construe the intentions of the conveners of this noble initiative.

There is noting wrong in tribalism, dont get it twisted. According to wikipedia Tribalism is the state of being organized by, or advocating for, tribes or tribal lifestyles.
The concept Nigeria and Nigerian is different entirely. Nigeria is a geographical location situated in Africa while Nigerian in real sense doesnt exist in reality but paper work. yoruba culture and history is diff from fulani same with igbo and ijaw, agatu and idoma, tiv and jukun to mention a few. in Europe they have similar structure like that, the british is diff from germans, Netherlands and french, polish and scotish so they are diff countries that form a union. It should be applied to Nigeria. USA is only successful to hold the country due working laws, justice, equal rights and regional govt within the state. We all know Nigeria is far from that
