Culture / Re: Awujale Goofed By Downgrading Ijebu Igbo by lekeodumuyiwa: 12:17am On Mar 21, 2016
Many thanks to all the contributors to the debate. The essence of the rejoinder is not to be injurious to any person, but expressions of our views on pressing issues that has gained so much attention because there come a time when silence may be eloquent but may no longer be golden as issues of today if not put in proper perspectives may be interpreted as tomorrow's fact.

Be as it may be, the first way forward to resolving the 22 years interregnum is for all of us to strongly persuade those that hung the Orimolusi matter at the Supreme Court where the case file is hidden to withdraw it immediately if they love their community and wants her peace, progress and development.

By hanging the matter at the Supreme Court, they have sentenced Ijebu-Igbo into eternal stagnation and turned us collectively to a people and community that has lost the essence of shame!

When the case is withdrawn from the Supreme Court, the coast will then be clear for an acceptable Orimolusi to emerge. There should be no further obstacles.

Acceptable workable agreement that will usher in Orimolusi must begin in earnest. Our slogan from now on should be 'Enough Is Enough: Orimolusi must emerge.'

The emergence of Orimolusi will fasten our resolve to take a long-term view of our development and redresses the environmental and economic crisis that have enveloped our community.

We must urgently begin to turn our focus outward towards actions that are relevant to sustainable development of our town.

The present debate has made it imperative to have a comprehensive position paper and theoretical perspectives on the historical background of Ijebu-Igbo.

Unfortunately we lost our eminent historian in late Prof (Amb.) Adebowale Adefuye last year August, who will have helped us write our history and tell our story better.

Politics / Re: Fola Adeola's Governorship Campaign Posters Flood Ogun State by lekeodumuyiwa: 10:52pm On Aug 22, 2013
Good competition breeds innovation and creativity. It will make Governor Amosun to put on his thinking cap about the development of Ogun State.Fola Adeola is a good personality that have the capacity to rule the state too but he will be my political foe in 2019 as I will run for the Governorship election of that year.
Politics / Re: Amosun Launches 150 Taxi Cab In Ogun by lekeodumuyiwa: 10:36pm On Aug 22, 2013
I commend Governor Amosun for this and I hope the metro taxi cabs will be for all the towns in Ogun State. Major towns like Ijebu-Igbo,Ijebu-Ode,Sagamu,Ilaro,Owode and others should be the pilot scheme. He has once again connected himself with the foresight of his ancestors like Chief Obafemi Awolowo in rendering visionary leadership. He should focus also on primary health care delivery and renovations of primary schools in Ogun State.

Fashola met the man he must not miss in Tinubu. To have missed Tinubu is to unfulfilled the course of his destiny to greatness and tarry in the valley of obscurity. What a great meeting the day Fashola met Tinubu?.It goes beyond partiality but an appointment with history by both men.

Politics / Re: Ijebu Igbo: Town Without A King For 16 Yrs. by lekeodumuyiwa: 4:48pm On Aug 04, 2013
Daddybee: Ijebu Igbo, arguably the second largest town in Ogun state has been without a king for the past 16 years. The last monarch of the town, Oba Adetayo died in 1994 and since then all efforts to have a new king has been unsuccessful.

Ijebu Igbo is the home town of many illustrous men and women dead and living. People like the late Abraham Adesanya, Micheal Adenuga, Prof. Babatunde Oshotimehin, Sen. Lekan Mustapha, Dr. Ademola Babajide etc. I believe this town would have been more developed than this if there had been a king. The politicians from this town are self centred and do not really care about the development of the town because Gbenga Kaka, the deputy governor under Osoba is from this town. There should be concerted effort towards instally a new king in this town. Perhaps we should seek the assistance of the Awujale and Oba Otudeko whose mothers are from this town. The problem is that most of this town's elites does not show much interest in the development of the town. It was after his mother died that Mike Adenuga deemed it fit to build a personal house in the town and I am not sure he has slept in the building since after the burial. I doff my hat for the elites of Ijebu Ode. May be its because they have a king. We need a paramount ruler in Ijebu Igbo.
Politics / Re: Sule Lamido: APC Is Political Fraud by lekeodumuyiwa: 11:32pm On Jul 11, 2013
Governor Sule Lamido that was imposed by Obasanjo and rigged into government house is calling another party a fraud and castigating others. When his son was caught with undeclared foreign currency on his way out of the country,he didn't call that fraud. He will soon feel the heat from the Presidency again unless he totally forgots his 2015 ambition. We are on the look out.

Politics / Re: Opposition Cannot Spoon-Feed The Government - ACN by lekeodumuyiwa: 4:58pm On Apr 12, 2013
I have short commentary today because am glad that after 14 years of being in power, the PDP led government have finally swallowed their pride waiting for the opposition to borrow them ideas and solutions on how to run government. They are now afraid and shall be chased out of their covens of ineptitude, corruption, mismanagement and official leakages of our resources and never again will Nigeria be govern by wicked leadership and killers of hope.
Politics / Re: APC Is A Threat To Democracy – Obanikoro by lekeodumuyiwa: 11:19am On Apr 08, 2013
Obanikoro is bitter and angry.Tinubu made him commisioner and also gave him the slot under Alliance for Democracy and became a Senator. His problem started when he was influenced by PDP milk in Abuja and decamped to PDP thereby betraying and abandoning the mandate people freely gave him.The people he is castigating now gave him Certificate of Occupancy to live in Parkview in Ikoyi.I will not fault him on some of the issues he raised but the truth is Lagosians did not vote for him because he does not have the ideas and mental capacity to rule a state like Lagos. He did not provide alternatives solutions. He should concentrate on his ambition and try his luck in 2015.Hear Obanikoro in 2007;I will disband Lastma while Jimi Agbaje said I will strengthen Lastma and make it work better.
Politics / Re: Happy Birthday To Bola Ahmed Tinubu! by lekeodumuyiwa: 6:14pm On Mar 30, 2013
Asiwaju today remain undisputable leader of the Yoruba race, providing credible political leadership for the Nigerian state. As I witnessed and participated in the 5th Bola Tinubu Colloquium on his 61st birthday titled "Beyond mergers-A New Generation speaks "with young people of my generation in their 30's doing justice to the debate .I cannot but commend the conspirators of the colloquium for believing in the youth and allowing us to be part of those whose future leadership will be enthrusted upon unlike our brother on the other side who just appointed a 78 year old man who can not press keyboard to be the Chairman of his party board of trustees and also chairman of a commanding height of the economy; thereby presiding over the future he will not be part of.
Happy birthday Sir Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-Jagaban

Politics / Re: APC: Opposition Governors To Meet In Maiduguri Today by lekeodumuyiwa: 11:45pm On Feb 28, 2013
Let me start by saying that"honourable adventures are not undertaking by a chicken hearted fellow but by those who are not afraid of the vagaries of adventure itself"The choice of Maiduguri as the meeting place of the opposition governors under the new platform of APC once again confirm the seriousness of the promoters of the new alternate party. It shows an abiding faith in the project called Nigeria despite the security challenges of the state. The people of Borno state will by this know that a new baby that will rewrite their history is been born.Let the PDP led government continued to ignore the state as if they are not part of Nigeria.Let them continue to mismanage and misdirect the collective wealth in Abuja as the expiry date draws nearer.

Politics / Re: 2015: Buhari, Tinubu Meet In Kaduna. by lekeodumuyiwa: 11:13pm On Feb 27, 2013
I think our people should be careful about their comments on the merger. What is the essence of a political party that has been in power for 14 years and cannot provide basic amenities for humanity unlike what we see in the western world.A merger of the opposition political parties is not a bad idea. But am surprised that most of the commentators on this platform whom i think should know better that nothing good can come out the present arrangement led by PDP speaks like a person suffering from fungi infested mind. There must be alternatives to everything in life. Therefore those that did not understand whats development, qualitative good life and provisions of other infrastrures will always condemn the merger and bring saints from heaven to come and remake the political process and constitutional democracy.
I support Buhari and Tinubu in providing leadership at this critical time of our nation building.
