vickyhow:Hmmm, fix Nigeria! You know why Nigeria cannot be easily fixed? It's because to fix Nigeria, money is involved, and anything in Nigeria that involves spending money (budget), that you do not earn but allocated in billions of naira, it develops wings and if you are somebody that has no personal integrity, you will surely fail. Another thing is that in Nigeria, it's hard for an independent candidate to get into a position of president, you must have people (good and bad) that will work for you, supporters, people that turns tide for you, influences certain people and when eventually you got to that office, will you now say NO when they send you a list of people to fill your cabinet with! Don't forget the civil service that is full of corrupt official. So I salute those that want to fix Nigeria, but remember you can't do it by yourself and because we are all aware of the character your supporters and friends and your own antecedents, I don't think Atiku is the man that can do it, we are tired of recycling. |
Esseite:You're very right, but come to think of it, there is no problem if you travel out of this country for greener pasture, but when out there, why do you have to be involved in criminal activities? Why not behave yourself, respect yourself, dignify your father's and your country's name, that means assuming while you were in Nigeria, you have the opportunity being in any government position, you will be the same or worse than those you claimed are not doing well. We are our own problem, as simple as that. |
Arrest the tree immediately, for destruction of private properly, obstruction of potential Nigeria formula one champions, manslaughter, murder and insensitive to holidaymakers enjoyment mood. Sentenced to death by burning till it turn to aches. May the souls of the departed rest in peace. Amen. |
Just as manchester united will call manchester city the noisy neighbour, our S.E block has suddenly become our noisy neighbour. |
But i thought PDP said they'll rather build school and not prison, very well, maybe they've thought twice and knowing that change might come and no one knows tomorrow, let's build some prison to our taste because,we might end up being there. |
[quote author=Oilandgas1 post=29485607]I’ve interacted extensively with Buhari and I think he is conscious of the fact that we are in a civilian dispensation and that we are bound by the rule of law and the Constitution. He has repeated this so often. He has demonstrated this by going to court every time he lost election, pursuing the rule of law and legal processes. He could have completely ignored it. He could have said, ‘I don’t even believe in the rule of law. I don’t believe in the system.’ But he has Thanks, you said it all. For me,it's time for a change,I dont mind having him as our president, let's see the difference in government than to continue with the roller-coaster we are in now. |
Sunday. Monday. Tuesday. Wednesday. Thursday. Friday. Saturday. A Pill For Each Day. |
That's a big leap for Chi. congratulations to them. |
That's impossible,am sure it's one those hoax peddle by those useless internet people. Anyway how can the sun go on vacation for 6 days? Let's reason it out, 1. The sun is stationary and all the planets revolve around it, on planet earth, because the earth spins as it revolve around the sun,we have day and night. So for the earth to be in darkness, that means that 1. the sun is extinguished, 2. there is a bigger planet before earth moving relative to earth and blocking off all rays from the sun for both day and night all over from New Zealand to Mali, Antartica to the South Pole. Anyway as God is on the throne after setting the order of the universe, sun, moon and stars, rainfall and sunshine, life and death. Nothing like that will ever happen. |
And let the political entertainment begin. The youth irrespective of the background has started showing interest and the wave should blow away those old men. congratulations in advance D1. |
The issue of banning commercial motorcycle riders-okada-is a very controversial one. The truth is that they constitute a nuisanse on our roads, they obey no rules at all, ride one-way, makes u-turns anyhow and all other negatives which every Nigerian knows. But they have helped a lot by providing fast, effective, but dangerous means of transport, they've provided jobs for millions of people, they actually thrive because government have failed in providing the basic mode of transport. For me,there should be a gradual process, let's say 3 years, government should say in 3 years time,we'll phase out okada, within the 1st year,we are going to stop the importation of motorcycles except for private use,all existing okada riders should form a union and the members conduct themselfs in an orderly manner and if they can form a strong, orderly and discipline union with a restricted number, government can allow them to operate at certain area that government feels they are highly needed to support the provision of mass transit. Any okada that connot fall into place, goverment is going to buy off the bike at a good price and destroy such bike. For now that's what i can think of,but just banning them will cause more havoc. |
Good One. I Think By Now They Should Show Us The Picture Of The Type Of Train To Run On The Tracks. Locomotive Or Bullet Trains? So Our Expectation Would Be Worthwhile. |
It's been on nairaland before,why again? |
manutdadex:It's Not About Hatred, Nor What Presidents Before Him Did But It's About Change, I Believe We All Voted Him In So That We Can Experience Change As An Intellectual And A Gradate. But We Were Deceived. A Proverb Says Show Me Your Friends And I'll Tell You Who You Are. So Who Are The Presidents Friend? Again He Refused To Declare His Assets Which Would Have Helped Him Now. So I Think He's Shooting Himself On The Foot. |
So they want to rehabilitate BH. I am very sure this is another opportunity to steal money, anyway it's there time, they are in power. But they should compensate every known victim of BH attack,re-build chibok school, release the 12 soldiers sentenced to death,re-build yanyan park, compensate the victims of that attack, buy back all private vehicles lost to the attack and offer Nigerians apology. Thats all. |

The Truth Is That This Is One Of Those Money Stealing Issue Gone Sour. There Are Many Possibilities But My Thought Is That The Statement Is A Damage Control, We May Never Know The Real Intent Of The People Involve, But One Thing I Know, That Money Has Nothing To Do With Buying Weapons, But When Things Did Not Go Well, Weapon Buying Is A Good Story. Fortunately Nigerians Are Wiser But Can We Change The Prevailing Perpetual Deceiving Situation Of Our Leaders? |
Good talk Mr President, but are you serious about the proclamation. Oga Gowon may have been 32 when he did his coup and took over but is that allowed now,if Okar and his mates had succeeded against Babangida,he would also had been a reference point. My point is that when the chips are down, non of you would allow somebody of that age to become anything, come to think of it,at what age would a so called youth leave school with all the strikes, closures that had prevail over the last 20 years. God saves Nigerian youths. |
Congratulations team Nigeria, you have proven yet again that despite the rag-tag preparations, you can do well. And especially to our sisters that have taken the ability to dig for gold to the commonwealth of nations. congratlations. |
Congratulations team Nigeria, despite the rag-tag preparations you guys were able to achieve a golden result, well done and especially to our babes, kudos, diging Gold since forever. I am suggesting that henceforth only our sisters should be representing us in all categories of sport. Seems they bring in more satisfactory results. kudos to them all. |
Congratlations team Nigeria and especially the babes, digging Golds since BC 0001. I wonder what happened to our guys even those "tokunbo's" from US. Anyway it's always a good news in the midst of all the bad news around us everyday. |
It is high time we as Nigerians becomes very vigilant about what is going on around us,let us be like a human CCTV,the first thing somebody seeing this sort of incident is to take/cram the plate number, colour of vehicle, which direction the vehicle is heading. But am sure, this story is fake, false, misleading, ridiculous and fictitious,God bless us all. |
