Securing your dreams
First step to securing your dreams and laying a strong foundation for its actualization is to have faith in your abilities!

This has been a message that I have passed to many of my friends and so many other people I have encountered. Without a humble and reasonable confidence in yourself, you cannot be successful and your dreams may never be actualized.

Take a leap of faith. Start by believing in yourself. And believe that there is a living source, a sower of dreams just waiting to be asked to help you make your dreams come true.

Nigerian Twitter users are mourning the untimely death of a youth corps member and Channels TV reporter, Precious Owolabi, who was killed by a stray bullet during the bloody Shiites protest in Abuja yesterday July 22nd.

Owolabi until his death was a Corps member serving in Channels TV Abuja. He was out with his senior colleagues covering the protest that turned bloody when he was hit by a stray bullet and died later in the hospital.

Nigerian twitter users have described Owolabi’s death as sad.

Ghanian Superstar, Shatta Wale has claimed that after listening to his voice on his collaboration with Beyonce, he can finally confirm that he sounds just like the Canadian singer, Celine Dion.

The Ghanaian singer also revealed that he has been receiving calls for international projects, since Beyoncé’s Lion King album was released.

On having a silky voice like Celine Dion, Shatta Wale said in an interview he granted;

“A lot of producers around the world have contacted me with most saying that they like my voice. It was after that I listened to my voice well and I realized that I sound like Celine Dion.”

Earleier before now, the singer revealed that he will be going with Beyonce on the Album tour.

He said;

“She’s (Beyonce) gonna go on tour… They’ve told us, we are gonna be on that tour ( SM team), “

He further referred to Sarkodie as a hypocrite who isn’t truly proud of his progress

Other African Artistes featured on the album include; Yemi Alade, Tekno, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Wizkid and Mr. Eazi.

While speaking on the new album, Beyonce said that she worked with aforementioned artistes because she wanted to ensure that she worked with the best from Africa and not just sample sounds from Africa.

The comedian made this revelation when a follower questioned him for showing off and tried to school him on why billionaires like Dangote and Otedola don’t do same.

AY, while trying to defend himself, mentioned that he is into entertainment and such is needed.

More so, entertainment on the other hand is any activity which provides a diversion or permits people to amuse themselves in their leisure time, and may also provide fun, enjoyment, and laughter. In other words i can create my own entertainment by spontaneously inventing ideas; or participate actively in any activity you may find entertaining.



If we are going to be honest with ourselves, we should admit that some of us go into show business wanting people to talk about us and wanting everyone to know who we are and the things we can do. But that also does not take away the fact that there are a whole bunch of people who will still not like us. No matter how we try.

Why do you think talents post their works online? Why do people watch The Kardashians even when some believe that they have less talent like AY? Why would some people come out of Big Brother Nigeria and suddenly become relevant? It’s all because In show business you must have something to show before the business would come. Entertaining you and showing you a part of my lifestyle, might surprisingly just be me carrying out my brand ambassadorial duty in the video that went viral.

Do you even know if the builders of my house or sellers of my cars are giving me a percentage for every contact i bring? Abi na crime to promote my wife @Midas_interiors work too?

President Muhammadu Buhari ministerial list has finally been forwarded to the Senate for confirmation.



According to a report by the Nation, there are 43 nominees by the President.

On the list announced by Senate President Ahmed Lawan are former ministers Babatunde Fashola, Rotimi Amaechi, Ogbonnaya Onu, Adamu Adamu(Bauchi), Senator Chris Ngige(Anambra).

Also on the list are former Governors Rauf Aregbesola(Osun) George Akume(Benue) Timipre Sylva(Bayelsa), Adeniyi Adebayo(Ekiti).

Some of the newcomers are Senator Godswill Akpabio(Akwa Ibom), Sunday Dare(Oyo), Festus Keyamo(Delta), Sharon Ikeazor(Anambra), Senator Tayo Alasoadura(Ondo), Senator Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara) and Olorunnibe Mamora(Lagos).

Lawan said screening of the nominees commences tomorrow.

An Arewa activist, Abdulaziz Naibi, blamed the LGBTQ community and homosexuality for the widespread insurgency, kidnapping and bad economy witnessed across the country.

Joining the campaign against the LGBTQ community by Arewa members, Abdulaziz Naibi, tweeted;

LGBTQ, Homosexuality and adultery are the major causes of insurgencies, innocence killings, kidnapping and Economic Recession.

The law in Nigeria states this about “Homosexuality”. “14 years imprisonments for same sex marriage contract or civil union” “10 years imprisonments for anyone who registers or participate in gay clubs, society & organizations”. Stay awake!!!

He also gave a fair warning to Southerners, trolling him over the tweet. According to him, they should back off, because they were given a break when they opposed the RUGA settlement.

“Dear Southerners when you unites together nd strongly opposed #RUGA we don’t ask you to stop cause you think it won’t be good to your society So we too #LGBTQ isn’t acceptable in our religion and in our culture. Please give us some rest” he tweeted.

Big Brother Naija housemates, Frodd and Esther played a mild drama in the house after Esther turned down Frodd’s relationship proposal.

Frodd claimed that he had nothing but respect for Esther as she has so much control over him in which is why he wants an intimate relationship with her.

He was heard saying;

“Hold me down when I want to lose it. Those times I want to throw tantrums tell me to shut up and I’ll listen. If anyone says it I won’t listen. You are the only one that can do that. I talk a lot; I need someone to counsel me.”

Esther responded with;

“I don’t understand what you mean by when you want to lose it. You can find someone else to counsel you; it doesn’t necessarily have to be me.”

Moments after hearing this from her, Frodd started crying, Esther added “I will go and bring tissue, please don’t cry before I come back.” She walked out and returned with a tissue for him to wipe his tears, which he took.

The senate of the University has approved the restoration of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) student union after it was proscribed by Management on March 8, 2019, to forestall breakdown of law and order.

Rising from its emergency meeting earlier today, the senate after considering letters of apology submitted by the executive and legislative arms of the Union, also approved the reviewed constitution of the Union as submitted by the Students Representative Council.

Other highlights of the Lautech Senate approval includes that:

√The nomenclature of SRC members should remain as HONOURABLE.
√Electoral and Election Petition committee shall be made up of best students in each departments.
√Registered students seeking elective positions must have minimum of CGPA of 3.5 or its equivalent based on the last approved result prior to Student Union election.
√The above is applicable at all levels of Student Union in the University.

A boat capsize occurred in Ikorodu area of Lagos state yesterday Saturday June 29th. A pregnant woman has been reported dead while 16 others are missing following the boat mishap.

According to reports, the Lagos boat which was transiting from Badore to Egbin in Ijede Ikorodu, capsize d at about 10pm.

In November last year, three dead were reported dead and 19 others resuced after a boat capsized in Ibru Jetty waterfront in Lagos state. About 22 passengers had reportedly boarded the boat from the Liverpool Jetty to the Ojo waterside, but midway into the journey, the boat had a head-on collision with another.

Manchester United is delighted to confirm the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace. Aaron has signed a five-year contract with an option to extend for a further year.

The 21-year-old defender came through the ranks of Crystal Palace’s academy. He made his professional debut in February 2018 and picked up both the fans’ player of the year award and also the players’ player of the year award in his first full season. Aaron represented England at this year’s UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

Robots are expected to take over some 20 million manufacturing jobs worldwide by 2030, extending a trend of worsening social inequality while boosting overall economic output, a new study shows.

The forecast set to be released Wednesday highlights growing concerns that automation and robots, while offering economic benefits, are disproportionately killing low-skill jobs and aggravating social and economic stress.

The study by Oxford Economics, a private British-based research and consulting firm, said job displacement from the rise of robots will not be evenly spread around the world, or within countries.

Robots have already taken over millions of manufacturing jobs and are now gaining in services, helped by advances in computer vision, speech recognition and machine learning, the study noted.

In lower-skilled regions, job losses will be twice as high as those in higher-skilled regions, even in the same country, the study concluded.

The research comes amid intense debate on the rise of technologies such as self-driving cars and trucks, robotic food preparation and automated factory and warehouse operations and their impact on employment.

Many analysts point out that automation has generally led to more job creation than it destroys, but that in recent years the trend has created a skills gap that leaves out many workers.

According to the latest study, the current wave of “robotization” is likely ultimately to boost productivity and economic growth, generating roughly as many new jobs as it destroys.

At the high end of the forecast, the researchers see a $5 trillion “robotics dividend” for the global economy by 2030 from higher productivity.

“We found that jobs where repetitive functions are required are most affected, with those such as warehouse work at imminent risk,” the authors wrote.

“Jobs in less structured environments and which demand compassion, creativity or social intelligence are likely to be carried out by humans for decades to come.”

It added that “robots will increasingly play in sectors including retail, healthcare, hospitality, and transport as well as construction and farming.”

Some American music heads were discussing the growth of Afrobeats in America and they had a few things to say about Wizkid and some other revered African music acts.

According to members of the Road Podcast, Wizkid would have been widely unknown safe for the fact that he worked with Drake.

The Podcast crew attributed any success Wizkid enjoys in America largely to the exposure given to him by OVO honcho Drake with whom he made ‘One Dance’ with.

A particular podcaster said ‘Wizkid is trying to be the Sean Paul of Afrobeat but he is not even close’. He went on to say there is really no poster boy for Afrobeat music.

Another explained that if Afrobeat music was in discussion the names that would pop up would be Davido and Wizkid.
