Palmchatters reported the Pandemonium on 24 Road, in the Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State, after suspected cult members shot dead four persons.

It was learnt that a 63-year-old native doctor, identified as Rasheed Yusuf, aka Low Banger, who was walking along the road, was the first to be killed.

The attackers were said to have also shot at Rasheed’s wife, Falilat, and a two-year-old girl, Kehinde.

The duo, however, survived the attack.

The cultists further reportedly waylaid and shot dead two men, identified as Yusuf Cisco and Lukman Apetu, who were returning from work on a motorcycle.

A yet-to-be-identified resident was also reportedly killed during the shooting spree which left many residents injured.

On Saturday, most shops and houses on Tobalase and Olubuse streets, as well as Awotunde Lane, were locked as a crowd of sympathisers was observed at Rasheed’s house.

It learnt that Cisco, another victim, was buried on Saturday in accordance with Islamic rites.

A relation, who did not want his name in print, said the gunmen were on a reprisal, adding that they decided to pass their aggression to residents when they didn’t meet their targets.

He said, “Baba (Rasheed), a well known native doctor in this area, was walking to his son’s shop on Tobalase Street when he heard the gunshots. He was about warning his children to lock the doors, when the gunmen shot him.

“They also shot at his wife and a little girl. We rushed the woman and the child to a public hospital where they are still receiving treatments.

“After leaving that spot, they shot at three young men returning from work. Two of them died that evening, while the third died in a hospital later. People were injured by the sporadic shooting. A man, Baba Ogo, was injured in the stomach.”

A resident, who gave his name only as Qudus, said the cultists came in from the Ebute area of Igbogbo.

He said, “The cult guys are from Ikorodu town. They came in from the Ebute area. We do not know the gang they belong to. Some Onyabo (vigilance group) members have been patrolling this area, but they are arresting innocent residents.

“When we went to bury one of the deceased today (Saturday), the gunmen still shot at someone in the cemetery.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Dolapo Badmos, confirmed the deaths.

She added that the police had arrested three suspects.

She said, “Three suspects have been arrested. They will soon be transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Ikeja. The command is on the trail of other suspects.”

My name is Sewa, I work in an hotel at Iyana Ipaja as a bar supervisor. Am a graduate of Lapostech (HND). I work 24 hours because of the nature of my job and its a day off and on, meanwhile mine has been 3 days on and one day off because I make more money than others. Before I got to this hotel as a staff, they make lesser than I make now. Per day, my target is 100k but I make 130k at worst because we have club in the hotel as well.
It happened on friday when a customer wanted to buy a wine and I was eating before the customer came in, I was still chewing my meat when the customer came in and I tried to attend to the customer with the meet in my mouth because I do not want to delay him. In that process, my Managing Director came in and slapped me 2times in the presence of customers and even guys that were making wooing me, his reason was that I attended to a customer while eating. We not have break time in this my place of work o.
He slapped me and I worked away to continue my work but I want to revenge. I do not want my silence to be in vain.
My manager has been begging me not to resign because I dropped my resignation letter that day. He is begging me to come back.

Buhari on Monday 25th, 2016 at the presidential villa in Abuja, former president Olusegun Obasanjo said that the ongoing budget Padding scandal has confirmed that Nigeria's lawmakers are rogues and armed robbers. An Igbo man on his traditional wedding day chose to do everything in his wife's culture(Yoruba). He was asked to prostrate with his all expensive white agbada as this is a compulsory thing to do as part of the marriage rites in the Yoruba land.He refused abruptly and everybody were surprised and this kept the wedding on hold till now as I speak because the Yorubas believe it is a pride and can't give her out to a proud Igbo man. For me, I don't think he loves her, because you can actually do anything for love.

The Federal Government is planning to prosecute nine out of 26 members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly for alleged forgery of their academic results.
According to a source, the decision to prosecute them was based on the outcome of “an intensive investigation carried out by the Department of State Services into the state lawmakers’ certificates.’’ Investigation was said to have been carried out in schools allegedly claimed to have been attended by the lawmakers and their former places of work.
The source explained that the files of the affected lawmakers had been sent to the office of the Attorney General of the Federation for prosecution. Reacting to the planned prosecution, the Chairman, Committee on Information of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Gboyega Aribisogan, said no member had been invited by any security agency for questioning. He argued that there could be no prosecution of their members without investigation and subsequent indictment. “None of our members forged certificates. We went through screening with the DSS and we duly submitted our certificates to INEC and underwent proper documentation.

A 9yrs old boy who confessed of stealing a pot of soup and a bowl of eba in the house and also from Neighbors was chained and starved for months by a Celestial Church of Christ pastor (his father Francis) who has been arrested with his wife (a step mother to the 9yrs old) who aided the cruel act.

It was reported that Francis chained his son, Korede, to the altar in the church for more than a month and starved him until he went into coma in an attempt to cast out the supposed spirit that made the boy to steal.
The 40-year-old pastor was apprehended by the police from the Onipanu division on Sunday at his church – CCC, Key of Joy Parish – in Ajibawo, Atan, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Korede was, however, rescued on Friday during a joint operation by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the police, after receiving a tip-off from residents of the area.
Police sources revealed that Francis might be charged with attempted murder, among other offenses, after the completion of investigation.
