gunners160: I really wonder what is wrong with this country self. Some people are looking for jobs while some dnt appreciate what they have.. Let me be frank with you OP,having a masters degree is gud in fact perfect but nothing beats work experience. Go to UK and have a master and at the end of the day you start looking for job on the street maybe then you will appreciate the work you once had. If You knw, that you dnt have somebody that knws somebody somewhere, beta just stay with your job LOL. Thanks bro. I actually "don't have somebody that knows somebody somewhere". |

Xcely: From the advice of an alumnus, I’ll say you should go for the Scholarship. 1.) Like someone hinted, there are several organisations recruiting African talents for jobs in Africa through the CareersAfrica platform. Bosch, African Import Export Bank, Unilever, Nestle, etc Every year in London these recruitments happen. Just be on the lookout for this particular career fair.
2) From January 11th, the UK passed a law allowing international students on a tier 4 to stay back after their masters for Atleast aleast a year during which if they find a job, they can remain. This might apply from the incoming 2018/2019 set. This changes everything from before. Definitely puts the UK at par with countries like Canada etc that have similar timelines after visa expiry. It’s even better cos the UK has numerous jobs and many more to come with Brexit taking its toll. Thanks bro. |

Qshigb: Consider these:
1. After your masters program you only have 3 to 4 month to stay in UK, unless you extend your stay by apply for another program
2. Don't expect to get a good or better job, because students are not allowed to do full time. You can only get menials jjobs such as cleaning and security.
3. If you decide to come back to Nigeria after your study consider the time it may take you yo get better job
3. If you really wish to go, I will advise you take study leave from work, or if you can afford the cost you can manage the two, you will just be travelling may be once in every month for the 1st 2semesters, the Las semester doesn't require your class attendance, bcis its just for research, you only need to communicate with your supervisor via mails and others. Best of luck Thanks. |

Babacele: bros those guys don't get it , do they? A dead Buhari is 1 billion times better than a living GEJ who couldn't manage a $120/ barrel oil proceeds. As long as dem warped permutations and perspectives are shaped by the 2015 reality and Gej's narratives which are non negotiable total disasters so long shall we continue to prefer the lesser evil which is the APC government. "...$120/barrel oil proceeds..." Where do you think the humongous amount the GEJ government used in offsetting subsidy commitments emanate from? ...and the funds used in defending the naira when crude prices began to slide since late 2013; where did that also come from? Stop deceiving yourself and embrace the truth. This is no time for blind party support. Your god Buhari has has only succeeded in pulling us back 30 years. He has made a mess of our economy through sheer ineptitude. |
