Phones / A Product Of Value: Itel P36 Series by leom007(m): 4:38pm On Jul 29, 2020
The best path to initiating brand-user connections comes from the ability of a product or service to offer value, again and again. It is this factor that draws us to making repeat purchases or choosing a particular brand over others.

For many years, itel Mobile has maintained the culture of delivering mobile communication offerings that have endeared the brand to millions of customers across Africa. Recently, this received a boost with the introduction of the itel P36 series.

The series is durable, reliable, and the latest addition to the smartphone for everyone brand’s power series. And the introduction coincides with the brand's expansion into other product categories: itel TV and smartphone accessories - Bluetooth headsets, power banks, and smart fitness bands.

A Storehouse of Premium.

One quick check confirms this. The features of itel P36 series give extra benefits to the user, from one feature to the other. Its 8.6mm slim unibody design and 6.5’’ HD+ Fullscreen keep dust at bay and ensure impressive viewing for entertainment and other lifestyle needs.
The series is equally irresistible with three options for users to pick from – Gradient Deep Blue, Blue, and Gradient Purple.

Value Overload.

The 4G LTE feature, first of its kind on the series, fitted with the itel P36 Pro LTE guarantees superfast internet connections with no buffering. This means seamless access to fast uploads and downloads.

Also, users will get the "Bigger" advantage on itel P36 and P36 Pro LTE. This assurance comes with the 5000mAh bigger battery. The battery is empowered by an upgraded AI Power Master to give users three days of normal usage without having to worry about plugging into a power socket often.

This is supported further by the bigger memory capacity. The itel P36 has two variants (1GB ROM + 16GB and 2GB RAM+ 32GB ROM of storage) while the itel P36 Pro LTE comes with 2GB ROM + 32GB of storage and 4G LTE. This means more space to save memories, get those important productivity apps installed, and relax with memes and music videos.

Enjoying all of these goodies wouldn't break the bank. itel P36 is available for purchase at N33,500 for the 1GB+16GB variant, N37,900 for the 2GB+32B variant, and N43,500 for itel P36 Pro LTE. You’d love the choice.

Have you ever been in a spot where you had to fix things fast, like really fast? Imagine trying to get things done and the internet connectivity is so slow that your shine is at a disadvantage. That hurts, right? But I have an answer to that- the itel P36 Pro. It is the perfect solution for everything slow.
While brands here and elsewhere are making investments to take care of the need for a connected world, especially now that the coronavirus pandemic is changing how we live, work, and play, itel Mobile has gone the extra mile.
Pouring from her big cup of innovation, the smartphone for everyone brand has definitely provided the right solution with the new itel P36 series. With the images of the itel P36 series I have seen; these smartphones definitely build on the success of the itel P33 series released last year. Comprising itel P36 Pro LTE and itel P36, here’s what you should know about the new series from itel Mobile.

The 4G LTE feature on itel P36 Pro LTE comes off as a fitting contribution to the global quest of ensuring individuals, households, and communities coexist in a connected world. Indeed, the timing is right as the inventive beauty is coming to phone stores near you soon.
itel P36 Pro LTE and itel P36 run on an impressive 5000mAh battery. This means you don’t have to worry about establishing connections because the battery will last for 72 hours on a single charge. And one full charge happens in less than three hours!
itel P36 Pro LTE might just be the much-needed solution to the connectivity issues you’ve been experiencing with work, life, and the in-betweens.

Nairaland / General / COVID-19: Itel Mobile Partners With Lagos Food Bank To Give Back To Ipaja Commun by leom007(m): 9:42am On May 11, 2020
In Nigeria, one out of every three people lives below the poverty line. And with the coronavirus pandemic wreaking havoc on the global economy, employed persons are slipping into the brackets of the unemployed, and the struggles of people in underserved communities with little or nothing to feed on have been compounded due to the government sanctioned lockdowns in COVID-19 hotspots.
[img][/img]
However, heeding to the call to provide relief for affected communities around Nigeria are itel Mobile and Lagos Food Bank, an NGO based in Lagos, Nigeria. United by the aim of reducing hardship worsened by the coronavirus, the smartphone for everyone brand, through its Love Always On CSR Initiative, and the NGO, reached the residents of Ipaja, Ayobo, and adjoining communities in Lagos state at a time when they needed it the most. Raw food and relief items were provided to the semi-urban community’s households as part of their relief efforts, and at the forefront of these efforts are a deep concern and care for their communities.

Commenting on the brand’s CSR campaign, Oke Umurhohwo, itel’s Marketing Communications Manager said:
“I am very proud to be a part of a brand who is giving back to the communities where we live and work. We know that this period is a tough one for many families because of the lockdown, and as such, we are happy that our CSR activities are able to give families a measure of relief. It's also worth noting that our CSR initiative themed: Love Always On will continue to impact lives, even after this pandemic has been thoroughly defeated.”

The joy on the faces of members of the community was a common theme throughout the hours long outreach. More than 20 volunteers gave up hours of their time to enrich the lives of Nigerians and this is something worth applauding.

Nairaland / General / Itel Mobile Donates Food And Relief Items To Lagos Households by leom007(m): 9:35am On May 11, 2020
With income streams running dry, unemployment and living standards are taking a deep dive. Nevertheless, there is a pressing need to assist affected persons and families who have lots of children as a little given willingly is much appreciated in these times.
In partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, itel Mobile, Africa’s most customer-centric brand and providers of affordable smartphone for everyone, has donated food and relief items to the Ipaja community and its environs in mainland Lagos, Nigeria. The gesture draws everyone, particularly the affluent, to the vital need to assist households hit by coronavirus-induced hard times.

The relief initiative is the smartphone for everyone brand’s modest contribution to taking care of the semi-urban community’s residents. Residents received raw food and relief items in the extensive outreach driven by itel Mobile’s long-standing “Love Always On” corporate social responsibility initiative. More than 20 volunteers generously committed several hours of their time to enrich the lives of Nigerians residing in the benefiting community. An act that deserves commendation.

According to Marketing Communications Manager (West Africa), itel Mobile, Oke Umurhohwo, the outreach is “a deliberate, impact-driven initiative that gives back to the vulnerable in a manner that shows that they are loved by others. It’s the brand’s way of helping families and children survive the tough times created by the pandemic.”
And in the words of Michael Sunbola, the President of the Lagos Food Bank Initiative, “This partnership comes from a place of impact. The Lagos Food Bank Initiative is indeed delighted to be on this laudable move initiated by itel Mobile to bring smiles to people’s faces at this critical time. It is not in doubt that the country needs more support from individuals and corporate organizations at this time, and itel Mobile has created an enabling template with this act of kindness.”

A joyous feeling endured throughout the duration of the outreach with beneficiaries holding out kind words for itel Mobile and Lagos Food Bank Initiative.
itel Mobile is keen on pursuing common good in major points of need for underserved communities. And this commendable initiative strengthens the drive as the world works on solutions to effectively combat the unseen enemy in the coronavirus pandemic.

Innovative ways to help us live a smart life are being birthed literally everyday by tech geniuses. One of these innovative ways propelled the existence of smartphones. No doubt, smartphones have gone on to make a large impact on our everyday activities; they have gone beyond their functional purposes of connecting people all around the globe and transcended to becoming our most inseparable personal items. And with an increase in its demand, OEMs are churning out smartphones, upgrade after upgrade, making them smarter and sleeker.
One of such flagship models launched this year is the itel S15 Pro. From the triple AI rear cameras to the 16MP AI selfie camera and its 6.1“ HD+ IPS Waterdrop FullScreen, this latest addition to itel’s Selfie series has proven to be one of the most innovative and affordable entry level selfie smartphones in the market. From the reviews online and reports gathered from customers’ feedback, you can rest assured that this device will give you great value for your money.

Imagine a smartphone that helps you manage your monthly data subscription because of its optimized AndroidTM 9 Pie OS tailored to boost data efficiency and management. The itel S15 Pro does have it all. It also operates on 1.6GHz Octa-Core processor backed by 2GB RAM+32GB internal storage for easy operation and multi-tasking.
However, the main highlight of this device is its spectacular cameras. The S15 Pro comes with triple AI rear cameras and dual rear cameras for its sibling, itel S15. The 8MP main camera helps to capture clear photos, while the assistant cameras create bokeh effects and detect scenarios for sharper pictures. The AI scenario detection function of S15 Pro supports up to 12 different scenarios- portrait, food, flower, pets, text, and many more.

The selfie camera on both devices are 16MP but they also come with different features to ensure you get quality selfies in lowlight while capturing the littlest facial details. These features are assisted by the 4-in-1 big pixel technology on the device that helps to take in more light for better quality and brighter shots, screen fill light technology for a balanced light source, and AI Face Beauty 3.0 to create beauty effects tailored to the user’s individual facial features.

Other features include dual 4G connectivity, face unlock feature, fingerprint sensor, amongst others, which are all summed up in a gradation purple finish.

For every itel smartphone you buy, there is total assurance that you are getting a trendy, reliable, and quality smartphone with the best features that you will just love.

itel S33 VS itel S15 Pro: To Upgrade Or Not To Upgrade?
When itel Mobile released itel S33, a groundbreaking selfie smartphone last year, we were thoroughly impressed with it. It was fast, sleek, and offered great value for the money spent on it. Even better, it has a stunning selfie camera that brings out the best and most beautiful version of you. However, this year’s S-series has a very interesting set of specifications that are just mindblowing. If you’re not careful, you just might end up cheating on the S33 with itel S15 Pro, the latest selfie smartphone from itel Mobile.

For starters, the itel S15 Pro is a selfie king with a 16MP AI front camera with inbuilt flash and triple AI rear cameras innovatively designed to capture clearer and brighter photos in lowlight scenarios. The AI cameras automatically recognize human faces and take artistic portraits whilst creating blurred background effects. This is as opposed to the 8MP camera lens on the S33. Thanks to the depth of the sensors, images shot in lowlight are crisp with natural colors, and the cameras do a decent job of detecting edges in portrait mode. Check out some images shot on the S15 Pro.

Interestingly, it comes with a 4-in-1 Big Pixel and Screen Fill Light technology which controls the amount of light needed for better image quality in both low and brightly lit scenarios. Also, for a flawless melanin look, the S15 Pro has the new AI Beauty Mode 3.0 to make your face look smooth, radiant, or even thinner.

Talking of the design and display, for the first time in the selfie series portfolio, the S15 Pro sports a 6.1“ HD Waterdrop Fullscreen which gives the device a stylish design you will love. The big screen offers a cinema-like experience for movie and game lovers. Book lovers are not left out either, as the device comes with adaptive brightness and blue ray eye protection, which makes reading in a brightly-lit environment less strenuous on the eyes.
Other embedded upgrades in the itel S15 Pro includes 2GB RAM + 32GB ROM, AndroidTM 9 Pie, dual 4G connectivity, face unlock feature, fingerprint sensor, amongst other great specs.
Good aesthetics, stunning cameras, great performance, affordability, reliability, and trendiness are what make the S15 Pro tick and you will discover that this is the best time to upgrade to this selfie king.

Phones / You All Have What You Desire! Here's Mine... by leom007(m): 11:19pm On Nov 02, 2019
EVERYONE HAS A MUSE: MINE IS THE NEW ITEL S15 PRO
THE NEW ITEL S15 PRO IS MY MUSE. HERE’S WHY
I love taking selfies. I don’t know why but I do. From pouting to duck face to teeth out, I can go all day taking beautiful selfie shots. But what makes my selfies so amazing to look at is the kind of device I use. So if you are just like me, and you want a real selfie smartphone with amazing specs, the itel S15 Pro is the right choice for you. The initial reviews about its stunning selfie camera came out really positive and being a selfie lover and tech enthusiast, I knew I had to get my hands on this device.
One thing I know about itel Mobile is that they don’t mess around with their smartphones: they are affordable, reliable, trendy and perform as excellently as most high-end smartphones. And like the customer-centric brand that they are, itel Mobile is concentrating on the S15 and S15 Pro’s camera features to suit the needs of selfie lovers at an affordable price.
If you would like to know what made me fall in love with this device, check just right below. Who knows, they might capture your heart as well.

First, let’s start with the camera…
The itel S15 Pro, other than being excellently good at taking bright selfies in low light scenarios or brightly-lit scenes with its 16MP front camera, also has a triple AI rear camera which comes with autofocus and bokeh effects for artistic shots.
The 8MP main camera captures clear and crisp photos, while the assistant cameras create bokeh effects and detect scenarios in order to output the perfect shot. The AI feature function of S15 Pro supports up to 12 different scenarios including portrait, food, flower, pets, text, etc. Also, it can identify texts on pictures as editable texts; it also supports print recognition of newspapers, business cards, and more. This helps to increase the efficiency of text entry and timely record of important information.

Next, an Android beauty…
The design on the itel S15 Pro is sleek with a vibrant display. This model was made to have a rather smooth and shiny finish - a look that you will find stylish and trendy. The screen size is 6.1”and has a Waterdrop FullScreen display for immersive viewing of your favourite movies, photos, games, and other media content. In terms of colour options, you will find the itel S15 Pro in Gradation Purple, an astonishing colour you will just love.

Other than having good camera capabilities, the itel S15 Pro also comes with 32GB of internal storage that you can expand by up to 128GB with a memory card. It runs on AndroidTM 9 Pie OS, has a fingerprint sensor, face unlock, and supports high-speed 4G Internet connectivity.
Guess what? I’m enjoying all these features for the sum of N29, 500 only. How cool is that?

Business / Brands Who Really Supported Nigerian Citizens by leom007(m): 11:05pm On Nov 02, 2019
These Brands are true to the Nigerian root.

Here’s why Check Out Some Brands That Have True Nigerian Roots.

Four Brands That Have True Nigerian Roots
Sometimes, you can’t help but wonder how a little child can mention the name of a brand off the top of their head or how some brand names have become the umbrella name for other products in their line.
If you are in doubt that there are brands that have localized themselves so well that Nigerians believe that life without these products would not be complete, here are four brands and products that have true Nigerian roots, and why I believe that they do;
1. UAC:

United Africa Company of Nigeria (UAC) which was founded in 1931, is indeed the first and real lifesaver. If you are a Nigerian and spend a lot of time in traffic then you know why this brand is on the list. The brand gave us the first ready to go sausage – the idea was most likely to make an easily accessible snack on-the-go, but if you have ever been in Lagos traffic, then you understand the saving power that Gala has when hunger comes knocking at your stomach’s door. This is not to say that there are no other similar brands in the market now, but Gala still remains the brand name for every single one of them. If you are in doubt, leave your house without eating, get affected by traffic and then see if you won’t be tempted to purchase a Gala or two. Don’t forget to come back to say thank you.

2. Pepsi:

The product made its debut in the Nigerian market in 1992 and you know for sure that this is more than just a carbonated drink. The brand has warmed its way into the hearts of Nigerians and has continued to make innovative moves to grow brand loyalty. Aside from creating the Pepsi longthroat bottle, which gave Nigerians more content at a flat rate of ₦100 – the brand has a Football Academy that helps groom young Nigerian talents.

3. itel Mobile:

Founded in 2007, the brand has, over the years, created trendy devices that are affordable, quality, and reliable. The brand has also made it clear through its “Love Always On” CSR initiative that it really cares about the development and betterment of the Nigerian society beyond making smartphones for everyone.
The brand has also been able to increase smartphone usage by providing functional smartphones at an affordable rate. So, low income earners can now enjoy premium smartphone features without breaking the bank.

4. Globacom

For all things right, this brand has made it on this list. Founded in 2003, when call rates were really on the high side, the brand came and gave Nigerians a new costing scheme that adjusted the operations of other telecommunication brands in the country.
It is safe to say that Glo broke the exploitation chain in Nigeria – with over 45 million subscribers, the brand was the first to build $800 million worth high-capacity fiber-optic cables known as Glo 1 in 2011, which was submarined from the United Kingdom to Nigeria. Also, the brand has over 3,800 employees – increasing the chances of Nigerians for a better living.

Phones / What You Don't Know About Itel Smartphone. by leom007(m): 10:55pm On Nov 02, 2019
When you take a glimpse into itel’s journey over a decade ago and how they stormed the Nigerian mobile market, it is safe to say this Africa’s mobile giant has always come through with some of the best and quality Android phones, including powerful flagships. They also provide a wide range of affordable smartphone options, which may be the perfect fit for you, taking into consideration your needs and budget.
For 2019, despite the influx of many smartphones from other OEMs, the smartphone maker has succeeded in creating a genuine alternative to other phones in both entry level and mid-range categories which are affordable, trendy and reliable. With that in mind, here are the headline-grabbing flagships and campaigns that itel wowed us with in 2019. Perhaps you might find your next favorite smartphone on this list:
itel P33| P33 Plus: The birth of the power heroes

Released earlier in the year, the itel P33 and P33 Plus continue to be one of the best smartphone options that cost less than 30,000 naira but still give you amazing specs including a strong battery life.
With a monster battery capacity and an AI Power Master, these devices are tailored to save your day, by ensuring your phone’s power never goes down. With a 4000mAh and 5000mAh battery respectively, the itel P33 and P33 Plus give more than enough value for the money used in purchasing it compared to the phones in that same space.
A refined, polished and attractive phone, the P33 Plus comes with a 6.0-inch IPS screen, dual rear camera, 8MP selfie camera, 1GB ROM+16GB ROM, Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition), fingerprint sensor, face unlock system, etc.
itel S15| S15 Pro: Revolution of the selfie culture

If you like taking selfies then the itel S15 and S15 Pro were specifically created for you. With a 16MP AI selfie camera and triple AI rear cameras with exceptional optics, every selfie taken on these devices come out looking crisp, clear and bright in lowlight or brightly-lit scenarios. This is possible thanks to the innovative screen fill light and 4-in-1 big pixel technology that enable a perfect output of every shot.
Don’t text and drive Nigeria: A CSR initiative

In response to the growing concern of road accidents, itel Mobile again proved itself as a brand that truly cares for its consumers beyond creating smartphones for everyone. By joining hands with LASTMA in April this year, the brand and LASTMA sensitized drivers on safe driving and road maintenance through physical demonstrations, interactive courses on safe driving, visual aids, and donations such as reflective jackets and caution stickers. This impactful campaign reached over 400 tricycles in the Ikeja, Lagos environs.
No more insufficient funds: A school teacher turned into an instant millionaire

itel’s commitment to putting a smile on the faces of their consumers continued with a mind-blowing turnaround for a teacher, Oyebola Saheed, who won a massive sum of N3.6 million naira in itel’s 10,000 dollars promo. The giveaway was a platform to enrich the lives of customers and for them to get additional value when they purchase itel Mobile’s power hero smartphones, itel P33 and itel P33 Plus, in any itel authorized retail store. Oyebola Saheed and two other lucky people became millions of naira richer due to itel Mobile’s love for their customers.
For the love of art: itel sponsored several cultural events
For the love of art, the brand encouraged creative minds from Nigeria to showcase their talents to the rest of the world by being a proud sponsor of Kaduna International Film Festival (KIFF) and a national Twitter writing contest tagged “Battle of the Inks”. Winners of the writing competition were rewarded with two itel S15 Pro smartphones and other gift items. This has paved the way for brands by beaming the spotlight on the impact of the creative industry in Nigeria.
In this year 2019, itel Mobile has strived to create an impactful presence in the Nigerian mobile market, but what is even more heartfelt is how the brand has proved that their consumers are pivotal to the organization's broad success, and have therefore paid full attention to the immediate needs and interests of these people. It is then safe to say that itel Mobile has wowed and will continue to wow their customers in coming years.
