safarigirl: Success hasn't remained. Granada is just a broke, useless team is all . Anyway, we'll see who's better from this tournament first just admit that u dislike him, and u re annoyed that he made the team!! |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 2:12am On May 28, 2015 |
Yeah I agree on that!! TheGoodJoe: That is when there is no standout player in overall play. In the last world cup, Toni Kroos was by far the best player overall but he had no goals. If Toni Kroos scored two goals in the finals, he would have picked the golden ball easily.
When standout players like Kroos do not score, they move to man of the match, goals and assist. |

Just 1 question, for all the players u mention which of them hasn't make Their senior team debut before going to u20?? TheGoodJoe: What of Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Aguero, Di Maria, Kaka, Pogba, Maradona, Anelka, Benzema, Nasri, Silva, Mata, Ozil, Alaba, Gotze, Muller, Forlan, Ronaldinho, Iniesta, Xavi, Pique, Tevez, Vidal, Sanchez, CR7, Ronaldo De Lima and many more that were kid stars and became world class super stars. |

TheGoodJoe: I disagree unless you have the stats to prove it. Stats like completed dribbles and passing accuracy. Any other thing is make up. What matters is that the committee set up picked him as the best player. That shows he was the best.
I wish we could dig up stats. mvp is mostly. Rated by. How many man of the match performance u u put in play |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 1:49am On May 28, 2015 |
Until he makes that debut, and remains there safarigirl: lol.....he's gotten to that stage already. You just refuse to acknowledge it. Maybe after he wins MVP at U20, you'll finally see it.
Or when he makes City first team and Isaac is still playing 'top flight' with quarter-to-relegation teams |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 1:48am On May 28, 2015 |
Get ur facts straight nah udinese has exceeded Their foreign quota is why he was loaned to another club also owned by Sam owners of udinese, or u didn't know same people owned udinese, Granada and Watford?? safarigirl: Iheanacho was scoring goals andd making assists at pre-season before eentering the EDS. He was playing against 'top flight' opponents. The call for a first team shirt started long before EDS.
It was his pre-season form that prompted the 'special talent' case, not EDS. In fact his EDS exploits only began after he returned from injury in stunning form. Before that, he was making Toure look washed up and is still making Dzeko look like shiiit
That Isaac went to an average club and got loaned out to a shitty club (cuz he didn't give the average club a reason to keep him) which makes him look like Messi does not make him better than KC in a top club who is about to achieve what Pogba dreams of |

Bros. Wa sare jor!! I think you can understand what I'm trying to explain, tbaba1234: And he took the next step in Bolton... You can't reach the next level without top flight football... Remember what Arsenal did with wilshere, after his loan spell at Bolton he improved tremendously.
The top flight football is vital for improvement |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 1:41am On May 28, 2015 |
Bros bojan was in class of his own, during his time, buh what happened later on? Ever heard of sergio araujo the young man tipped to be the next aguero 2day where is he? Oko Stanley was the most rated in the u17 class of 2009 buh between him and onazi who didn't even get upto two games whoz career is better of now? She is just sentimental that's all I still can't find the reason why she dislikes the young man though TheSuperNerd: Sir Leon... I get ur points. But let's stop the Nacho/Success comparisons ok. Safari girl's points are well noted also... I get d angle she's coming from as well as urs. Putting both ur points 2geda I'll simply say this... Success has the 'big games' experience coz he's faced top players in la liga but Nacho is by far the most technically gifted super talent in the Super Flying Eagles. Next to Nacho, in terms of Technical balance and giftedness is Musa Yahaya. Even AWO isn't far off technically. He's up there with the best alongside Success, Matthew, Bulbwa, Simon Moses, Sokari, Nwakali and Ezeh. Every other player follows suit... Like I've always said, Nacho stands in a super class of his own. And so does Success... |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 1:33am On May 28, 2015 |
I don't need to go to those lent to prove my point, Fran merida was once a classic player with do youth team, same as bojan, I'm not arguing with u on whoz better and who is not,I'm only telling you to state the fact where it needs. Be stated, for success would definately be rated ahead nacho, same as. Simon moses not until nacho gets to that stage where he shows the world that he ready to take them by storm safarigirl: oya you that has taken the time, tell me how many goals he has scored.
You keep repeating 'academy'....Mind you, Kelechi has also impressed in pre-Season against the likes of Kansas City, Atletico and Liverpool. He was easily City's stand out player during pre-season.
The fact that he hasn't been loaned out and instead is the top prospect for first team next season, a first team Paul Pogba is still looking to break into, should make any sane coach rate him higher than Success. Hell, if you asked 10 top coaches right now to choose, at least 6 would take Iheanacho over Success. That boy is in a class of his own
Don't just tell me Success has scored goals. Give me videos. Let's compare them to those of Iheanacho side-by-side. Attacking midfielder vs Forward.
Y'all keep shouting Success up and down yet nobody has a clip of his games. Not a compilation mind you, just one game highlights. I mean one of recent. Show me a reason to rate him cuz all these ones na mouth |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 1:25am On May 28, 2015 |
If. He was right? Now he is not with them, he is. With Granada playing in one of the best leagues in the world against the 2 best players the world has ever seen, until kelechi plays for a senior team, success is still rated above. Him TheGoodJoe: I disagree with you. A player like Dennis Suarez is a bigger star than Isaac Success in the La Liga. Last season, he was with the Man City EDS.
If Success was at Man City, he would play with the EDS not the main team. |
Sports › Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 10:30pm On May 27, 2015 |
Have u taken ur time to find out how many goals he scored with the few times he played with the Bteam? And if u re coach you'd rate a player who has featured in one of the best league in the world below sum1 who has only featured. For an academy?miss I'm sorry to say this again this thing of urx is now more than just making a point, iheanacho might be better and has brighter future ahead buh truth be told for now above him safarigirl: how many goals has he scored? Abi no be human beings dey score against those ones? Are they God?
Even the technicality of Iheanacho's goals beats whatever Success does.
He played against Messi, Ramos, Pique.....that makes him better than who? Was Messi not scoring awesome goals against the greats when he started? Did any of the guys Isaac played against ever come out to say "The boy is good"?
Please don't give me that line of who he played against. Tell me how many awesome goals he scored whether against Messi or some deadbeats afterall Granada only played Barca twice the entire season and Isaac was in Team B at a point |

safarigirl: no offence, but Iheanacho over Isaac Success anyday. *awaiting list of the next James Rodriguez* iheanacho who has only played for mancity's eds over success who has played against messi, ronaldo, sergio ramos and pique to name but a few, shey if I talk again now u go say I talk. I don dey watch. U since oh! |

Except Awo baby gets a red/is in danger of getting a red or he's flat out injured, Success will have to keep coming off the bench throughout the tournament |

Yeah thanks I understand, wish u well in your endeavours!! safarigirl: it's all good. We all have different purposes in life, that we steer away from some doesn't mean there isn't some other greater purpose we're heading to
I'm studying law, but that's not really my passion, so some day, I hope to study journalism for masters and then I can use my degree for sports journalism or sometthing.
You just have to find your purpose |

Lol was only joking though, I have always. Admired is. Seriousness, if I was half as serious as he is maybe be I wouldd have been in this team as well, safarigirl: no, his seriousness is very okay. If not for that seriousness, he would've ended up like Okon when you factor names like Moses, Success and Iheanacho.
In fact, it is that seriousness that took him away from street football to the main stage and that seriousness wil be the determinant if he'll finish like Mikel or Kanu. Seriousness is good ejo |

Lol I understand u well buh Bros sometimes over seriousness dey wound. Oh! Headlamp1: The boy had 5 straight A1s in his WAEC. When I did mine I had 2 or 3 can't remember. He definitely knows what it means to focus. And he knows how vast a consistent fruit of daily hard work can blossom especially for someone with an already smart brain. I can clearly read his mindset.
I watched his improvement from the U17 and that rate must be over 200% improvement. I can boldly say that everyone should prepare for a top class, prolific striker, playing for big clubs by 2018.
Amen.
