One thing many of us don't understand is this, in a national team tournament, u don't change the wining team u only make adjustments when the team does not play to u taste, I'm sure we remmember Spain in 2010? Del bosque only changed his line up when he lost the 1st match, and they started every match with same line up, till they worn they, so if manu, decides to do same then I'm in support of him, I know if we convert our chances we'll definitely be victorious...

The only problem I'm having with Nigerians is that we never agree to the fact, Bros make we no lie if we play Germany same way we played Korea, that 1st half will decide the full game ah swear, n I told sum1 that if akinjide did not start that 1st match there was going to be problem in that middle, thank God I have been vindicated, and for the guy that said iheanacho should not be played because he doesn't mark, the simple reason argentina lost to Germany in the world cup final Is becos messi had to mark in the 2nd half becos lavezzi was taken off, a free role player is not suppose to mark a lot, becos he needs the strenght for to fight when he gets the ball, and to me with just akinjide in the team that played Brazil, we would have score Korea like 6, to the guy who said succes is a yoruba boy! Correction hez an Edo boy!

Lol abeg we be edo oh!!
AIG07:
Tribalism? Pls don't bring that into this team. This team is one of d best nigeria team have seen that is not base on sentiment. By d way success too is a yoruba guy.

tbaba1234:
Happy idowu is back, expect a better defensive display even though we should beat north korea. Idowu is disciplined.. Ifeanyi ifeanyi was too forward minded.

Bros u no need to talk 2 much, I don talk am even before the match!!
lexyman:
Bro just listen to yourself self . U said they need midfieders who can give passes to a reliable striker ? If u read my comment throughly , I said d role of Idowu would have been to shield d defense and this will allow d midfielders to play their role well . I ve been following this team since their under 17 and Idowu has been a pivot to the team . It was nau tactics that failed him , he had d intention of playing pure attacking football , and if u look at Ifeanyi Mathew and Ifeanyi ifeayi. They do well in attacking more , their role majorly is to lob balls to d attack line also create chances but the style failed manu .
I hope next match will not be dsame

Tbaba hope you don see why I say if no akinjide no fullbacks should overlaphuh One thing I don't like about we Nigerians is that, we always bow to sentiment, if u noticed for a while now I have not posted on this thread, becos I was scared sumtin like this would happen, ever since I saw that possible line up, playing two top nine at same time will always have an effect on the midfield, and safari have u seen that playing in the AYC is a lot different with playing in the WYC? I'm not that suprised though cos I know sumtin like this might happen manu fall hands this time I swear.
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 7:43pm On May 29, 2015
We all look buh see differently, I saw him buh didn't notice much about him
gbosaa:
Even with his head split open and with a heavy bandage on subsequent matches? You still didn't noticed him?
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 7:13pm On May 29, 2015
I be no wan talk oh! Ehen, I didn't say he was better oh, I only said the people who rated him as part of the 9 players to watch out for where not wrong, I still no wan talk now after our 1st 3 matches we go kontinu
safarigirl:
my initial issue with him was sorted out when Chidera and Godwin made the team. Consequently someone said he's better than KC and my 'Hold up bitch'es' button was set off grin
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 6:51pm On May 29, 2015
Truth be told I didn't really notice, him during the AYC buh if manu thinks he can do the job better than jide, then who am I to question his decision.
gbosaa:
Ifeanyi Ifeanyi is sacrifice personified. He is a very hard worker, technical, mobile, hard and he was the one with a bandaged head during the AYC.

The only fault I find with him is that sometimes he dribbles and gets carried away. Sometimes he is over confident and attempts silly things in dangerous areas, other than that, I think he combines well in the midfield with the likes of Mathew and co.

He is good in wriggling out of awkward and tight spaces and he has the vision to distribute the ball once out of that confinement.
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 4:16pm On May 29, 2015
I think its part of the game plan, provided he has some one to cover up all loose ends, like busquets does for alves and alba!!
linked:
Like seriously.. He needs to be cautious in overlapping. . His overlappings has cost them conceding some goals before
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 3:59pm On May 29, 2015
I'm not sure. He would sacrifice. Him self for the team like akinjide does!
tbaba1234:
Ifeanyi Ifeanyi will play that role
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 3:36pm On May 29, 2015
tbaba1234:
Samm Audu is the media officer of the team so it might be true
Bros if akinjide does not start in that blocking 4 then musa Mohammad should just 4get about overlapping
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 12:31pm On May 29, 2015
Yeah I see your observation, buh I'm not talking about the boys instead I'm talking about the coach, for every national team to succeed sombody has. Be working on the players behind and the players need to play together for long before any tournament, can u call. Any team where there are two. Nigerians. Playing together and playing regularly?? What I'm trying to say in essence is this, coach SE is always going to be dificult, cos u have a lot to do in just a short time
rabzy:
Our national team has had mediocre players for many years. How can our senior team players not be able to control the ball once. They often need need to 3 touches before the ball is controlled. Some would control and the ball would be 3 to 5 yards away from them. After the eagles of 90s and early 2000, there was hardly any team again just a few good players. Our league does not bring out the best in people neither does it recruit the best. These boys were snapped before they could be thrown into that mincer or possibly not even noticed at all.
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 8:24am On May 29, 2015
African players see football as a job, others see it as just a game!!
tbaba1234:
African players don't manage success well. Look at Omeruo. He will soon be offloaded by chelsea.

Does anyone remember njemba njemba?

It is important that these boys continue to remain focused on the careers even when they get to a big club or start making money. Look at Messi and Ronaldo, they continue to maintain a high standard.
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 8:20am On May 29, 2015
One thing some guys don't understand is this, coaching a national team, is a lot more dificult than coaching an age grade side, I'm not saying this to justify keshi, buh u got to realise that coaching a a senior national team full of proffesional, we will all clamour for those who command 1st team shirt in Their respective teams. Knowing fully well that they will likely be released late, manu is a good coach no doubt but he will struggle with the super eagles job beacus he would not have enough time to make the players play as he wants them to, immagine, the reason. Behind the success of most national side, is either dey have a good team in Their league which dey can draw players from or majority of Their players plays for big teams in Europe where they have two or more of Their national team mate playing together. Del basque is a very good coach but we all know the man and team behind Spain 2010 success (Pep and barca) low is also a good coach, buh would u deny that Pep and bayern had no influence in germany's world cup wining team? Like I said I'm not saying this to defend keshi buh Nigeria we still have. A long way to go!!

So what if we suggest now, u pruposse e no come romantic reach, she go come say No the u go propuse again? Bros you've proved your point already just let the sleeping dog lie, abeg, it is clear that goodjoe is a city fan and safari girl dislikes success for no reason make the matter just end abeg nah me start am make I still end am
tbaba1234:
Those teams were laced with people already in the first team not just under 21s
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 2:48am On May 28, 2015
Can u list the players that played alongside caroll in new castle?? My dear this arguement is becoming baseless, let's just leave it at that and wish them all a great tournament
safarigirl:
I don't know him enough to dislike him. I dislike that he's being hyped on past glory. I mean,.the way y'all were going on about him, I expected far more than wjt I just watched.

Moses Simon is probably better than Success, but since his hype is based on most recent performance, I have no issues. A great player in a useless team will be noticed. Andy Carrol was noticed in Newcastle, why isn't the awesome Success being noticed? Moses camee on and transformed Gent to Champions too.

Until I have a reason to rate him, I won't
SportsRe: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Leon2036(m): 2:26am On May 28, 2015
I think u just have to explain that to safari girl, for now the man with the first team cap is suppose to be rated above just like neymar and moura where rated above simple
TheGoodJoe:
I do not get the logic of the question. We are talking of kid superstars tipped to achieve greatness. Nacho would have played for the Super Eagles if not his contract issues with City.

Nacho had a good opportunity this season but his injury hindered his chance for City to get his work permit and signed Bony to cover the injured striker.

Man City is excited with Nacho. Including the senior players. They do not see him as a future superstar. They see him as the next Messi.

A player like Neymar played the South American U20 tournament and was by far ahead of his peers including Lucas Moura. The head coach pulled them from the U20 squad and brought them to the National team. That is why Oscar went and won the best player of the team.

Some hypes fail to live up to expectations but many make it.
