Already they hav shutdown their ATM networks. All my efforts to withdraw for my GTB bank account was abortive. Now short of cash. May God librate us frm all these problems that we are facing in this country.
Thanks for the info.
First thing tomorrow morning, will rush and withdraw some money

First back started on Friday. Expect zenith bank next

Just wondering, will this affect ATM services as well as online services? Both require Internet access as well as cooling units for the machines and servers. If the banks can't work because of lack of electricity and ISPs having the same fate, do I have to withdraw my money for easier access?
Politics › Re: The Psychological Effect Of The Fuel Scarcity On Nigerians by Leopantro: 5:40pm On May 24, 2015
Setaje:
My dad na sure man. We still have more than 200 litres of petrol at home. Popsy dey always plan ahead and he knew that there would be serious fuel scarcity. Infact he has said that we should expect more after Buhari enters because he is sure they will remove fuel subsidy. This will not go down well wiv labour union because they will say why should they remove fuel subsidy wiv no increment of salary and our law makers would still be earning very high income. That is where another problem will start. There is no way Buhari will want to continue paying that subsidy. So my advise is, after this one people should go and buy enough kegs at home and store so u don't be caught unawares. The days of fuel scarcity is back.
200 ltrs?! Please, where do you live? Just drop the co-ordinates and I will find the storage, I mean your address using Google Earth.
Thank God for NL, would not have known about the rising cost of fuel and the hardship going on. Rush out this morning and bought 50 ltrs at 140. Was fuming at the cost but on reading the comments on NL went back to fill my car.
Thank God I did. Just passed the same station and it's now 160.

Haven't had electricity in a week. Bought three rechargeable small fans that cost about N1000 and attached USB cables to them. They now run off power banks after the inner battery dies. Working on something that will make energy saving bulbs run of finger batteries.
Starting from this week, some banks will work part time due to lack of diesel.
The situation will not break me.

Why don't you learn it yourself and start making money.
Go to www.ifixit. com and learn how to repair the following
1. Mac computers
2. Tablets
3. Phones
4. Computers
5. Game consoles
6. Cameras

You can go through YouTube for detailed videos on anything you want.

After watching an electrician replace a blown fuse in my xbox, for which I had to pay him N5000, I bought a soldering iron and a voltmeter and now replace it myself.

zendy:
Some people may not know it but King Jaja of Opobo was an Igbo slave from Orlu in present day Imo state who was sold into slavery. I read somewhere that they still speak some form of Igbo in Opobo.
He's not from Orlu, he's from Amaigbo in Nwangele LGA. I have personally been to his village where he was kidnapped and sent to Opobo. Saw massive pots and slave chains used in the slave period. A former minister of foreign affairs, Prof Walter ofonagoro is from there. It's about 45 minutes drive from Owerri. Because he had such a great legacy in Opobo, people from Opobo love visiting his home town.

Have seen cases where the girl will claim she's a Virgin and she had massive fibroid while the babies head is coming out of her.

Politics › Re: Rochas Okorocha Declared Winner Of Imo State Governorship Election by Leopantro: 8:25am On Apr 26, 2015
incrediblestev:
I would have been surprised if Rochas Okorocha didn't win this election, the man has one thing going for him his education policy. Rochas has strong die hard supporters in Imo state who benefit enormously from his free education policy especially to the tertiary level, that feat is unheard of anywhere in this country, he got people like my uncles hooked on his cool aid through that one singular move.

Yes Rochas is cunning and an actor, a pretender and all but you can not deny the fact that he is a way better performer than any of the PDP hotheads, Emeka Ihiedioha obviously is your typical Nigerian politician, Imo would have suffered heavily under his leadership. As much as I am weary of the APC, I am still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, Rochas is still the man to beat in Imo state, he has strong grassroots support, he is charismatic and knows how to get everyone involved in his government.

Only a lier will deny the man's effort and achievement in Imo state, the last time Imo state had the level of developmental projects this government is engaged in was during Sam Mbakwe's time. The rest have been mediocre lots, from Undenwa to Ohakim.

And by the way, Rochas is a way better Politician than Amaechi. Amaechi just does not know how to choose his battles and cares too much about his own interests than everyone else's. It was so obvious that Rivers state can not and will not go the Amaechi way, he is still a toddler in Rivers state politics and is yet to learn that he can not win people over by being too openly confrontational to people who had once helped you to get to power. Even the likes of Tinubu and Buhari will make sure they keep him at bay, he is more of a rabble rouser and a rebel than a sleek politician that can add anything to the people.

While Rochas was busy testing the waters with his APC experiment, he made sure he didn't lose the touch of the people and his grip on the local politics of his state, he made sure that imolites did not get the wrong message that he had abandoned the state to follow Buhari and Tinubu about like a lost puppy. Amaechi got it all wrong in his case, his open confrontations with the President's wife, Wike who was very instrumental in both his reelection and his court won gubernatorial position from Omehia. He made sure he alienated everyone and even ordinary Rivers people, the result was the massive no they gave at both polls. It is unfortunate that election was destroyed for Peterside by Amaechi, not that he stood any chance against Wike anyway but he let Amaechi overtake his opportunities and brought all the baggage he has with him.
Blessed be this comment, because it shows intellectual reasoning

Health › Texas Based Doctor Calls For Igbo Massacre, Goes Into Hiding by Leopantro(op): 9:39pm On Apr 21, 2015
Dr. Abraham Ariyo called for the massacre of Igbos in Nigeria the way Nigerians are being killed in South Africa.
Dr. Abraham Ariyo wrote on Facebook:
“You see how they (the Igbos) are being slaughtered in South Africa. That’s what’s going to happen to them in Lagos…When are they (the Igbos) not going to be slaughtered in Abuja?…God might have put a curse on them (the Igbos)…We will continue to bus them (the Igbos) to Onitsha.” – Dr. Abraham Ariyo
Dr. Adeniran Ariyo is a cardiologist in Dallas, Texas and is affiliated with Dallas Regional Medical Center. He received his medical degree from University of Ibadan and has been in practice for 27 years. He is one of 10 doctors at Dallas Regional Medical Center who specialize in Cardiovascular Diseases.
Following general outcry on social media, Dr Ariyo has gone into hiding. He has removed all his pictures on Facebook and deleted his post.
But unfortunately for him, his words had already been print screened by sharp eyed Nigerians outraged by his callous statements.
Elombah.com learnt his Texas employers has been inundated with complaints following below mobilisation on facebook:
URGENT APPEAL TO STOP A GENOCIDAL XENOPHOBE
My Igbo brothers and indeed anyone that looks remotely like an Igboman, it’s only a tree that hears they want to cut him down and it will just stand there!
As Dr. Adeniran Abraham Ariyo has spewed unimaginable hate speech against us, we have to do something, the RIGHT thing. We cannot responsd to hate speech with hate speech, no we can’t, we are above such pettiness. There is a better more productive way to help authorities involved take care of such horrendous risk to human existence.
Here is the link to lay a complaint to Texas Medical Board, the organization with jurisdictional powers over the hate-speech doctor. Let us tell them the VERY POTENT RISK this man is to the life of humans. Also ask them to investigate all incidents, accidents and near miss involving him since he started practicing with a view to determining the true position of things and deter others with such Nazi-tendencies from doing like him.
http://www.tmb.state.tx.us/page/place-a-complaint
If you have some chips, follow up your complaint with a call to same Texas Medical Board through these numbers:
+1 800-201-9353
+1 972 223 0550
When you are done with a strong worded complaint to the board above, head over to the Genocide Prevention agency below and send a passionate SOS to them. Tell them the hate-speech doctor needs be reminded IN THE STRONGEST TERMS POSSIBLE that human life is sacred.
http://www.genocideprevention.eu/
I implore anyone with regards to human life to help us out on this.
Please do this for yourself, your Igbo partner, fiance, boyfriend, girlfriend, family friend. Let all humans with blood running in their vein help us tell this man and his likes that GENOCIDE IS EVIL! ?#?SayNoToXenophobia?
A campaign was also launched on CHANGE.ORG stating:
Investigate a Dallas-based cardiologist, Dr. Adeniran Abraham Ariyo who called for xenophobic attack against Igbos the way foreigners were violently attacked in South Africa.
So far 137 persons have signed the petition.

After intensive research, I have been able to create a home cyber Cafe. Came across two methods actually and with a wifi repeater I recently got, I've been able to start up portable business. However, still working on android version. Only option is to install Linux and install the packages.
Below is the screenshot of the home screen of my captive portal.
Also completed the device that converts any old TV into an android system. Can even use it on those portable DVD machines. But it's not financially feasible ; cost about 18k to make.

It has to be within the range of your wifi. Think of it as Xender or nairaland for people in a department or building. Everyone joins the chat room and distribute materials.

But I'm looking at the bigger picture. Currently working on creating a home Internet Cafe through which I can sell and monitor data to those in my location. Using piratebox as a wifi repeater to extend the range of my wifi AP. Modifying the html files in piratebox is not easy but working on it.
Should be ready by next week

At worst I will install a light Linux distro into the phone
