If you are talking about the sciences/engineering building in UNILORIN, it cannot be compared with those in IFE. Yes, those structures are old, and are still magnificent in this age, the reason why the school is great.

you have been undressed here about your village school. i am sure there are many graduates of ilorin on this forum but they can't be making bold-faced lies like you are doing painting ilorin as abu dhabi.

unilorin rocks? i am sure it does but there are levels of rocking. i will let you know when okija starts visiting 3rd-tier schools like ilorin where you can find rams, goats and chickens roaming on the campus.

The original poster opened this thread about IFE only because he was there. He was not in Ilorin, else he would have posted pictures.

Meanwhile, the thread is about building design, architectural piece and serene environment not about data base or academic session.
I lived in Ilorin for three years, worked closely with Prof Oloyede (then VC) and Ayorinde (DVC-acad). If you must argue about structures, UNILORIN cannot be compared with IFE, that is an attempt at environmental suicide.

Though Oloyede tried his best to put the school in shape constructing buildings within short space of time, yet that school cannot and can never attain IFE in structures and planning.

Please stop this comparison with IFE, it is a slap on us.

i bet they pulled down all the structures in your school and simply built new ones. one campus or 6 campuses is theory - it does not change the physical description of your school.

i know it hurts your school sucks - not one person has supported your claim here but dozens of people have supported the OP's stance that ife is the most beautiful in the whole nigeria.

i have been to about 12 federal universities in nigeria and i am afraid, your school is the worst of the lot. even FUTA has better architectural designs than ilorin. how did i know about your mini campus & main campus if i hadn't been in your school?

does my schooling abroad prevent me from visiting federal schools in nigeria or what's exactly your point about hearsays? you don't even strike me as an undergraduate - i hope you are not a pepper merchant faking to be an ilorin student. your points are weaker than bin laden's heart condition.

besides, if i had schooled in nigeria, i would have gone to OAU. i got their admission letter cos i wrote UME in nigeria. all my first cousins & 2nd cousins went to OAU - it's the standard where i hail from so stop chatting nonsense.

i did not bring my alma mata into this thread cos all the schools in africa put together cannot compete with my school. however, OAU still shytes on your school and the shyte is the watery type so shut up and listen.

coogar: first class is easier to get in ilorin than OAU where most of their lecturers are old school types. they don't compromise and they are not interested in money or sëx - they just want to frustrate their students and draw sweat & blood from them.

my cousin did geology in OAU.... there's a course GLY201(one of the hardest courses on the planet) that is a pre-requisite to all his 2nd semester courses. if you fail that course, then you cannot register in your second semester - which automatically means an extra session.

you want to compare that to ilorin? a school where anybody can get into and run with their top grades under 4 years? my friend, go and sit down o. when okija is doing his photography on polytechnics & college of education, you can come back & talk about ilorin.

personally, i think ilorin should be stripped off his federal university status & converted to a state polytechnic.

60,000 out of the 1.5 million that write JAMB? that's very low in percentage. if 60,000 choose ilorin, i can bet more than 600,000 would choose OAU. this is a school where academic brilliance is top priority - they do not compromise. what's the comparison between ife & ilorin?a first class student in ilorin would be lucky to make 2nd class lower in ife. what do you take ife for? a handout university like ilorin? the reason many are stuck there is because they keep getting carryovers and ife will not graduate them until they pass.
