PoliticsRe: Photos Of The Depleted State Of Villages And Creeks In The Niger Delta Area by letibab(f): 6:55pm On Jul 28, 2015
Jesus, if this were in the west, the culprits would be fined tons of billions of dollars in addition to cleaning it up.

I hope the local oil thieves that masqueraded as militants had no hand in this awful mess!

Nigeria government should wake up and fine those companies heavily.

You have to be reasonable. If all the oil companies leave, will you be the producer? Check and see the fear of US in ISIS fight is for ISIS not to get hold of crude oil.

Niger Delta can get any weapon they want with crude exchange. They can even get it from US.

By the time SHELL property is blown up, others will run or risk been kidnapped for exchange of weapon.

PoliticsRe: Boko Haram Can No Longer Confront Nigerian Soldiers – Major General by letibab(f): 10:44pm On Jul 26, 2015
It is an act of desperation that makes Boko Haram resorts to using innocent small girls to kill other innocent civilians. No logic to it.
Tracing their sponsors is a task that Nigeria must fulfilled.

Buhari liberated a town captured from GEJ government by BH.

Instead of being happy you are disappointed?

Almost every politician promised to stay for a tenure but what happened @ the end, some started looking for a 3rd tenure. So why should GEJ's case be different? Infact tell me a Nigerian politician from 1999 - date that only did 1 term in office and had an opportunity of going for another but didn't take the offer or exercise his right/power?

If the constitution says he's eligible, let him contest. If majority don't like him, then let the majority prove it by voting him out and not by threatining fire and brimstone if Mr President gets a PDP ticket
He got a PDP ticket and lost ignominiously!

The same war veteran Buhari should bring his might and experience to bear on Boko haram first, then we can see how far the rabbit hole goes. Insurgency is a different ball game from conventional war, if in doubt ask the Americans what they saw in Iraq.
The Nigerian Military had dealt MEND militants blows before.
Nothing has changed.
Militants still inhabit the creeks and along oil pipelines.
So to find and eliminate them is easy.

You can't handle obvious truth.
The truth here is that MEND militants are just kid's glove compared with Boko Haram, which Nigerian Military have overwhelmed in all the cities they had captured from GEJ.
Even their Sambisa hideout has become too hot for them as the Nigerian Military juggernaut continues its assault on their last stronghold.

Buhari is yet to decimate ragtag boko haram, taking on the experienced militants would be a battle too severe to contemplate. Time to start planting cocoa and groundnut.
No cowardly MEND militant is willing to be used as a suicide bomber, unlike fearless Boko Haram.

BH were able to capture and hold Nigerian territories under GEJ, a feat MEND has never achieved.
Rather MEND tucked tails and ran to hide among civilians, women and children.

In fact MEND cannot even match BH in any shape or form, let alone take on the Nigerian military juggernaut
PoliticsRe: This Statement By Buhari Can Set Nigeria On Fire (Video Update) -Oche Joseph O by letibab(f): 1:26am On Jul 24, 2015

‎It was Carl Shurz who said that  " you cannot subvert your neighbours rights without striking a dangerous blow at your own.
‎The Niger delta and by extension the South South south East Geo- political zone produce over 90% Of Nigeria's crude.

Till date crude oil Export still account for over 80% of Nigeria's export earnings.

Taking a critical look at the lopsided nature of recent appointments ,the complex "ethnoreligioous" composition   of the Nigerian state, this statement by General Buhari can set the nation of Fire

“Going by election results, constituencies that gave me 97% can not in all honesty be treated, on some issues, with constituencies that gave me 5%. I think these are political realities. While, certainly there will be justice for everybody but the people who voted, and made their votes count, they must feel the government has appreciated the effort they put in putting the government in place. I think this is really fair”

President Muhammadu Buhari.
22.07.2015.

The President must desist from sectionalising   the country and   see himself as father to all , Yes it is correct to reward support but openly coming out to tell a region that accounts for 90 % of your earning that they will be "punished" for voting for your opponent who incidentally is thier son,  is a recipe for anarchy and return to the days of lawlessness just that this time it will come with the blessings entire states and communities.

The North gave President Jonathan the least number of votes in 2011 but the North benefited the most from the Jonathan administration.
Over 402 Almajiri schools were built , the First High speed rail in sub-Saharan Africa went to the North , Massive rice cultivation and empowerment of Northern rice Farmers , 9 of the 11 brand New Universities established by President Jonathan were located in the North, the contract for the Mambila Hydro electric plant is the biggest contract awarded by the Jonathan Administration .

Inflicting more pain  on the South South after the defeat of their Son by Almajiri votes in the words of Gov Kwankwaso  leaves much to be desired.

May God Continue to Bless Nigeria and Nigerians!

Shalom!!!!!

killing innocent civillian scores no point in wars. Nigeria army has neva won any war on dia own, all dey do is cowardly attack civillian targets. They will neva win boko haram without foreign assistance, they wud nt hav won Biafra if nt 4 foreign assistance. U dnt win a war by wasting harmles civillians
Is Boko Haram producing its own weapons? Are they not relying on foreign support as well? BH have lost grounds and have desperately resorted to guerrilla warfare against civilians.

America the super power has learnt a hard lesson in the hands of Afghan guerrillas. So, give Nigeria credit.

Was Biafra not supported by foreign governments?

MEND militants wear no uniforms. They cowardly operate among civilians.
If civilians allow armed thugs to be part of their community, you can't fault the Army if there are collateral damages.

PoliticsRe: 5 Gains Of President Buhari's US Trip - Fulanimafia by letibab(f): 11:54pm On Jul 23, 2015
fulanimafia:
I was enveloped with utter amazement and disbelief at the baseless sentiments being peddled on this forum by members of the opposition, that the recent US trip embarked upon by President Buhari was entirely fruitless and a waste of resources. That assertion could have been correct and be categorized as a product of sanity if not for the following facts:

1. PMB honoured an invitation.

The first point to note President Buhari did not just embark on the trip for sightseeing or primarily to go and seek for weapons, but the visit was in honour of President Barrack Obama’s invitation on the strength of our president’s local and international goodwill. Thus international goodwill is as a result of the president’s acclaimed integrity, discipline and incorruptibility. This goodwill largely accounted for the way Buhari and his entourage were accommodated in Blair’s House, which serves as a site for “American Diplomacy” during the visit. This shows the esteem with which Buhari is held on account of this goodwill considering the fact that previous visiting Nigerian leaders never had such luxury treatment.
http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/185645-obama-invites-buhari-to-white-house.html

2. External Support for Policy Formulation & Execution

Indeed international partners had a rare opportunity to engage Nigeria on a new beginning given the fact that ministers are yet to be appointed and key policies are still being worked out, their input would definitely contribute to the shaping of this new governments policies, which would also make it more likely that we will have their full support in the execution of such policies. The input from potential investors and Biz executives at the recent meeting with Buhari in Washington is a case in point.
http://sunnewsonline.com/new/buhari-woos-american-businessmen-to-invest-in-nigerian-economy/

3. Diplomatic Ties

There are also diplomatic consequences of the visit. It has the prospect of strengthening diplomatic relations of both countries. Obama has never visited Nigeria in his almost eight-year-tenure. This is not too good for the image of Nigeria as the greatest black African Nation. Buhari’s visit may have provided a convenient platform for Obama to reciprocate the gesture by undertaking a visit to Nigeria in no distant future.
http://www.voanews.com/content/boosting-us-nigerian-ties-heart-obama-buhari-meeting/2866827.html

4. Recovery of Foreign Loot
Nigeria also requires assistance in retrieving stolen wealth stashed in some American commercial banks or covert agencies. There are strong indications and suggestions that some of these loots have been deployed in the purchase of expensive and expansive estate in Washington D.C. and its environs particularly the State of Maryland. As a result of this visit, the United States said it will assist Nigeria in locating and returning funds stolen by corrupt government officials.
http://uk.reuters.com/article/2015/07/19/uk-usa-nigeria-idUKKCN0PT03R20150719

The expectation is that the president’s latest visit to the US has marked a good beginning for the realisation of Nigerian’s vast potential. As noted by Obama, Buhari came into the office with a reputation of integrity and a clear agenda on corruption and Boko Haram insurgency including fixing the economy and infrastructure, therefore I call on members of the opposition to realize that months of wailing will not return Jonathan, so they should join hands with all Nigerians to achieve these objectives for the betterment of our nation.
Quite true.

@ ambac2bust, you have made a poor job out of this hatchet work.

While you are yapping, details of the theft of a mind-bugling $150 billion by Jonathan's government are surfacing here and there.
These details are being collated preparatory to sending him and his misters to the dungeon.

Sebi you never hear sey him and his missus don offer to return some money wey dem take by 'mistake'?
