Would not worry about expediting your PR card you don't need it for much. Your COPR would substitute.
Most banks would waive fees for about a year for new immigrants People say RBC may be best for new immigrants. You may want to call the customer care and ask what is currently on offer at a couple of the banks before deciding.
Don't shy away from Credit cards if offered, particularly from the banks take the highest limit you are offered. It would help to build your credit.

Come with your driving history from naija so you can be issued a G1 driving lisence. Then you take driving lessons and do the test then get G2.
Then buy your car and sign up for Uber. be sure to get the right vehicle though.

I don't think you should be worried about that kind of discrimination. If there is, it would be a small percentage and likely by a small company.

On proof of fund being locked when you submit your request. I do not think that is true. I know someone that got ADR for POF when the rates moved against him.
Having funds in dollar acct is fine. Note however that it cannot be fixed as investment if it is paid in as cash. Only direct inflows from swift can be fixed as investment.
As per transferring money from your acct to your Dads acct so you can get it transferred to you is good. It would mean you do not need to upload statements from that acct.
It is advisable to provide statement of acct showing salary inflows. It serves as additional verification for your source of fund. Though some people do not and they don't have issues. I don't like taking chances with VOs.
You do not need to provide your pension statement of you are not using it for POF. I do not understand why you are not using it though.
It is better to open and use a USD acct than a CAD. I say this cos the black market exchange rate for CAD is a bit funny.
As per attaching statement of acct in addition to investment certificate. Yes. It's a good idea.

My advice to you is to stick to one address. Your spouses address and yours should be the same. Some Visa officers raise issues on what should not be an issue. I know of two applications that had ADR severally on this simple issue of different address.

I think refused entry is quite different from visa refusal.
Gurus in the house can confirm this as I am not sure.

Please house, My spouse updated her profile as a newly wed,added me to the application and we've now submitted the ADRs. Now, the issue is,I was once denied a US visa and I dint actually see where I should indicate that have been refused entry into Canada or any other country on the schedule A form. Pls,what I can do right now to correct that error before it's too late.

No it is not a must to invest the money in a fixed investment. However, being that processing takes months, one stands a high chance of receiving ADR on status of funds from the VO if the funds is presented as being available in an account.
The amount that should be invested is based on the required settlement fund.

I have a question. For one who is relying on a gift deed for POF. After receiving the money, does he have to invest in a Treasury Bill or Mutual Funds or Fixed Deposit before he can use it as POF? If the answer is "Yes" does it have to be the full amount or just a part of it?

1. You don't need change of name on international passport. It is still valid after marriage. Lots of people never change the name on their passport. It is good to have change of name documents before ITA. E.g Newspaper publication etc.

2. You should go to the marriage registry and get a marriage certificate to be on the safe side.

It does not affect your PR in any way as long as you are honest about it in your PR application.

Pursuing Canadian visa has made me know what real heartbreak is. I earlier applied June last year, for study visa, My mistake was I applied with my wife ( we saw an advert somewhere online saying we could apply together), well, we were rejected visa. i applied alone on nov 3rd 2018 they didnt even waste time, by 22nd November they informed me my visa was rejected. Now its on their record I applied twice and was rejected twice: travel aplication history is affected. I have not given up sha, but have I completely ruined my chances to get visa to Canada? Does anyone think I could apply to Canada in the future? Or should I just focus on other countries? What if I try through PR would my record affect my application? God bless the African VOs and VOs worldwide who say we wont come back.

. Seems the VO was high on something when he was reviewing my app. I don't understand how he can tick the box saying I don't have funds to pay for the tuition fee when I attached the receipt of full payment for the two semesters.
Does anyone know if there is a need for revalidation of receipt upon defferal of admission? Not like am refiring, am just curious.

The VO would be wondering why is there no statement of account. The only answer to that is that the account does not have sufficient balance at the moment, meaning your sponsor does not have cash to spare after monthly expense. I am yet to see any one who has obtained a TRV without a SOA.
I guess if all the tuition fee has been paid, it would help to make your case. But i would advice you delay till a SOA with sufficient balance can be obtained.

There was a link to the CIC site some one sent earlier. The link inferred that they would check if a study leave was approved by the employer for the person requesting. When my application was delayed, one of the boxes ticked was employment status. I am assuming that was because i didn't attach a study leave from my employer. But, it's also true that others have gotten TRV without attaching a leave request. I guess how long you have worked for may be a factor the VO would consider if a study leave is required. You know this would be a form of a good home tie.

I suggest if the policy of your employer and the working environment allows you to apply for a study leave, you should apply for one, just keep it as quiet as possible.

Mind you, i also work in a bank. I have eventually had a study leave approved.

I think you should take your time and wait till admission for next year is open. I don't see any significant advantage in gaining admission with the purpose of deferring. Some schools will only allow you to deffer once. Xept there is advantage I am not seeing.

I have been told it could take up to 10working days and I think i am running late already.
Or can I include the wire transfer telex copy from the bank.

Except the SOA you presented is well funded to cater for your tuition fee and living expenses, you should not apply without a receipt of payment. Don't know if a telex message for wire transfer (assuming that was your mode of payment) can suffice. That's my two kobo.

However it was clearly stated on the form that if my deferment is approved , it will deny me of any right to request a refund even if my application is refused .All fees will remain with Lambton. I pray I don't get refused but I'm just trying to be logical . Would you advise me to first request a refund and then defer or should I go ahead with the deferment ? I already paid half of my tuition. Thanks for your help

Are you kidding, does that include tuition fee? If does, get your refund. there are others schools that won't be so stringent

Now i see, i wanted to start paniking.

Na Online oo. i should have applied now but my bank statement would have an opening balance of 1.8mm and closing at 4.8m. I am assuming the opening balance would be an issue. Also cos i had an inflow of 2.5m in June, So if i start my statement from July, that inflow would not reflect and my opening balance would be 3.7mm. What do you advice?

But i don't understand, the initial rejection was because your application was delayed? How much earlier must one apply as i intend to apply at teh last week of October for a program staring on the 5th of January. Is this to close? I can't afford to get a rejection because of a delayed application.

The letter from your employer must state that you are on study leave, else the your application may be rejected based on this. It happened to me.
