Dont go all in his face with the 'i love u' thing - u'll freak him out! He could say yes if he's shy but thats only cos he didnt know how to say no - Trust me, some shy guys dont know how to say no.

Try something simple, get tickets well in advance for a movie or restaurant or sports event or something, and then just ask him if he'd like to go with u - tell him u won the tickets or perhaps the tickets were a gift but u have 2 and would like to go with someone. If he accepts, thats a good start.

People pretend very well nowadays to get settled into a marriage, however, after marriage their true colours start coming through. Normally, one party would try to accommodate these changes, but with time it gets too much to bear and theings suddenly fall apart when the center cannot hold anymore.
That is when u see people airing those burdens they've had to bear and tolerate from the other party, thats when u discover it was bothering them and they were taking it in silence, thats when u see how much you've taken for granted and thats when alot of things start opening up in front of u - sadly, thats when u also realise it is too late.

I really dont think its a compatibility issue, people fall in and out of love because there is no sacrifice

I couldn't agree less, however people shouldn't air their views when it is untrue, unfounded, and aims to tarnish another persons image. The freedom of expression can easily become a violation of human rights too, especially when u know absolutely nothing about whom u're dealing with.
