Abuja – Gov. Jonah Jang of Plateau and factional Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), on Friday led 14 state governors to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa. Addressing State House correspondents after a closed door meeting, Jang said they were in the villa to consult with the President. He said “we have met with Mr President with me leading a team of governors from the Nigerian Governors Forum to congratulate Mr President and to consult with him on very serious national issues’’. When asked on the specific issues discussed with President Goodluck Jonathan, the governor said it ranged from security to governance and development. “You know the security problem in the country and what we need to do in the coming two years to ensure that democracy stabilised and development continues in the country,” he said. Also responding to the question of the division in NGF, he said: “Well, let me tell you that there is no any faction of the NGF. The NGF is one and I am the chairman of the NGF.’’ The governors, who met the president with Jang, included Liyel Imoke of Cross River, Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo, Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta, Peter Obi of Anambra, Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa and Theodore Orji of Abia. Others are Ramalan Yero of Kaduna State, Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State, Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom, Idris Wada of Kogi, Ibrahim Shema of Katsina State and Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State. Also in attendance were the acting Governor of Taraba, Garba Umar and the Deputy Governor of Benue, Steven Lawani. It would be recalled that following last Friday’s election of the NGF, Gov. Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers and Jang of Plateau both laid claim to the chairmanship of the forum. Amaechi was declared winner of the election with 19 votes to 16 polled by Jang, but loyalists to the Plateau governor faulted the results and declared Jang the winner. (NAN)........ Two must agree in order to walk together Amos 3:3,The forum is already divided and is not constitutional and thus should be scrapped ASAP..... I don't think any reasonable average Nigerian will miss the forum... .. As for Amechi, if you are not going to be loyal to the decisions of ur party u bow simple... U don't want to stay in peace and loyalty with ur party yet u don't want to go.... U re just as an agent of the opposition to ruin your party... God help you. |
For Enugu state Governor not to come for the event is because he might be too busy to make it because I am sure he's strongly behind Jang.... As for Nassarawa he might be unstable.... Jang is winning finally. |

[quote author=kettykings]Have you ever wondered where israelis were in the scheme of things before 1947 and what happened after 1947/48 when the nation of israel was declared and how the jews are now a technological/economic/military power. Do you think israel would have achieved anything if they were still under the palestinians or they were lumped under one country called meditarania with other Arab countries . Nigeria is a real stumbling block for the East , the East would have rapidly developed if they were not in Nigeria , same thing happened between the north and south Korea, if both were in the same country as they were before 1945 , at best south korea would have ended up as a little korean industrial zone and not an economic super power ( Samsung makes more money than all the oil wells in Nigeria). ....... even LG (south korean company) is also worth more than the oil wells Not only Samsung. |

Every reasonable being/person in Nigeria knows that Buhari and other notable northern leaders re d boko haram major sponsors. The problem is that GEJ is afraid to take the bull by d horn. |
