I informed my Manager from the start too (though informally during our 121) but I have been documenting it in a HR platform we use called Culture Amp after all of our weekly meetings but during last week meeting, another twist came in as he claims to have suffered depression and was on anti depressants for years and music is what makes him focus and he suffers mood swings which have left me clueless on how to handle his case. Mental health seems to be most excuse used in here. Wallahi, I don tire .

Mental health is a grey area, over exploited by many (simple because it's abstract)......

Is he medically diagnosed or self diagnosed.......

And was this disability, mentioned during the interview/application process....... An employer needs to make reasonable adjustments, if disability was mentioned........

Baba, I don’t think you understand my point. When I was in Nigeria, my rent was less than 350k per annum for 7 good years unchanged (landlord was based abroad and was happy with me as a good tenant). Back then, some colleagues said I was wasting my money by renting the house, as I could start building. I knew I didn’t have long term plans in that city and lo and behold, I japa’d. Now compare the % of my salary going as rent in Naija vs UK….UK rent takes a far bigger chunk of the salary. All I’m saying is the case to buy is amplified when the rent is so damn expensive.

If you amplify it too loudly, they might accuse you of making people run an unnecessary race ........🤣😂

In April, an employee was hired to directly report to me, in the past few weeks, I noticed he is always slow to respond to tickets, make so much errors which I have been covering his ass for, spends loads of time surfing the internet for music related stuffs including elections stuffs, listen loudly to music and would have to tap him to communicate with him. whenever this is pointed out to him, he is defensive, he lashes out that he is being micromanaged. is this really being micro managed? What is the best line of action to this? Even though I did sent a report of this to my line manager the IT Director last night and also have minute of our 121 meeting documented(with some of this issues mentioned).

NOTE: He is yet to pass probation in which review will be in about 2weeks.

My problem with your position, is not officially documenting your concerns (from DAY 1).....

Why did you deem it your responsibility to cover up, for an employee you are meant to micro - manage.......

If you don't document your concerns or raise concerns with HR/line manager...... They never happened.......

So when his probation review is due, you want to download all your concerns/observations, at one sitting.......

If i was in your shoes, from a few weeks of observing negative work ethics from the employee, I am washing my hands off........ 🤣😂

Which agency can help me sort out my bill with OVO energy. They are trying to rip me off . I use to submit my meter reading monthly but they claimed I didn't submit my feb-April reading so they gave me outrageous estimated billing. They agreed that I submitted January , may and June. I asked them the estimated amount should be the difference between January and May reading divided by Feb March and April but they chose to give outrageous estimated billing. I have be listed as debtor and recovery agent is asking me to pay. Please which agency or body can help me to resolve this issue. Note I have been to citizens advisory bureau but not much came out.

To start with, don't call your provider to sort this out.... Send them e-mails or letters.......

Assuming you have done the above, and you guys cannot come to an agreed position........

Tell your provider, you are escalating to the regulator... ..OFGEM is what you need .......😜
