Thank your for your support always. I am almost there but I have gotten level 2 survey report as recommended . Everything seems okay except this:
Extension Roofs
Both the side and rear roof elevations are traditionally pitched, and covered with concrete tiles,
thought to be Russell Grampian. There was a broken tile in the rear garden grounds which was
Russell Grampian. There was evidence of considerable replacement tiles on the roof elevations. My
own personal experience of Russell Grampian tiles is that they tend to crack on a regular basis,
which causes leakages. The replacement tiles would suggest that this property is suffering similar
problems. As such, it is quite likely that regular and on-going replacement of broken tiles will be
necessary, until such time as the roof is completely re-covered. Damp stains were present in the
side extension from previous leaks. The ridge tile of the rear extension would benefit from repointing.
The valley gutter at the bottom of the right section of the rear extension requires cleaning. It should
be ensured that valley gutter is kept in good condition at all times.
[b]Main Roof
The main roof is traditionally pitched, and covered with slates. Only a very shallow views were
possible of both front and rear elevations due to the limitations in garden grounds. However, where
seen, elevations appear generally straight and slates in satisfactory order. There is a dormer window
situated on the rear roof elevation.

I am due to exchange contract by friday and my solicitor has asked me if I am happy to request for fund from the lender. Please with this report what can you advice us to do.

Good day nairalanders, thank God this site is a faceless forum... Few weeks ago my dad told me he is HIV positive, when he told me I was disappointed but I made sure I didn't show it and I encouraged him... Him and my mother has been sick for a while and I certainly know he has transferred it to my mum.... My dad was very promiscuous when he was younger even after he married my mom he was still promiscuous. I am the only child and I have been footing the bills for their medical cares I am just 26 years old and I have spent so much and there is more spending still to come.... My father only told me, my mother is not aware of her health status all she thinks it's just a normal sickness happening to her. I have no one to talk to, I don't trust any friends because I believe when I tell them, they will certainly spread the news and you know the stigmatization against HIV patients, it's not good... I am frustrated, depressed and financially drained, sometimes I stay in my room and cry.... To avoid thinking, sometimes I just drink some alcohol... This issue has been in my heart for several weeks I just had to put it on Nairaland to ease my pain. My father just called me today that my mom has been admitted to the hospital, she was too weak to even walk.... Another spending and I am running out of cash, don't know what to do anymore. It wouldn't be this severe if they found out earlier, it's almost late. May God help me and my parents.

I would expect the medical team, looking after your mum to have already made her aware of her diagnosis/prognosis.........

If i was in your shoes, 100% of my medical bills would be directed solely to my mother.......

I don't have a direct answer to your question, but in your shoes, I will open a pounds mutual fund account in Nigeria with Stanbic IBTC asset management and dump the pounds there. The pounds will retain it's value as pounds and will grow with the mutual fund interest rate which is higher than normal bank rate. Revolut will not even give you interest.

I feel this is a good idea, only if you want to use funds in Nigeria....... If you hope to recall funds to £ later, your gains would be eroded + you might incur some losses......

But going down this your thought process, I would open a 1st bank savings account or Branch....... On ₦4 million, you would receive an interest of ₦25K per month guaranteed...... 🤣😂

Simply navigate to the investment part of Monzo, either put in savings or investments (with investments funds are used to buy ETF's). Depending on your risk appetite on type of investments........ I am set at maximum risk....... 😜🤣

If this was my money and I had no short term plans to spend it....... What I would do is :-

1 - Either open a Monzo account and lock it a savings account, you would receive about £10 per month.......
2 - Put money with a fund manager like Blackrock, moneyfarm or nutmeg..... And receive about 20% appreciation per year (cash invested can go up or down)....... 😁🤣
