Ran an eligibility check, got approved by Natwest for 19months 0% purchase and balance transfer card. My question now is:

Does that our pattern of using around 30 - 35% credit limit still applies to this type of card??

Or one can use everything and pay within the time frame.

Want to know before I proceed with the application or make I just leave the thing and go my way. Cos if that credit card limit apply, then na bank loan go favour me.

Abeg who de awake make e help me answer this question.

That 30% usage, is simply a guide...... I personally, totally ignore that usage limit........πŸ˜‚

Rule of thumb : Don't over leverage yourself..... Use what you can easily and conveniently payback..... Simple.....😜😁

My credit score might drop a bit, but when it rises..... It goes up like the rod of Moses (I have never missed a payment + never gone over my limits)..... This 2 factors, are the koko.......😁

There is no reason why Nigeria can't have a national carrier.... managed and profitable.. especially with the nos of travel to/fro ..

Corruption

The main reason Nigeria cannot have a main carrier, is due to the historical debt, hanging on Nigeria Airways neck + all the unpaid hotel accommodation debts + landing charges debt, logistical debt, broken trust issues etc etc ........

Most countries, would simply impound the jets........😁

Cardosso a.k.a Cardi B is trying sha (even though he's behaving like person wey dey take sth wey dey strong like cocaine). Yes, increasing interest rate is a big mistake because majority of the excess liquidity they want to mop up is outside the banking system and Cardi B is still increasing money supply (printing) from his end. You see why I said he's taking sth very strong? grin

The problem is just 15% monetary and 85% fiscal which is supposed to be pushed by Wale E but that one has disappeared like his predecessor Ahmed Zainab.

If the structural fundamentals are not fixed, monetary policies would not work .........

The truth is binance provided a platform for people to exchange USD/NGN (digital BDC) and it was very efficient because of the kyc and verification setup. Binance was a problem in the sense that it was acting as a market maker and somehow setting the price of USD/NGN for the general market.

When govt first moved against them, they put a cap on sell limit to correct this. Binance is never the reason why naira is depreciating.

GEJ did 2.3m bpd in oil production, today it's around 1.3m bpd. Where's the 1m bpd difference that could help us with forex?

GEJ did 4.5b USD per annum in foreign direct investment, today it's less than 300m per annum USD. Where's the 4.0 bn USD that could help us to stabilize naira?

Instead of focusing on the issues, they are busy chasing shadows. They have now reverted back to the failed policy of using reserves to defend naira. Kwakwakwa grin

Cardoso is busy chasing FDA, in an unstable economy (on all ramifications), increasing interest rates to encourage investors, in the process killing local investors, which would lead to another bout of hyper inflation and worsen the unemployment situation......

Chasing $, which might never come and further killing the ₦........😜

All this posturing.....Nah initial gra gra.....😁

Looting and moving the money outside Nigeria is what has been killing Nigeria since 1970

FX and fuel subsidies are fraudulent schemes designed to make fuel and dollars cheap for Nigeria on quote but in essence, a great arbitrage for the powerful and connected for round tripping

Do you know whatever happened to that Nigerian e-currency......

Imagine the amount spent to launch that white elephant..........

Now the same FG, is chasing binance....... Why are they not chasing bybit and others........ πŸ˜‚

Clear balance or move to another 0% balance transfer card on expiration of the 24/36 months. Rinse and repeat and never get to pay interest on the old balance. You need to be financially disciplined for this to work - no new spends on the credit cards as the internet will be due immediately.

If you can't clear balance......... Simply apply for another balance transfer card ........πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

By the time you BT twice, one would understand the game and be more financially savvy ........😁😜

But even with 0%
One must pay balance transfer fees (typically 3.99% - 4.5% of balance to be transferred).

Absolutely..... But that's all you pay, till your BT period expires (hopefully person go don clear balance).......😁

Some lenders offer 0% fee, but with shorter BT periods.......😜

The way I rationalize paying hefty immigration sums upon renewal is that, its my way of getting another passport while paying in instalments. lol. Back in 2015 -2017 a few friend were shelling out between $60,000 to $100,000 to get a second passport, I just dey look they ask "where una dey see this money"? So in order not to scatter my mental health I tell myself that na same thing I dey do but Home office just dey allow me do instalment payments. cheesy. What you wrote up there resonates with me. I have been looking at getting zero percent interest cards that one can pay over 2 years in readiness for the next renewal. One thing I have learnt from this thread is the importance of building a great credit profile and using using credit responsibly.

Any main credit card with even 100% Apr ...... It does not matter....... Simply get another balance transfer card with 0%, and move balance....... πŸ˜‰

Clear balance within the 24/36 months....... Bob's your uncle..... πŸ˜‚

Guys, I have been trying to get an extended warranty for my 2012 Ford fiesta, but every warranty company I have tried (AA, RAC, Warranty wise) says my car has to be less than 12 years old. The mileage on the car is 57k.

Please what other option do I have?

Check that your vehicle does not have the dreaded ecoboost, aka ecoboom engine..... If it's not the ecoboom engine....... Just put about Β£45 aside every month (to cover emergencies).......πŸ€”

Vehicles don't normally go wrong, if appropriately maintained and serviced...... 😁

Warranty companies, usually shy away from older vehicles (you suppose sabi why)....., 🀣

Any one invested in Solar Energy and Batteries please?

I am thinking of going solar panels and batteries and go off the national grids. I may even sell the excess energy l will generate to the national grids and get paid by the energy companiesgrin grin

I have heard people do it, but they did not have anything good to say about it ......

Remember, you would require consent from your mortgage provider, prior to mounting those panels......😁
