Did your outings with friends brought the idea of Otrek?

Actually, no. I just randomly thought about it.

Looking at how people reacted positively to the tweet, what are the things you've done to make Otrek a reality?

Working with a developer already. I intend to make the app a reality because of the number of feedbacks I got.
Due to the insecurity issues in Nigeria, what are the security or preventive measures you're going to take for people to feel more secure when they connect with people on Otrek?

Yes I know there’d be security issues and we’d definitely work on that aspect. Can’t say much on that for now but it will be put into consideration.

Did Opay/Oride inspired you to give your App the name 'Otrek'?

The O is for ORGANIZED. That is “Organized Trek’. I don’t know what the o in Opay stands for so I can’t say it was inspired by them.

Have any agency messaged about working on your idea and are you willing to sell your app ideas to any company that is ready to pay a huge amount of money?

Developers, tech workers and the likes reached out but I already got who I need so I declined other offers. Nothing about buying the idea yet, I haven’t gotten that.

A user tagged Otrek 'The innovative app that will make trekking fun'; how would you make money by making trekking fun? Or are you trying to make it a voluntary app?

We’ll work on monetizing it. Can’t give details until then.

Since Otrek would be connecting people, do you see Otrek as a means of getting people into relationship; something like dating?

Lol, yes something like that can come off it. But it’s not basically a dating app, I just feel when people connect, things like that tend to happen. Eventually, it might lead to getting people into relationship.
Also, would Otrek be nationwide or just Lagos?

I’m dreaming big, bigger than Lagos. Bigger than one country.

Netherlands based R&B pop sensation Sharmila has just dropped her latest album.



The self-titled album ‘Sharmila’ contains previously written songs and material providing a real variety of styles to listen to.

Lexzai: You’ve been in this business for 6 years now, and when you started, a lot of your work as a publicist was getting much recognition from artists and labels. How else has PR changed over the years?

Akoh: PR has changed in Nigeria over the last few years because artistes have now discovered the art of monetizing their songs and also wanting to get royalties because they now know you can't be an A-List artiste forever

Lexzai: As a PR/Blogger/Media Strategist what are the essential materials that clients/artists should come to you with? I mean what are the materials that make it easiest for you to do your job as a PR?

Akoh: Not that much, the artwork/cover art, song of the artist (if the artist's aim is for people to download) and press release.

Lexzai: You being a social media enthusiast, I've seen you being dragged on social media by a few ladies, how do you feel when dragged on social media especially Twitter

Akoh: Yeah, not everybody can agree to your opinions and besides females can't handle rejection.

Lexzai: Is your reaction or reply to them, the same way you would react when you meet them personally?

Akoh: Yeah, obviously I don't hide how I feel

Lexzai: Having worked with a lot of artists and record labels, which artist or record label would you say you had the best experience with and bad too

Akoh: I don't have bad experience with artistes though, but artistes can be stubborn. Don Jazzy and Mavins is one of the best people to work with, no lies

Akoh: Reekado banks, Tipsy, Olamide, AJAY, Moelogo, Buju, El Manny and lots more. And talking about record labels, Don Jazzy and Mavins is one of the best people to work with, no lies

Lexzai: What personality traits or behaviors are shared by your clients who have become successful?

Akoh: Being a good listener and open to corrections every time

Lexzai: With the experience you've had in this PR business, what’s easiest for you to push: a single, EP or a full-length album?

Akoh: A single is easier to push

Lexzai: Can you tell me the story behind your music blog, Jukebox Music?

Akoh: Yeah, It was in my second year in 200Level in University. I and a friend Kelvin Pev (DJ cuppy's PA) Sat and were talking about having aa music blog and then, we came up with the name JUKEBOX because Jukebox is a traditional music player and that's how it happened

Lexzai: Most blogs diversify after their main mission isn't accomplished. What would you say your mission statement for the blog is and how have you been able to stick to the mission of your blog?

Akoh: Yeah, it's just knowing what you are standing for and sticking to it.

Lexzai: You have a big following on Social Media, how did you build it up?

Akoh: I just keep being active and having good content

Lexzai: How do artists and labels normally reach out to you?

In an Interview with CEO Exclusiveclue Abayomi Adekunle (Lexzai Exclusiveclue), Keabetswe Jan widely known as @akreana_ on Twitter took us on a journey on what made her ask the question “O Jewa Ke’ and how it changed people’s lives for better.


Please tell us more about you

My name is Keabetswe Jan. I Finished Matric last year, currently studying Nursing and also working part-time at a Local Occupational Health Clinic.



What does 'O Jewa Ke' means in English?

“What’s eating you?” which can also be regarded for a latter “What’s bothering you?”



What was the motivation behind O jewa ke on Twitter?

I’m always all about knowing how people are doing and how they’re feeling, what they want it life and all about them expressing themselves. So I tweeted “O jewa ke eng” with the genuine intention of knowing what was eating/bothering people.



As a brand influencer, who's your mentor?

My mom is my mentor, she literally guides me in the best possible directions, I can turn to her whenever things are taking a toll on me, whenever I need advice or whenever I myself need someone to talk or vent to. She’s also the most supportive person in my life.



Have you received any criticism concerning 'O Jewa Ke?'

Absolutely! People wanting the tweet to be deleted because they found it annoying, which I found ironic because whenever someone commits suicides it’s always a case of, “why didn’t he/she say anything”, but when they wanted to say something they were shut down.

I didn’t let that get to me, I didn’t delete the tweet, and I allowed people to use the platform of expressing their feelings whenever they had something that was bothering them.



If you received a proposal from a media house? Would you be willing to join to support humanity?

Yes, I would.



Stories of rape trauma, painful infidelity, loneliness, and every kind of misfortune cascaded from 'O Jewa Ke', has any law firm messaged you concerning how to get in touch with the victims involved?

No, but victims have been advised to open cases and do something about their situations/cases. Psychologist and people that are willing to also listen to people’s problems have asked victims to DM them and talk further about their problems and find possible solutions etc.



Apart from being a brand influencer? What are your hobbies? Or what do you do have the passion for and also fetch you money

I’m a netball player, wing attack, and also a promoter, promoting videos, businesses, and parties. I’m also a magazine ambassador, @AyanaMagazine_, a digital online magazine that’s about women empowerment and aims to deal with issues women face on a daily.



You said you are willing to take up a job at a media house? Does that mean you're seeking for a job?

No, I’m already working as an assistant nurse, to also gain experience as I’m studying nursing, at a health clinic. But I am willing to take up something that doesn’t require me to be there full-time, for example, a job that just wants me to be their content creator, bring ideas for support for humanity, etc.

Dr. Monica have attended the Stellar Awards and has shared the platform with many other artist many others in the industry. As a female, why did you choose barbing?

I chose Barbing because I’m passionate about it and I love it so much


Describe your experience cutting hair according to clients' instructions and/or current hairstyles.

Sometimes some clients come with their own specifications that might not be the normal way of cutting. Sometimes I am frustrated but I just have to follow their instructions carefully.

How do you feel when barbing men's hair?

Excited! happy .. I just feel very fulfilled


For how many years have you been barbing people's hair?

I have been barbing people’s hair for Nine (9) years


Looking at how far you've gone in barbing? Are you considering barbing as something your children can also run?

Oh yes !!!! Yes Yes

Did you learn barbing yourself or you served as an apprentice under someone?

Myself... And I ask questions from other barbers who are really good at what they do.

What have been your biggest surprise in this barbing business?

Hmmmmm my biggest surprise? There was a day a man walked into my office to get a haircut, as soon I finished, he gave me 10k and the service charge was 500 naira

Do your parents support you barbing people’s hair?

Yes! 100%

Which celebrity are you looking forward to barbing his/her hair?

Davido!!! I can’t wait for him to come through

What's your favorite hairstyle?

Fade and skin cut

Are you in a relationship?
