Oh, i forgot. Charlie Hardy was immense in goal. We signed him from Derby last year because we knew we were going to lose Darlington Osuchukwu.

The youngster is Emmanuel Ziro. To be honest i have not been too impressed by him in the lower age groups but he seems to have been active in this game. We will see how this season pans out for him.

Teddy Lamb was U-18 top scorer last season as well. Yes, Camacho, McEvoy, Shah, and Carrick might get their minutes diminished because those boys are really highly rated, but we will see how good they are when they are integrated. Anyways there is usually a lot of rotation at that level.

Fingers crossed.

Might have to pivot to the U18s for joy this season cos this senior team…only God knows what they’ll serve.

I don’t disagree. But I think Carrick should’ve benched most of them today at least. It’s not as if he didn’t have options.

I have been travelling for about 3 weeks now and have not really watched football. I saw extended highlights and the 2 that stood out were Jaime Camacho (CM/AM who also played RB at U-16s) and Junior Brown who played his natural LWF position ( he had to play on the right for most of last season cos of JJ and Ajayi).

* We are getting 2 highly rated midfielders from City ( Karim Cassim No 8 and David Eze No 6) but clearance will likely take months as usual.

There was another youngster named Emmanuel who had good footwork and squandered a few chances. GK Charlie Hardy was also okay.

If we can get Lamb from City the U18 attack would be cool. Camacho will feed him well. I suspect those incoming City boys might dislodge Camacho from that AM position tho.

You can’t come back from holiday and hit the ground running. As a player it takes a few games. For some it takes more.

The big boys haven’t played enough games to be match fit and Carrick played too many of them today. You might get away with playing one or two but when they’re more than 3 (coupled with several slow players and the cluelessness of Dorgu) it will affect the team.

See how swift Arsenal were moving yesterday compared to our sluggishness today.

Under-18s lost 1-0 today to City. The team played well but they lack firepower like I suspected.

JJ did not play (probably moved up to the U-21s for their Monday game. He scored a really nice goal for the Under-21s in a preseason game some days ago.

We looked fit and ready in preseason vs Atletico, PSG, and that team we scored like 5 goals against.

We started playing rubbish almost Immediately after the big boys returned. Too many sluggish players in a starting XI will kill the spirit and energy of those who are fit. Carrick f up.

It’s not Hull alone. There’s a fitness level required to play Premier League games.

I’m watching Ipswich vs Sunderland and the pace of the game and physicality of both teams is better than the rubbish we served vs Milan and today. If we carry the same sluggish play go meet both teams, they will pepper us.

Carrick and his players underrated Hull City and they got punished for it. Simple.

I'm not that surprised with the result tbh, my prediction was draw. I don't see us winning especially after watching the Milan match.

Watch how we will struggle to beat or even draw Ipswich at Old Trafford.

Zirkzee needs to come on for either Bruno or Cunha. Tielemans and Santos cant find them because they’re putting what little energy they have into hiding.

Hopefully Rashford won’t be worse than calamity Dorgu.

Is it the job of midfielders alone? The midfield has handled their responsibilities quite well. Tielemans has been sloppy sometimes tho.

Defending set pieces is the collective job of the team.

The midfield didn’t create any real chance the whole of the first half. Mbeumo has been the only semi lively attacker in the team.
Tielemans has been a bit sloppy but he’s been better than Santos, Cunha and Bruno IMO.

Hull two goals came from setpieces so I don't know why the midfield is getting blamed. We have dominated and gotten into their box 18 numerous times but the attack isn't clicking.

Is preventing goals from set pieces the job of defenders and attackers alone ?

If Carrick doesn’t make a half time sub he’s not going to make it here

Too many unfit players in the starting xi. Bruno, Tielemans, Cunha, Mazraoui. We’ve got too many of them in the middle of the park.

This game is about physicality. Playing fitter players (esp in midfield) would’ve been better. If we were able to match their physicality our quality would’ve simply shone through.

Na nepotism and favoritism go kill Carrick.

Mbeumo has been United’s biggest goal threat all preseason. Today, Carrick shunted him to the wings and played two unfit 8s (Bruno and Cunha) as false nines.

This Carrick has started to gba.

- Played Mbeumo as a striker throughout preseason. Started him on the wings today.
- Started an unfit Mazraoui that played a part in the 4-2 Milan loss.
- Shoehorned Bruno into the team even though he isn’t fit as well.
- Shoehorned Cunha too.
- Fletcher Nepotism.

The result of these decisions is the lethargic display we’ve had today and against AC Milan.

Also, Luke Shaw will soon cop an injury with the way he’s being deployed. We don’t have a capable alternative.
