Leyqute has started again. Flick ons bawo
Flick-ons are a type of one-touch pass that can quickly start an attack. It occurs usually when the GK or defender hits a long ball into the striker to evade pressure from the opponent. If your CF has accurate one-touch pass (or flick), he can quickly connect with nearby teammates and create chances. This way, you can cause major damages to your opponent from that situation.

That was what was being discussed by those guys on The Breakdown, the analysis channel of The Overlap (the picture I shared).

If you don’t understand something, it’s better to ask so you can be educated. And if you’re too egotistical to ask, just keep quiet. A ph ool, when quiet, is considered a wise man.

He had premier league experience which is all that matters and he did very well at Ipswich coming for cheap at just €30million and you still complained. Nothing satisfies United fans.
But you will still come here and cry when those players fail at Man Utd.

Go for a cheap striker in Delap with premier league experience you guys complain,go for the expensive one from another league you still complain. I have come to the conclusion United fans can never be satisfied with anything.
How many seasons has he had in the EPL and how many goals did he score?

If we get him, it had better work out. The difference between him and Rasmus is that he is not big and fast for nothing. He at least appears able to use his size and speed effectively.

The other crucial factor is that Mbeumo and Cunha will share the burden with him.
He’s also better in the air I think. And that sums it up. Throw him into the United squad of last season, I don’t think he would’ve made much difference.

The irony would be if he comes and Hojlund starts benching him. Would it be a good decision to have the two of them in the squad? There aren’t many games to go around like last season.

I'm trying to be positive but I'm so concerned about this.
I’m not happy with the risk. The only way this makes sense is if it turns out well.

I mean, our midfield is crying out for a quality addition but we’re splashing that much on an upcoming striker.

75m +5m Euros.

Their improved bid is more than 80m Euros in total. Ornstein didn’t provide details.

Honestly I would have preferred we go for an epl proven striker or not but at all.

A benefit of us not putting in a bid is that the clubs for any alternate targets won't know if we have that money to spend or not.
Smart.

We can even put out feelers that we’re willing to pay 100m so that Newcastle will up their bid. Then we’ll make a U-turn and walk away from the deal.

Na so City do for us when we bought Sanchez. Even Antony too, I think.

I think waiting for him to pick or make up his mind is the best move to prevent a bidding war which we will most likely never win.

Also we don’t want players who come here for the cash. We want players who naturally want Man United. At least we have them in cunha, mebuemo, and Bruno now.

I am lowkey praying he picks new castle so we can move on to something else like a good midfielder.
Even if he picks Man United, I’m not sure we should go ahead with the deal. I don’t think he’s miles ahead of Rasmussen, the recent mistake we made in this exact mould.

If we’re spending that amount of money on a striker, he should at least be premier league proven.

Noone will be gaslighted that the players are to be blamed if he cannot use this players to create a cohesive team especially if Manchester United are dragged into a relegation dog fight by Christmas 2025.
He should stop all this cho cho choo press interviews and get to work.
I repeat nobody is going to accept any gaslighting and throwing players under the bus if United are at the wrong side of the table after the first 10 matches in the season.

The only good thing is that this team is better at creating chances and scoring goals. The front 3 in the first half yesterday were very fluid and caused Everton plenty of headaches.

If they are fit and with Amad and Dorgu bombing forward, we can at least hope to outscore our opponents.

Yesterday while play was still ongoing Bruno was fighting with another player, and some players had to join them to settle the fight. Match was still ongoing o. Players that should be sprinting into position were fighting or settling fight. The indiscipline some dey make me purge.

You're almost guaranteed to see an opposition player outsprint our midfielders
One of my biggest worries is that Bruno, a player that time and time again drops standards, is looked up to for inspiration and consistency in maintaining high standards.

That second goal yesterday wouldn’t have happened if Bruno did the simple thing and Casemiro wasn’t finished.

Ball carrying abilities are intrinsic and do not depend on style of play, formation, or tactics.

This is almost the same thing as saying Ronaldo will miss 1v1 because he’s playing in a 4-2-4 formation instead of 4-3-3. His finishing ability is innate and natural. It doesn’t rely on formation, tactics or his team’s style of play.

Ugarte in particular hasnt looked great either under ETH, Amorim and obviously not at PSG. I just dont see the formation that will turn him into the powerhouse we need him to be.

He's tenacious but he lacks that robust physicality that Caicedo or Declan Rice have. He also doesnt progress the ball well either via passing or carrying. To me we've spent 60m on a 30m player.
Ugarte’s biggest disability is his intelligence on the ball.
I don’t know what happened to him yesterday but he was all over the place in the second half.

When it comes to getting the ball from defenders and progressing it up the pitch, he falls flat on his face. His first touch is suspect and he doesn’t possess those tangible qualities like a half-turn, shoulder drop, etc, to beat his man, evade the press and get the ball forward. His passes are suspect as well.

I don’t know if it’s the pressure or what, he’s just very poor in those areas. Almost gave a goal away yesterday because of this.

That’s why we need a Baleba-mould signing pronto.

With him there is a risk of repeating the Hojlund mistake. The saving grace now is that we have Mbeumo, Cunha, and an improving Amad to share the burden.
Honestly, I’d rather the club manage Hojlund instead of splashing on Sesko, just like we splashed on Hojlund.

The dad went on social media to be complaining about the club not respecting them and also claiming some overaged boys were in his boy’s set.

They can’t control him if they wish to keep the son. Nike flew the son out to Spain once and he had a tour of Nou Camp and met with Lamine Yamal.

The best we can hope is that man controls himself. Parents of hyped stars are impossible to control. There is always another club ready to toast them.
So if he doesn’t control himself, we just let things roll and miss out on a superstar or millions of pounds in potential transfer fees?

The club needs to find a way to get him under control.

Yeah the guy has been brought up to be a desperado by his dad who was a footballer but didn’t make the top leagues. I am hoping it does not give him tunnel vision like Garnacho.
Wawu.

The club needs to target his father and put him under control. We have to get good bucks for that kid. Getting him to sign a professional contract will be war.

Yeah. Shoretire's dad kept pressuring the club to play him above age groups. The guy was crushing it until he got to Under-18 at 14-15 and stagnated.

JJ's father has done the same thing. The difference is that JJ is a bigger talent and even last season at age 14 he made the Under-18 look easy. He played 72 mins in total and scored 3 goals. He still needs to get bigger though. I don't know why all our biggest talents lately have been relatively small in size (Greenwood and Mainoo being the exceptions).
I heard there was a match when he (JJ) dislocated his shoulder after a heavy collision. He refused to be subbed out, popped his shoulder back in, and went on to score a hattrick.

If this is true, then the mentality on him is monstrous. No wonder United broke protocol and gave him a squad number, even though he is still a scholar.

I stop my Mutv subscription in 2023 when bald fraud almost made me hate the club, i told myself that i cannot be giving my small money to United through subscription and they waste it on signing players like Mason Mount 😁.
Mason Mount 😀😀😀

His contract expires in 2028. If he plays okay this season and someone comes with an offer next summer, we shouldn’t hesitate to sell him- even if it’s for 40 million.

Kone is more talented than Collyer but Collyer is still ahead of him. If he continues to progress though, he can easily overtake Collyer.

The club needs to send Collyer out on loan this season to further his development. If not, he’s going to regress. And it’s not as if he’s an exceptional talent from the beginning.

For the Under-18s:

Ngwashi at CB has already played from last season and even played Under-21 but this is actually going to be his official 1st year as a scholar. Probably better than Kukonki or any of our recent academy products.

Jacob Watson who was Ngwashi’s main partner at Under-16. His height might be an issue at older age groups.

Ibrovic-Fletcher at AM. Very dominant at Under-16 level and will compete with Thwaites and Ibragimov.

Bradbury who is the only CF I have seen from the new group although Ajayi who is a LW might cover at CF as well. We promoted Obi and released the other Under-16 options so a little short there.

JJ Gabriel is the biggest talent. Probably biggest since Greenwood but we will see if he grows physically, avoids injuries, and if we are able to keep him. Everyone wants him and I suspect he is a Barca fan PLUS his dad seems to be problematic.
Looking forward to see how JJ Gabriel performs next season. He plays like Neymar to me and, as a young player, there’s loads of room for growth and development.

His dad is definitely a problem. He could be the stumbling block to that kid’s success. Remember Shoretire and how they kept rushing him? Hope that mistake won’t be repeated. Hope we won’t bow to pressure and allow the boy to grow physically and mentally. He’s potentially a 100m pounds player.
